Kal Tire

I went to Kal Tire earlier to find a socket that fits my lug nuts. I was received almost immediately by Dwayne and I have to say Dwayne went above and beyond for me, his customer service was beyond exceptional.
Even after fitting multiple different types of sockets that didn’t work he kept on trying again and again till one did, and then ordered the one that did. Dwayne even refused a tip even after I insisted on giving it to him, saying Kal Tire didn’t really do tips.
Thank you very much guys for everything, you guys are life savers!

Brought in my tire in and paid a premium price to patch it up. Rim sealant was left all over.

Noticed that one of my drive tires was low on air so I went in to get the air pressure checked on all the tires. Was told by the tire guy that all tires were at 100 PSI. That was very strange since it didn't look like the other ones but I went with trusting the guy since that is his job. Ended up going back the next day since I had a heavy load on the truck and you could clearly tell that the tire was almost flat. The guy never ended up checking the pressure in the tires and because of that I had to get a new $450 tire.

Was just getting a trailer tire moved from a damaged wheel to a new wheel, but I've used them in Ladner and White Rock (South Surrey) in the past, so here goes anyway:
Lots of parking, lot cleared of snow.

Quality work.

About all that I could ask for.

It was a great experience! Very accomodating. I have tried re-scheduling 3 times due to conflicts of urgent activities and it was easy to get an appointment. The actual service was fast and efficient. Highly recommended!

Went to Kal to get tires and the staff at Brookside location are super friendly and they recommend the best tires for your vehicle. I highly recommend them. They take the time to find out why your tires are going bald and do the research.

I had a flat on my spare today and bead leak on normal tire - things have been quite hard since moving back here but Marc was gratuitous and helpful … some people right now are in horrific binds and struggling just to make it to the next cheque - THANK YOU FOR BEING HUMANS AND HELPING ME - with a quick fix and I’m able to get to work again - the help I got today was above and beyond … and I got home SAFE

Quick friendly service, got in at a quiet time and was barely able to finish my Tim Hortons sandwich before it was ready.

Would have appreciated being told when I dropped off my flat tire that kal is now charging. I have never been charged before. When I questioned the service person he said they have in the last year. I said I wasn't this past year. And too boot they could only put the tire on next week. This was the worse service I have ever received from kal tire.

My second set of winters and this time I Dealt with Austin and Greg and greg took the time to explain options. They recommended the NOKIAN R3 WINTERS on the black Wheels. All i can say is WOW I have never had winters like this ever ever. So glad we went with Kal on Brookside Blvd My wife wont give me the car to drive anymore She cannot believe how they Stick with ice and snow. Will be getting the same tires for my other car next Winter. Thanks again Austin.

They take great care of you here! I've bought two sets of tires here in the past year and have had other work done as well - each time the service has been delivered in a friendly but professional way. All my future tire needs will go to this location.

They where quick just very lazy and bad practiceses the got the car in the air in no time but dis regard the lock nug key warning saying do not use with impact next removal of the tires was good but the when putting studded tires on you should NEVER place them on rims but as the 2 guys stod there and where actually spinning the studs on the rims which did leave a good amount of marks on the rims

Best part is they love to endanger lives becuse i explain how i drive on the highway so they went and put 55psi in the front tires and 26 psi in the back the guy who worked on the car had singed that there where set to 35psi

Fast and professional service, lounge room for customers with free coffee. Have two vehicles being serviced at this location. 4 out of 5 stars because they charged me almost twice the price that was quoted over the phone when the appointment was made. Not the most pleasant start of the day

I took my car in to have winter tires put on in January. The tires were great and had no issue until I started getting a low pressure indication from the tire sensor. Since I filled all the tires in the winter I did not notice until spring that the incompetent tech who replaced the tire had switched the fronts and the sensor was reading opposite sides. I took the car back to them to reprogram the sensors and that made it even worse. The car now lost one of the tire sensors completely. When I questioned them about the problem they indicated that I needed the original key fob to reprogram. I had indicated when I had dropped the car off for the new tires, and the reprogramming, that I had bought the car used and it did not come with one. They indicated that they could do the repair using a computer connection instead.

Great, I went back twice to have it done. The first time I went they said all the sensors worked and guess what, not even a day went by and it stopped working. Made an appointment to leave it with them to fix. Couple days later they said it was done and everything working (remember all this was being done without the original key fob which they knew we did not have) so my son picks up the car turns the key on in their parking lot and first thing that comes up is tire sensor warning.

I went back another time after that because they said that they could connect a computer directly to the obd11 port and do it that way. When I got there I was told that the computer was locked in a mechanics tool box and they did not have the key to get it on anyone on staff but this mechanic that could use the computer. I was done at this point.

I tried to speak with the manager of the Brookside location, however it became very clear that he had no interest in customer service or even standing behind the quality of work they do. In fact it was to the point that a heated debate started and I, the customer, was told to go away, (so much for superior customer service these days) guess they took him off the tools a little too soon.

I spoke with the regional manager but was pretty much told the same thing only a little nicer. Their solution, go to the dealer.

I have now been to the dealer and it is going to cost me $400 and possibly the loss of use of my aftermarket command start. I sure appreciate the dedication to service that Kal tire Brookside blvd seems to think they do not have to have. My suggestion to them is stop spending so much money on advertising and actually hire competent mechanics and management who know what they are doing. Knowing I did not have the original key fob, their first solution should have been to simply swap the tires back to the proper side, or better yet not mix them up in the first place. Really how hard is that to do. So, I truly thank the mechanic for making my life more difficult and wasting my hard earned money for their mess-up and to management for not making it right. I worked retail management for 8 years and would have been fired if I had handled a customer the way he did.

After 10+ years of dealing with Kal tire I have to say that this will be the last time they get any of my business, both personal and business, or recommendations, unless of course you like paying lots of money for work done and don't care what the end result is. Really unfortunate because I used to like dealing with them and recommending them to other people as a place that will make it right. Not any more I guess.

Had very bad experience at Brookside location Winnipeg. They tried to charged me for kal tire own mistake and don’t accept it. Even they don’t explain me anything and changed tires without permission. Brandon store made mistake and put me in risk on commercial truck. Steve (manager) was very rude.

Got my tires changed for $10/tire! Super quick service and went back the next day for a retorque (no appointment required). Really nice and helpful staff.

Well I have to tip my hat to KalTire management for returning a very reasonable commercial tire manager to the Winnipeg, MB route#90 location. I had an issue with a spare tire I had in storage for a couple years. (It was returned to me by KalTire staff after my 2016 new tire changeover and went straight to storage with a broken bead) I didn't realize this and went to use the spare earlier this year. Today I returned with this tire and was given a core credit towards my next purchase.
The fact that KalTire management and staff have reached out and solved this issue is why they have another satisfied customer.

The only tire store for me, very professional. You can sit and watch them work on your car or watch TV with a Starbucks coffee maker first class all the way. PS: good WiFi too

Good tires, but they really try to up-sell you on repair work. Just beware that not all the things they say need replacing are actually worn out.

Absolutly unprofessinal called ahead to book and appointment 4day ahead and nobody knew i was coming. Although they did fit me in. Utterly shocked when they found nothing wrong with my tires as they were cracked on tread and both wearing unevenly (steers). No extra effort put in to upsell items or inspection. Never going back.

I just had a very good experience. Had a quick leak in one tire and a slow one in the other. Service was prompt and friendly, and prices were reasonable. If I have any further issues I'll definitely go back to this location!

I had a nail stuck on my tire tread and I knew it probably didn't need a patch but I just wanted to double check, these guys were very honest and told me there wasn't a problem. Then I got an oil change from them. If you need good trustworthy mechanics, this is the place to go to!

Terrible service ordered tires a week prior salesman said it would be 20 minutes to change them over. Brought my car in it was supposed to have a 4 wheel alignment and car came back and staff forgot to do alignment an hour plus had passed didn't feel like waiting for another hour plus do my car never got it's alignment. Went to leave a discovered they put studded tires on my car and specifically asked for no studs due to a lot of city driving very in unprofessional place never go there again not send anyone there.
