Kern Hill Furniture

This review is specifically for Joey Morrissette. My spouse and I came into Kern Hill looking for a mattress. Joey was very polite and attentive when speaking to us. He was very knowledgeable about the products, and was not pushy in trying to sell us on something. He respected us and gave us space to have private conversations regarding budgets etc.he was happy to help us with other items in store, and if he was unsure about some information he would find it for us. Although we did not buy from this store, as we settled for a mattress that was exclusive to another brand of store. I would highly recommend Joey and we would gladly return to Kern Hill in order to work with him.

No high pressure sales here. I was able to buy the appliance I wanted in under 20 minutes at a reasonable price

We purchased a bed from Kern Hill. Nick & Nelson were excellent. They steered us in the right direction. Delivery was quick and on-time. A year later and we still love our bed!

We brought a bed frame on Saturday March 4th they delivered it on Monday march 6th. Can't beat that. Easy set up 5 legs tooks us ten minutes and its all done

Me and my mother bought my daughter (who was 3 years old at the time) a bed at Kern Hill Furniture in 1993; when the store was still located at 843 Main Street. The bed lasted for a very long time.

We dealt with Preston on our new Chase lounge and recliner, and he was excellent. He gave us straight and accurate answers regarding the ordering of items and shipping times, and was very knowledgeable about the products. Also, the young man working in the shipping receiving area who loaded us up was so friendly and respectful. Overall, a terrific experience.

My husband and recently went to Kern Hill to purchase a house full of furniture and appliance. You see we lost our home and contents to a fire. They had appliances and our master beds in stock, thank God!
The rest of the furniture followed approximately 2 months later.
Approximately 4 weeks after delivery we noticed that the headboard had split, they ordered a replacement and it too was splitting in the exact same corner. It never left the box and was returned to Kernhill. After a few emails back and forth. It was agreed by all parties that we would return this furniture and purchase a set that would hopefully remain in tact.
The owner Scott & Sales Associate Preston, were very attentive to our dilema, they bent over backwards to make things right. You can look, it and it is rare to find service like this anywhere in this City. Most of the time the answer you get from the bigger stores is” call customer service and they will make an appointment to have someone come out to repair the item in 2-3 months. ”

Very bad communication with the store and sales person to customer. Waited for weeks for a table, nothing came and had to call several times even for a loaner table since our table was removed. Entertainment unit came damaged, no concern what-so-ever and we called a few times and a refund was supposed to be issued. No email, no call no communication saying a refund was processed, when we showed up in person, we found out the issues was short and not what was promised. Very bad experience overall and will most likely not return for repeat business. A customer shouldn't have to chase down the sales or management for concerns and customers should be made a top priority, there is no excuses!

Bought a new Maytag Fridge and Stove, now a year back, no follow up by the sales person after the purchase, not a word, had some problems with the pair but Maytag direct looked after it.need a washer and dryer now someone else will respect my business with them. Disappointed

Wow. First time here! They welcomed you, asked if there was anything you needed held finding (we were looking for kitchen and laundry room appliances) they showed us what part of the store it was in and they said if we need anything to let them know! They didn't follow us the entire time we were in the store like most appliance stores! They checked up on us once in a while but didn't stalk us the whole time! Great experience and when we asked for help, the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable!

Bought a fridge, it didn’t work and the delivery guys damaged both the fridge and my floor. Kern Hill couldn’t be bothered to apologize and gave me the run-around. They finally replaced the fridge, which the next set of delivery guys damaged. And while this fridge works better than the first, stuff in my freezer is covered with frost or is always wet and the fridge keeps charging temperature settings on its own. Wish I’d never heard of Kern Hill.

I had an issue with one of my dining room chairs. I spoke to Scott and he arranged to have it repaired promptly. I was able to pick it up in a few days! His professional attitude and customer service was greatly appreciated. It was a pleasure to deal with him and his store. Staff is very friendly. Thks

Walked into the store looking to buy a king size bed and mattress set a couch and loveseat. The sales rep sat at his chair with his feet on the desk watching something on his tablet.
He looked up at me a couple of times as I circled the store looking for furniture.
After two laps of the store without anyone coming to see if I needed assistance I left.
I went down the street to Ashley and dropped almost $5000 on the furniture I was needing.
Salesperson was eager helpful and very engaging. Lost sale this time and I highly doubt they will get an opportunity on my next purchase.

Bought my 5 piece sectional for them and got fantastic service and fantastic prices. Will definitely be shopping there again for my next furniture piece!

We were in to purchase a chair that was showing on sale on the website. The sales person had no clue what I was talking about and kept trying to sell me a more expensive chair. Would not assist in any way to find the chair I wanted. So I said then I will go to another store and he was rude and stated he didn't know who would sell it. Well just down the street at Dufresne they had it and were more than happy to help sell me a chair. It is to bad I have bought many items from Kern hill but will not return.

Very impressed with their customer service. Had a problem with a dishwasher I purchased. They offered to return my purchase price. I will continue to buy from them. My experience with other furniture stores for appliances they do not replace or return your money.

After trying a bunch of furniture places closer to home in the St James area, finally made the journey to Kern Hill. Unfortunately I had something in my mind and wasn't going to settle for anything less. After looking at all my options, comparing and looking through fabrics, after a long while with help I finally found my dream sectional (which is NOT what I thought I would end up with, but am far happier than I could have expected). A HUGE thank you to Alex for all your help, information and most importantly for making it all happen. Because of you, I'm thrilled and will be back!

We had an excellent shopping experience at Kern-Hill. A big shout out to Preston. He was very knowledgeable about the products but not pushy or hovering over us, which I really appreciated. He gave us info upon request, then would leave us to browse and discuss. A lot of the products at Kern-Hill are of superior quality, so you would expect to pay a little more. However, the prices are surprisingly comparable, if not better, than what is being offered at the larger big box stores. As satisfied customers both with the service and with our purchase we will definitely be returning to shop at Kern-Hill again.

Staff is fairly knowledgeable and try to be helpful. Prices are the same as their competitors and they wouldn't budge on price.

I am a fan of Kern Hill, they have always treated me well and on the one occasion had a slight problem with my purchase, it was addressed and dealt with that day to my satisfaction.

I have bought several items here now. Good initial service but very poor on follow up when there have been issues and damaged products delivered.

Service was really good! But the prices are quite high and the store is so packed with stuff that it's difficult to get around the store.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Listened to what we were looking for and didn't try to force higher priced items on us.
