L.A. Barkman Park

Awesome place to go.
All ways well taken care of.
Only a play structure for the kids is missing

We just moved to Steinbach and found this park. For my wife and I, it is the perfect distance for a walk around.

On the scale of Steinbach, this is a good park. This is the go to sledding point in winter. But if you want a decent hike, I recommend going to Sandilands. It’s only 20-30 minutes away from here and has a lot of beautiful hiking trails

Out kids love this park. Lots of room for kids to go sledding! A lot of fun and pretty well looked after.

I would give it six stars if it would be available for the taxpayers to use in the winter time. Would be so nice to go out there in the snow and have a wiener roast that just hang out when the weather's half-decent. But no the powers to be in Steinbach decide that it should be locked up. Too bad that we can't you just like it should be used!

Nice open area with a big hill but no actual park for kids to play on. There are some work out structures that are neat.

Lots of work has been done in this park, especially on the north side! Two separate fenced dog runs (one larger area for larger dogs and a smaller area for small dogs). A basketball court and a renewed parking lot! I remember years ago the north parking lot was the only one. Then they built the east parking lot about 20 years ago and let the north one detiorate. Now the north has been renovated and refreshed! Park is looking great!

Very beautiful clean gated area with lots of open space to run and play. Our puppers loves visiting this dog park

Lovely park, plan to spend some time there if you are passing through steinbach. We were there for lunch and liked it.

This is in a prairie town and of course Prairie towns are flat. There's a nice Hill in the middle of the park that can be used to get some good exercise in the summer and in the winter it's an awesome toboggan run. The park itself has a very nice trail that winds around it and there's quite a few small growing trees.

Beautiful! Walking path, huge hill for flying a kite, sledding or a cardio workout!
There's a part still under construction, can't wait till it's done!

Nice hill, perfect for sleeding. There is also a exercise area and a walkway

Very small park and not so much going on here maybe put a kids splash park and extend the park with other facilities basketball tennis

This is beautiful and well maintained park, complete with walking trails, a hill for climbing in summer and tobogganing in winter. There are numerous picnic shelters and park benches. Also found on the grounds is an outdoor exercise area where the machines are coin operated. Within close walking range is the largest play steycture in the city. You'll find many community members enjoying this park during the summer months.

Fun to go sledding in winter and in summer you can watch fireworks. Trials for people to run or walk.
