Attended a community program, had great fun. Nice location with a big playground for football and cricket.

Not a whole lot here but one thing this park has in spades is room. There is a nice modern washroom now, as well as a new canoe launch that has been much needed. Best part is you can now reach the park from the north as the Waverly bridge has opened up after a long closure.

Great place to fish but crowded and filthy.
PICK UP AFTER YOURSELVES FFS.
ADULTS WITH KIDS LEAVING MESSES BEHIND! GREAT EXAMPLE!
Edit: August 8 2022.still garbage everywhere!

Well maintained but along the river untouched. Very nice. Seems to be a good place for fishing or family picknick or sports

Large open spaces with cute forest trails that cross over a large bridge. Bathrooms available, bonfire and picnic tables are open to the public.

Gorgeous park. Only negative was went there to kayak being told it had a really nice launch and awesome amenities (washrooms etc.) Got there at 1pm so reasonable time on a Friday and the gates to the launch to drop off ur kayaks or canoes was locked as well as the washrooms. Other than that I would say this place is great but it was a long walk to haul everything to the water with things being locked

Lovely place to paddle up La salle river. Ut was a bit too shallow to paddle by the monastery, but toward the golf course was beautiful. We saw a couple muskrats, 3 different kind of ducks and plenty of finches and birds we didn't recognize. The sounds they all make together are beautiful.

You play disc golf! Do a little bit of hiking.you do fishing and kayaking too! Good spot a day picnic and summer activities!

Great space and trails along the river. Thick Forrest within close reach to city. Park available if you want to play a game of soccer or cricket. Places for BBQ as well.

So much open space, not sure which way to go. You could walk for hours and saw a few with dogs. Nice park close to Winnipeg, but just outside city.
14 July 2021 21:20
Park is nice but many people think it's a dog park and let there dogs run around without being on a leash dogs are running up to you bugging you and all l hear is ooo don't worry he friendly

What an amazing park. Pic nic tables with fire pits. Great hiking paths, ski trails, skate on the river, snow shoe trails.

Playing disc golf here is awesome unless it is busy. Lots of non players camp on the course forcing you to skip many of the holes.

Very close to WInnipeg, nice slow moving river and plenty of fire pits and picnic tables.it wasnt very crowded when we went although it was the long weekend. They have disc golf there and a lot of people were doing that!

I absolutely adore this park. But because people continue to let their dogs off leash, I can't walk my anxious little dog there any more. These lack of three stars is on those people.

Park is really nice. Lots of spots for fishing along the banks. Lots of people paddling along the river in canoes and kayaks. They have disc golf course along the trails, which are nicely maintained, but the mixture of flying disc's and people walking is troublesome. The washrooms are nice and new, tons of parking and garbage cans.

Fantastic park for a good walk and let the dogs run. Good for picnicking as well. Too much space dedicated to Frisbee golf. A completely useless "sport".
20 June 2021 21:09
Very beautiful setting on the river. Plenty of parking. Close to the city and ready to get to. Played disc golf for the very first time there. Had a lot of fun.

A well maintained park with walking trails, frisbee golf course, fire pits, and washroom facilities. The La Salle river is partially dammed here, so the stretch along the park is wider and deeper and very nice for kayaking or canoeing. I've seen a lot of people fishing here as well, but have not tried it my self. I have seen big carp in the water though.

Nice little greenspace just on the fringe of the city. Disc golf course was very popular, hiking trail is scenic and not busy which was lovely (it was wet and portions were still covered in snow). Picnic tables and fire pits are available, and there are clean public washrooms.

A beautiful park with many nice trails. The loo[s is 3km and the Amisk trail is 7km. Parts of the loop can be a bit muddy in spring or after heavy rain

I love this place. This is my go to place when I want to just enjoy the nature and not be around many people. It's fun looking at people play with their adorable dogs, flying kites, playing frisbee, canoeing etc. By far the best park in Winnipeg. Plus the new washrooms are so clean.

Very nice quiet park, very green and nature like.
The new bathrooms are nice except there was no running water last time I went to visit.
14 July 2019 23:36
Great trails that follow the La Salle River. Covered so there is lots of shade. Lots of open field space for events. Public washrooms available as well.
12 July 2019 17:07
Great spot! We went down when the bridge was flooded and the kids really liked checking it out. The park was relatively dry. There weren't any grates on the fire pits so we couldn't cook the burgers we brought.

If you live South Winnipeg, this is one of the best spots for fishing/Canoe/Kayak. Environment is mostly quiet and not crowded.
Fishing is great here as there is DAM at this spot. I caught big Jack fish and Cat fish here.
Also paddling along the quiet and beautiful La Salle river is very nice. It is safe and current is low for paddling against the current.
