My mother has rented with them for over 10 years. They should be ashamed of themselves for how rundown they allow their properties to become. Their properties in Southdale are an eyesore in the neighbourhood. Their latest cheap “solution” to my mother’s fireplace failing an inspection due to lack of regular maintenance and repair is to board it up with no plan to make it operational again. Their greed infuriates me.

They don't do repairs (my outstanding repairs date from between 6 months and 6 years old) or any real maintenance. They don't deal with issues relating to the property or other tenants, and resident managers are rarely any help - probably because they are powerless to do anything without the support of their management.

The only time they will speak to you is when a issue may cause them problems, otherwise they will just ignore you. On the few occasions I've spoken to staff at the head office, they've ignored me for months, only to be dismissive, passive aggressive and rude when they finally bother to respond.

Give them a wide berth.

I have rented with Lakewood Agencies for 6 years now. Management has been very accommodating and my repair requests are completed promptly. Corinna and Chris are great people and always helpful.

They don’t attend to the tenants on time, they don’t take anything seriously, things get stolen easily and the agency will do absolutely nothing about it, they’re careless with everything and they don’t care about the tenants in general.it’s even worse in winter. Not a good idea if you are looking for a place in Fort Richmond.
