Leopold's Tavern Winnipeg - Osborne

This was my first time eating at Leopold's. I had only ordered delivery previously. The dill pickle burger did not disappoint! Service was great on a very busy night!

Love the plant based Quesadilla. Thank you thank you thank you so fresh and good.

Food and service were great, good drink selection. Only downside was not a lot of seating and music was very loud, hard to have a conversation.

Looking for a cauliflower bites flavour and dip combo? Try dill pickle with Cajun Caesar dip. Order extra gravy with a poutine for deliveries - you won’t regret it.

The club sandwich is one of my favourites around! There is a reason I order if every time! They post the poutine of the week on Instagram every week, I’ve tried a few and they’ve all been yummy! Even when I order for delivery, thing stay crispy when I get them!

Got late night takeout. Food was absolutely delicious and in great portions. They even left a nice little message on the bag. Would 10/10 reccomend! Picture is the baja tacos

Honestly Leopolds Tavern -South Osborne is my boyfriends and I go to food place! Recommend for a good time and good food.

Sera was a great server. Very intuitive and met our needs without us asking. Food was cooked well and tasted great.

Waited forever for my food when receiving it was cold and made me a have an upset stomach definitely not like the other Leopold.

Great atmosphere and great service. Just had drinks so can’t say how the food is. Will be back.

Excellent location, wonderful experience, really nice place to enjoy the weekend, but they need to improve the table service because our server was looking a little distracted and no interesting on helping us.

One of the best run Leo’s - ever! Too much? Well it’s true. I go way too often. The management and staff are professional, personable and provide a great atmosphere and excepcional service. The photo says it all.

First time ordering from here and definitely won't be the last! Had the Juke Burger which was probably one of the tastiest burgers I've ever had. Ordered a side of shrimp and they were really good as well.

I visited the Osborne location for the first time last Friday, and was I ever impressed. From checking our ID's/vaccine cards, to receiving our meals all of the staff were wonderful! I had the burger week burger, and it was AWESOME! The drinks we ordered we all made really well, and life felt normal for the first time in 18 months. The building was clean, bathrooms were clean, and the service was amazing for a busy Friday night. Will be back for sure! The owner should look at keeping the Oz burger on the menu permanently, it is too good to only be there until the 14th!

Update. Following my 1 star review, the restaurant posted how to order (the website must have been updated or I'm losing my game).

The order site needs some work, but I appreciate it was there (eg ordering multiple items at once is not possible - you have to enter each one manually, rather than just saying 4 orders of fries and 5 burgers).

A group of guys from the office ordered 5 burger week burgers (takeout). The burger was really good - consistently 7 or 8 stars out of 10 among the five guys.

Came for the first time to try their burger week burger & it was AMAZING! Definitely some of the best fries I've had, too. The staff were very friendly & attentive. Great Entergy and atmosphere. Can't wait to come back soon!

Wow what a waste of money for what this place is. We order one burger meal to share and four beers. It cost 98.00, what a joke. This place felt like my grandma's basement 20 years ago with the mirrors and Xmas lights. Don't waste your money, way over priced! However ok the plus side the staff was amazing!

Alright. So this is the second Leopold's Ive visited in the city. When I entered, I was cordially greeted by a server and bar staff. Friendly conversation ensued about showing my vaccine QR, and they were fine with waiting for the app to load up my code (I am still waiting for my physical card) and match it with my ID. Perfect. As soon as I sat down, I was asked my drink of choice and offered a double (it was much needed). The short 40 minutes I spent there was filled with several further enjoyable conversations with the bar staff. The music also isn't so loud you cannot have a conversation, but loud enough you can just jam out to it alone. I would definitely recommend coming here as a single person or with a group. The atmosphere is excellent for ages 18 - 40 (or older if you are flexible enough to hang with the cool kids), and the music selection is a good blend of top 100 and other genres (I didn't hear any country music, for those of you who abhor it or will only go if they play it there).

Came here for the burger week special, even though they hadn't advertised it as such they have a vegetarian option. It was delicious, the pepper relish and rosemary aioli was *chefs kiss*. Our server was also vegetarian and had some other options too, she was attentive and friendly with excellent suggestions. Will be rating Leopold's as favourite burger this year!

A wonderful atmosphere. Friendly staff. Great food. Amazing beer selection. They are the best thing to happen to South Osborne in 2018.

I went here tonight with my girlfriend for some poutine after hearing it was worth checking out, and I definitely didn't hear wrong!

The gravy is delicious, not too salty and not too much of it on the poutine. They use cheese curds which is the only thing that constitutes a real poutine, let's be honest. The fries are the star, they are crispy but not overcooked, seasoned well but also not too salty.

As for the staff, the cook, Cole, made some great food and quite quickly. The wait staff, Jayda and Katie, were very helpful and friendly, and made a mean caeser!

All in all I would strongly recommend checking this place out, I sure am glad I did!

Great selection of beer and the food is fast and delicious. I love the brunch menu and they have vegan/vegetarian options. I didn't like the Caesar (drink) but that's okay.

Great poutines (poutine of the week) and Chipotle jalapêno, the gravy, fries is well-baked, no overcooked, perfect! Visited during the pandemic so take-out only, and therefore no comment on service.

Nice pub feel too it. Reminds me of gas Town or Yale town in Vancouver bc. Brought back a little of that home feeling. Amazing good size food aswell

Went for lunch at the Osborne location. Cool place. Friendly nice staff, good food, good pints. Try the Torque Coffee porter. Awesome.

Its a wannabe dive bar, hipster hangout. They act like their food is gods gift to man but its over priced and hit or miss.their gravy is really pepper-y, the mac n cheese is sweet? And the nachos are depression on a plate. Food wise the best food item on the menu is the buffalo chicken wrap. Based on personal experience skip the mixed drinks and just drink beer, the bartenders can't mix a drink to save their life. Its very sad. Its usually loud so I'd suggest going during lunch hours so you can hear your friend across the table or go alone.

I was suggested to wait 50 minutes for a takeout order, and not even during the busiest hours (around 5 pm)! I don't even know how your food tastes, maybe it's delicious, but I will never know that cause there's nothing in the world that can justify waiting 50 minutes for a burger. Unbelievable!

Service was good. But 14 bucks for 8 tiny wings with no flavour is a rip off. Honestly the wings look like they came from sparrow.

Had their La Poutine Week, yesterday! It was really good! Very busy for a Superbowl day of course, but the service was still great!

Hands down the best local neighborhood pub in the south Osborne area, couldn't be happier they opened up here.

Staff are friendly and funny, atmosphere is awesome and great nightly specials. They also make an amazing poutine. Highly recommended.

Pretty awesome little setup to hangout or grab some food.the food was amazing and had pretty big portions, the drinks were a little pricey compared to larger bars but its well worth it for the food.the music was a bit obnoxiously loud IMO and im only 22, was difficult to have conversations with people sitting a foot away from me let alone talk to the waiter.otherwise an awesome place to go out.

I'm not sure if it's because it was a Sunday, but the wait times were really really long. It took 50 minutes for our order to arrive (plus a long time to get someone to take our order, plus a long time to pay for our meal), and once it did I was honestly pretty disappointed. Our food was barely warm when it arrived and it was a lot smaller than I thought it would be for the price that we paid. I was really looking forward to eating here since the pictures of the poutines posted on Instagram look so good, but it honestly wasn't anything spectacular. The decor is nice at least.

Loved this pub. The Christmas decorations were overdone in exactly the right way. Pleasantly surprised to see Okanogan cider on tap! Friendly prompt service.

Vegans beware. We ordered nachos and poutine from plant based menu. They brought us real cheese nachos. We questioned the cheese - natural skeptics lol- it was indeed real cheese. Said they were going to comp our whole bill, then comp'd us only the cheese nachos and 1 drink. Better than not at all. The server really was amazing though, atmosphere is fun and great, just make sure your plant based is actually plant based.

Chicken burger was amazing, wings are good, had a minor issue with bills being incorrect and our server both fixed it and gave us free beverage coupons for our next visit! Cozy atmosphere perfect for small get togethers, give Leopold's a try!

Was excited to try this place but ended up pretty disappointed. The caesar tasted like drinking barbecue sauce, my margarita was below average for being 10$. We were told a half hour after ordering that the kitchen was backed up and would be a bit of a wait (understandable but would have been nice to know up front). Other tables were given drinks on the house for the wait but not us. When the food did come out all I can say about it was extremely average. My wrap tasted like a McDonald’s snack wrap covered in blue cheese.
I’ve heard good things about the poutine so maybe we just chose the wrong things to order! I did like the atmosphere and didn’t find the music to be too loud. But still a sad first experience.

Great and friendly place! The bartender upstairs treated us very well. Was quite happy they list gluten-free items on their food menu!

We got there for brunch last Sunday around 11: 45 and it was obviously after
the rush as there were about 4-5 tables still there. The bartender was very friendly, greeting us immediately and getting us a table. That was basically the only good service we had. Our server, named Melissa was very unfriendly. We were waiting for a few more people and had been looking at the menu and we were very intrigued with the idea of a monthly breakfast feature. When she finally came to takeout order, it wasn’t even mentioned, we had to ask what it was. Looking back, this should have been a sign of our server’s attitude. LAZY. We got our food and 2 of us had the wrong side dishes. Had a check back been done this would have been fixed promptly. I had to wave the bartender over who said he’d take care of it. 15 minutes later not taken care of and Melissa finally stopped by. So we tell her again and there is no apology. She just says “Well you can keep them and obviously I’m not charging you”. My friend then explains that she wants the regular hash browns though. Then Melissa asks me if I’d like another Caesar. Meanwhile I had ordered a Diet Coke 15 minutes earlier.
No refills on pop or coffee were offered in the 2 hours we were there and then the icing on the cake was needed service and then seeing our server sitting at the end of the bar sipping on a beer while she visited with a friend. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I was tempted to call my liqueur inspector friend on the spot, lol. She had several beer breaks while we were there not getting service.
Finally bills came and Melissa took my friend’s bill back to adding a poutine that we never received. If she was a little more aware of her table and did a check back she would have noticed that.
I could go on forever but it just doesn’t seem worth it. Brutal, lazy service from a disheveled server who looked like she rolled out of bed and needed to drink on the job to nurse her hang over, no management, and yes TOO LOUD! It’s brunch.turn the music down! We are all servers and feel like there are better places to eat and drink so don’t waste your time.

Me and my partner got food poisoning from the poutine we got, only thing we had that night, really disappointed as it's our first time and probably last at the Leopold's Tavern.
The staff was super nice, can't complain here.

Was impressed at the take out order we got! The server and bartender who took our order and got it ready for us were very friendly and the wait wasn't long.

Food was great. Not cheap but good value for money. We especially enjoyed the club sandwich. The mac and cheese could use a bit more flavour, it was a little bland but still tasty.

It isn't my kind of place in terms of atmosphere, it's pretty loud and crowded with blaring music. If you were in a party mood it would be perfect.

We'll definitely be trying more of the food at Leopolds in the future.

Cant wait until a second location opens up in my neighborhood. Any time possible I'm stopping at Leo's. They are unreal. Keep it up!
