Leopold's Tavern Winnipeg - Henderson

I went for dinner with a friend, and when we were leaving, we came out to two bouncers, physically assaulting, a female and a male. The one bouncer was dragging the female by her hair through the parking lot, and the other one was kicking the man in the face as he laid on the ground. I have never seen anything like this in my life. I’m shocked that this establishment would have goons like that working for them. I would never go there again, nor would I tell anyone else to. It’s clearly a volatile environment and not safe.

Low customer service. Bartender wasn't like to see us in this awesome place, I was very disappointed!

Have been waiting to go here for a while and never got around to it until today. Will never go again! The poutine of the month, Blackened Chicken Alfredo, was not good. The Alfredo was basically tasteless, a small amount of chicken, hardly any cheese and a scant amount of fries. For $20. My friend ordered a burger and it had a loonie sized bit of mayo spread on the top bun. When she asked for a proper amount of mayo a small bowl of mayo was brought - and she was charged for it! Although friendly enough, the server didn't check on us for quite some time after our order had been served and it wasn't even that busy. They said "sorry you don't like the poutine" and that was it. There are so many better places to eat. Jonesy's, for example, to name one. So many others. I don't recommend anyone choose Leopold's for food. Too bad.

I love Leo's because the food is always delicious, and they frequently have new items on their menu. When you walk In the people and overall atmosphere is so inviting I could stay here for hours with a good group of friends

Excellent tacos on taco Tuesday. Service was excellent, waitress was very friendly and food was prepared and served in short order.

Great place for family. Lots of menu options for any appetite. Gluten-free are appreciated.

Post-Jets game dinner with friends. No wait time for a table. The food was good, service also very good.

Been here a few times because we want to support our neighborhood restaurants. Food and service always good or better. The only negative would be the noise level; hard to have a conversation with people at the table.

Just too pricey for an evening out but food is great people are great just a very loud atmosphere not a place to chat.

Was really interested in checking this place out and was totally disappointed.

Most feedback seemed good, but wasn’t my experience. Came on a Wednesday evening and it wasn’t busy, but sat and waited for 15-min for someone to greet, or serve or even acknowledge me. I counted lots of staff but they were too busy talking to each other, or looking at their phones. You’d think service would be a priority given how many legit restaurants have been struggling since the pandemic. I guess business must be so good at Leopold’s they don’t have to care about servicing customers who want to pay to eat and drink there.

Hungry and thirsty, after literally 20-min of NO CONTACT I simply left and went to BP’s just down the street. Fortunately there I had a great experience; service and food was great.

I’d definitely recommend Boston Pizza Henderson, which is a quick walk or drive when you get ignored at Leopolds.

First time at the franchise. Love it. Great atmosphere. Alittle dark for my liking but it was overall a vibe. Service was always ontop for water and drink refreshers. Food was great! Highly recommend. And most definitely be back.

Skip the fish.
I decided to try Leopolds out since I had a craving for fish and chips and it's just down the street. Their menu suggests the fish and chips doesn't travel well and may arrive soggy, but I took a chance. It was hot and crisp out of the box, but unfortunately absolutely dreadful once I got past the crunchy outer coating.

As in, entirely inedible.

I don't know whether it was the excessively thick breading that was still raw inside or if the fish itself was maybe freezer burnt, old, and possibly made out of a non-fish substance, but I've never had such an odd encounter with a fairly straightforward dish.
I think it would have been equally awful if I had pulled it directly from the fryer myself before taking a bite. The fries were ok, though.

Unfortunately, that kind of food quality mistake isn't something I'm ok with in an age where everything is pricey, so I likely won't try again.

I love Leopolds, always great food and service. Only problem is they don't have phones at any locations. It's super irritating if you want to call and ask a quick question like "Are you showing UFC today? " No info on the site either.

I wouldn't call the place bad but went on their wing night and with 10 selections of unbreaded chicken, I found them pretty underwhelming and bland. Small and covered with pictures of wrestlers and whatever else they found to cut out of an old magazine hid any piece of the original walls and ceiling. I agree that in 2022 anyone is allowed to do anything or it offends them and social media is their weapon but the servers all wore baggy sweatpants and 30 year old sweaters. I'm not looking for lulu lemon but perhaps such a loose dresscode for staff could be more professional. I guess I liked their draft.

Absolutely amazing food for reasonable prices. Can't remember the last time I went to a restaurant and felt like I couldn't make it better at home. Absolutely amazing experiance will for sure be going again.

This place has fantastic food. The poutine is amazing. Anywhere that serves a bucket of bacon or a punchbowl of poutine should get 5 stars!

We went here for a burger and drink. It is very loud in the dinning area and I will likely try to sit on the patio to avoid this. Service was also slow consider there was 4 servers working and it didn't appear to be busy. When we asked the sever about the beers on tap she seemed unsure and had to go check.

Last night if le burger week and we were really looking forward to trying Leo’s on Henderson burger. It was a busy night for our family so we ordered take out through Leo’s to go. After 1.5 hours of waiting we tried to call to check in to see where our food was…Leo’s locations don’t have phones at their restaurant! To speak to someone about Leo’s to go they will respond in 24-48 hours! Our credit card had been charged though. Luckily I have social media and left a message on their Instagram acct.they responded immediately and told me to reach out to the delivery company we ordered through. I told them it was their own company Leo’s To Go. They said they would reach out to the general manager, I wished them luck. 30 minutes passed and I hadn’t heard so I reached out again and surprise surprise they weren’t able to get ahold of them either! Must be tough with no phones.
They offered us a gift card. We declined and asked for a refund. They said the general manager would call us the next day and issue that. We did wake up to a refund on our credit card. I am guessing we won’t hear from the general manager as it would be tricky with no phone.
Perhaps don’t offer a service to the outside public if there is no way to communicate with the inside. Bold of you to think you are flawless and people won’t need to communicate with you!

Not enjoying! The music is to loud inside! The patio is on Henderson hwy and traffic noise is ridiculous. Ordered a Vodka and tonic they got it wrong. Was planning on ordering food, but sent the drink back. My date and I finished her wine and we went to Boston pizza lounge. Very dissatisfied.

Was there with family for the first time Sunday evening. The atmosphere was very loud.
Couldn't even have a decent conversation without yelling at each other. Two family members had to send food back. Their fish was way too over cooked.
Not the best service and way to overpriced for food that is mediocre. Most likely wont be going back.

What kind of a restaurant does not have a phone? Some people don’t mind picking up their own food; why don’t you offer pick up anymore? Especially if the other option is unreliable, overpriced delivery.

Went for drinks.stayed for dinner too. Fun atmosphere. Amazing wait staff. Great tasting food. Yummy drinks. Good prices.

Six of us went out to dinner, portions we large for the most part and rest of the group enjoyed. I personally ordered the “chicken” wing special and was told I could only order one basket at a time, rather odd if you ask me and unlike any other restaurant I’ve gone to (check my other reviews). Wings arrived and I believe they came from the kiddies menu, as they were more like sparrow wings. A joke compared to the many other places you can go for wings. Our server was somewhat annoyed that we took a couple extra minutes to order and also couldn’t be bothered to bring the drinks to our end of the table, she felt it was appropriate to get the other people at our table to pass down our drinks, really? Agreed, this sounds like I’m being overly picky, however when you are looking to get a substantial tip at the end, I feel I’m in line with my comment. It then comes to the tip part of the bill. Higher prices and now also asking for MINIMUM 18% tip on the higher prices, for what? Not sure about everyone else, but I’m not making more money since COVID, but the restaurant industry is charging more and servers demanding larger tips, while some choose to delivery sub-standard service.
