Very pleased with my first visit. My therapist, Derek is phenomenal! Very gentle and understanding. Everyone was nice and helpful.

I have been living with shoulder pain for years thinking I would have to live with the chronic pain the rest of my life.
I actually got a diagnosis from Joe for what I have been living with.
I just have to follow the exercises he gave me and I know I will on the healing path.

They should call this place Friendly Physiotherapy. Come with the pain, leave with a smile.

I recently visited LOCAL Physiotherapy for some treatment, and I can confidently say that it was one of the best experiences I've had with a physiotherapy clinic. Derek and staff were incredibly knowledgeable and professional, and they made me feel comfortable and supported throughout my entire treatment.

I was particularly impressed with the attention to detail that Derek and staff paid to my specific needs and goals, and I felt like they really listened to me and tailored their treatment accordingly.

I have attended LOCAL Physiotherapy on a number of occasions, for different reasons. Derrick has been amazing in his diagnosis and treatment of positional vertigo, ‘frozen’ hip and tendinitis in the upper arm. He is an exceptional listener, and spends the required time working on the area with the appropriate and effective treatment. Derrick is very effective in providing activities and exercises for independent work. He works to get the area healed as quickly and thoroughly as possible. Overall, LOCAL Physio is well thought out and well equipped. There is nothing mediocre about this place!

I would highly recommend, Derek is always thorough, thoughtful, and helps me so much. I know he also travels to people who cannot come and see him. He is a very good physiotherapist. 10/10

I was referred to see Roland Lavallee (Rolly) by my physiatrist (pain specialist) in January 2023. Rolly is a fantastic physiotherapist. He answers all your questions and concerns and puts together an exercise program for you. He goes the extra mile to make sure his patients are well looked after in every way and forms an excellent team with your doctors. I contacted him a couple days after my first appointment with some concerns about the exercises. He responded immediately and was concerned about something I told him so he contacted my physiatrist and got him to contact me right away! This amazed me! I’ve had a lot of physiotherapists in Winnipeg and none have ever been as caring, responsive, knowledgeable and proactive as Rolly! So I give him top marks for being the best physiotherapist I’ve ever had!

From the very first moment I called Local Physiotherapy for help, I was very impressed with Kara, front line representative, who was so helpful, and compassionate and went above and beyond to ensure that I was fit in a very tight schedule with Derek. I was also very impressed with Derek, who was referred to me by my GP and recommended by my ENT. Derek is so professional, kind and understanding and provided me with exercises to be done at home prior to my next appointment. I am so relieved to know that my well being is in the hands of Derek, Physiotherapist, who is proficient in his field of expertise.

My first appointment was very well organized, a very warm friendly environment and very respectful about informing me of where, when, who and how they would help me. Looking forward to the next appointments.

Joe is the best! I had seen him at his last place and when he left there, I tracked him down! He is knowledgeable, caring, kind but knows how to kick my butt when I need it! Now that I have developed some long term damage, I value the participation of Joe in my recovery! He has the "therapist" part of his job down to an art! I know with his help, I will continue to heal! I must add that the staff are all phenomenal and friendly! They always know which forms are needed and have them ready for me. I appreciate everything Local Physiotherapist has to offer! And only minutes from my home.extra bonus points lol!

Joe is a very knowledgeable PT. He has helped me with several other issues in the past at another clinic. The new place is very modern and welcoming. I appreciate the conveniences of email reminders for appointments and direct billing to my health insurance.

The clinic is amazing. My therapist explained to me exactly what My injury is and what the treatment plan to get better. I would recommend this clinic to anyone.
When my teen was injured he saw a therapist here to and with treatment was back to his energetic self.

Jackie and I have been being assessed and treated at local physio. Our treatment from Kara, Michelle and Rolland have been phenomenal. Not only do they treat u as a patient they treat you like family. They go above and beyond what you would expect. The knowledge that they have in assessing and treating and advocating for you is unreal. I can say in my experience that they all aided in my recovery and helped to loose 100 pounds in seven months. They aided with tools in strengthening my knee after 2 surgeries and were very supportive and advocated to get appropriate devices in for recovery. I am an emergency nurse. I appreciate all there care when you walk in the door and to the end of treatment. They are the staff who open there heart and make themselves available anytime. I would recommend local physio. All of the staff at local physio I thank you and I appreciate all that you have done for me and my family and many others. You guys are my hero’s and I thank you for all your hard work. Hopefully we will not get injured again but if we do local physio is our place of treatment where we will go. God bless you all.

Took my 4 year old daughter here for help, and they were excellent! They were kind, the facility is clean, and they really helped my daughter. They are in time, and truly care about helping their patients.

Wonderful care provided by Derek Purvis. He’s taken care of me in regards to my vertigo and my back etc. He always takes the time to listen and treat his patients. His staff are so wonderful and provide such great care.
