What a joke! The government services in this province are awful. They need to fire all the public servants and privatize as much as possible. My advice is CONTACT YOUR MLA.things won't change until the MLA offices are inundated with complaints. I am a tax paying Canadian citizen who merely moved to this backwards province from another province. The level of incompetence is equal to that of the Trudeau liberals. SHAMEFUL!

Extremely frustrating from their service. As I applied like 4 months ago and still they said it’s in processing.
It’s more worse when I actually need it urgently and they didn’t respond.
If there is rating in negative that will be best for them.

I started calling from 2: 30 on a Friday till 4: 30 no one can able to help, wait for the que then someone answer then transer again samething wait again its just repetitive, all of them they can't able to help, I got transferred for 4 times, I guess its a Happy Friday, almost home time, poor service no one knows the process of manitoba health card

I wanted a health card, as I moved from Ontario. I went around 10: 30 on a Friday, The lady was nice and professional. I was done in 10 minutes.

Depending on when you arrive during their business hours you may not receive full services. They cutoff full service after a certain time. Customers should have access to the same service regardless of when they arrive.

Very polite and coutious and explained the new policy they have. Unfortunatly they do t print cards on the spot anymore and csn take 4 to 6 weeks to mail a card out. But she explained it very clear and easy to understand

The black employee is very very RUDE!
When I handed him my ecopr, he asked me for the real document. I told him this is my ecopr copy, it is the real document. Then he started yelling at me for the real document and the card.
When I explained to him that I hadn’t received the physical card yet. He yelled louder and asked do you have your card over and over again. After I answered same question at lease three times, he said he need to ask his supervisor.
In fact, the ecopr document works, I don’t know why he keeps yelling and ask for the physical card. It’s very rude!

There are five windows but only two opening. Crowded and narrow space. People may wait almost 3 hours. No reception no consultant at all. I post three starts only because staff are nice.

I know this place is sometimes busy or sometimes smooth lineup. I went there with my husband got ticket and waited from 11am to 3 pm answer was sorry we are not able to register you today because lots of people in line are waiting. Even I requested that we came in person because we need it today but the girl refused. I left my 7 months daughter at someone place I visited twice as I came home to look after my daughter. My husband worked late night. Obviously doesn’t like the service. I am just requesting if you guys updated time online so we can came in person accordingly. And hired more staff please as some people left with number they give to wait in queue. Thank you

I will not give them stars at well. Very poor service as slow as sloths. They need to hire more people urgently. There is no system at all only turn numbers appears on screen not the aplhabet some of the numbers are missing. Total wastage of time. I wait there for 4 hours to get my new health card. Not enough sitting area for waiting time. Humble request to hire new people as it’s a health department it’s not a joke. Staff also need some energy as they are working not sitting on sofas at their homes.

Needs to be a better system to indicate where a person is in the queue. You have a 1-100 person queue with A, B, C, D but only have the number indicator on the boards, how is a person new to your office know if they are B33 or C33?

Disappointed in the lack of accessibility parking here for guests who need it most.

I wanted to start with that first. While there is an accessibility loading area for 15 minutes there is no dedicated areas for people with disabilities.

The staff here are incredibly friendly and understanding, I went to renew my card as it got cancelled.

The wait was about an hour, as the process per customer takes about 15 to 20 minutes depending on your needs.

Very Long lines but it had a good flow once you get a number. The first line is to check in and then they give you a number then you sit till they call your number.

Went there in person with my family. For the work permit holders, they need the work permit, employment letter and if you have marriage certificate it will be good. The whole process is very fast and you can get the health card within 1 or 2 hours. It is better than applying online.

I Went here 20 minutes before closing and it was little busy.

I need to change address on my MB Health Card. The whole process took 5 minutes and I got my Mb health card printed immediately. Staff worked quickly.

Going in-person is better than online or over the phone in my opinion.

Sent in my application a year ago and had to call in Feb to get an update they told me it would be 3 weeks till I got it in the mail and still nothing. What a joke.

Applied for changing address 4 months ago and status update. And now discovered that was cancelled my Manitoba health, when need doctors exam… worse customer service, during COVID everything closed and waiting by phone 30 minutes

One of the worst service in Winnipeg. I think the people working there are similar to sloths. They don't care whether you live or die. They don't have a sense of emergency. They will always find an excuse. I don't know why health minister Audrey Gordon doesn't look into this office. Just listen to recorded phone calls and you'll see what's the problem here.

I miss the days when we could walk-in, apply for a health card, and get it on the spot.
The office has been closed for 6 months now and everything's done online (or via phone) including health card applications. Be prepared to wait 2-3 months to receive your health card.

@Manitoba Health, you can make this process easier by re-opening your office. The province is set to relax all COVID mandates on March 1st. Hope you'll do the right thing and re-open by then. Let's stop all this unwarranted COVID-19 paranoia and get back to work instead of using the pandemic to justify inefficiency.

Very rude customer service. They need to be reevaluated or get a survey/review from people after each call with customer
