DO NOT BOOK CLASS 1 ROAD TEST HERE!
The examiners are lazy and just want to get the test over with when it’s cold out! Surge in particular is the worst examiner there is, works as hard as he can to find something wrong and claims he didn’t hear you say half your pre trip. Make the trip out to Brandon and don’t waste your time and money at this joke of an mpi.

MPI is the worst service in this country for auto insurance. Typical Manitoba bureaucracy, so bloated and infective. Only in Manitoba can you have entire sections of the market monopolized by the government. Free market capitalist rules for everyone else but the Manitoba government!

People they leave Manitoba because of MPi complications, especially class 1 examiner's they need more training to be examiner's.as what it is doesn't matter your driving skills and your really safe driver if the examiner's doesn't like you, he fails you.

I am still in the midst of my claim. It was opened on May 5th and I am STILL without my car! It took almost a week to have MPI's towing company tow it to the Plessis yard. There it sat for another week and then ANOTHER week to be towed to my mechanic! In this process my key fob was lost by the towing company leaving my car at my mechanic's with no communication with him that my car had been delivered and a key "lost in space ". I had to intervene, order a new key fob through Birchwood BMW from Germany costing $400.00, plus the time to ship the key fob. More waiting and paying for insurance on a car that is useless to me! In order to prove ownership of my car, I went to my mechanic's and took pictures of my registration in my glove box. My interior of my car was covered in mud-door, steering wheel, dash, both front floor mats! It looked like a dog with muddy feet had trampled all throughout my car. Additionally the outside windows have bright marker with my license plate and "LOCKED NO KEY" written across the back and side windows. My car looks like it is ready for write off and impound! This one month ordeal by incompetent staff at the towing company and MPI could have been resolved in a half day! I had 2 tow trucks from CAA come to me in 90 minutes at my original destination but was obligated to use MPI's towing company who proved to be entirely incompetent. I am appalled by this whole experience and I am still without my vehicle! It's now a month later, June 5th and my mechanic is still waiting for MPI to approve his estimate.

Unfair, unprofessional, examiner.
Good luck for everyone trying to pass road test class 1.
They will try to fail you for stupid things especially if your brown.snakes everywhere in Manitoba that why people's moving to other provences.
Government of Manitoba need to take it seriously and make a control system. Maybe a record camera for road test class 1.

The security people would polite and very understanding. It took a few minutes to get in but there were no problems at all.
