Mary Brown's Chicken & Taters

Today i had terrible experience at their store. There was no one at the drive thru. I waited for so long and went inside to get food. There was huge rush in store and not enough staff. Not going again in this store.

False advertisement! Very unprofessional attitude! Over charged 5 customers at the same time!

It used to be good, now it has really gone downhill, poor customer service and very greasy small portion, will not go back, to many other restaurants in the area.

Their burgers/ sandwiches are among the best but recently i don't know if it's true or not, am seeing the bun and chicken size shrinking that is really disheartening. Only thing I like now like the spicy chicken sandwich but

I'm changing my review from last year. They used to be good but I don't know what happened lately. I bought their batter's box and I got sick afterwards. I bought one today after a month and I got sick again. I just can't anymore.

This place has been my favorite since I discovered it. The speed in preparation and the outcome of the meal turns out great and awesome. I love their spicy meal. A great and affordable place to eat with the family.

Is this supposed to be fast food? It took me 25 minutes to get my food in moderate business. My lunch is 30 minutes.

I ate there once for curiosity and another because of hunger. The food is expensive by comparison and chicken so salted up and lacking moisture.

Love this place because of the app and affordable prices, and the food is pretty good especially for fast food. Portion sizes I think are perfect.

I was attempting to place an online order w/Mary Browns & required tele support as I wasn't able to insert my online survey discount code to put towards my 2 orders of Big Mary's ($4.99) & 2 Pickle Chips ($1.99). The instore employee placed the order over the tele as she advise I would only be able to use my discount code in store so I sent my teenager to pay for the order (w/tap) & requested that a receipt be sent home w/him.to my dismay we were charged $7.49 for 2 orders of pickle chips instead of $3.98. Upon calling the store I was informed that pricing on the app & instore differs, I explained my dismay as I agreed to pay $1.99 per side order & tht my child would not verify the cost as he was instructed only to tap the bank card. Very long disturbing story; instore employees did not provide any info about prices varying in store& online despite being willing to place the order? ! The instore employees were unwilling to admit their fault in the situation & provide any form of compensation other than a discount of 15% which is standard when answering a survey. Upon request for a manager the instore employees also informed me that the manager, Prabh, would be away for another 1-2 weeks. This situation is very disheartening. My concerns are about the principles of business, the ethics. If a business is to encompass lifelong success they need to honor their customer base, not throw them under the bus.

Ontario MB’s was amazing, came here and you get a chicken tender in a bun as a Big Mary… two times in a row. Wayback burgers across the street is better and better value as well

Everytime I have visited I've enjoyed the food. The wait can take a bit sometimes, but it is well worth it.

Big fan of this location great service, the chicken is great, the taters are good the serving size is excellent, if you're looking for something a little bit different and a little bit cheaper than KFC, then go here! Sometimes you want something a little different!

The location was clean staff were extremely friendly and the food did not take very long to make. Of the few other locations I have been to this one provided the most pleasant experience for Mary Brown's

It was my first experience with Mary Brown's, the food was quite good. I liked the differenct choices and specially the pudding cups. The staff was good too.

Always good chicken, and my personal favorite the "taters poutine". Gravy is delicious.

Fast friendly service. Almost always out of apple pies, but today had some.but must've been sitting for awhile, no cinnamon and little sugar

Very good crispy chicken snacks and wonderful taters. Could have used a bith of salty seasoning for a bit more flavour.

This is our favorite chicken! Always made fresh - crispy coating surrounding juicy chicken. The chicken tenders are unreal! They are not all breading like at other places, you get a real chunk of chicken inside! We eat here more than we should.

I was very happy with the customer service and every related to the location itself. However, the chicken itself was just.okay. Not bad, but not great either. Maybe I had unrealistically high expectations after hearing a friend rave about how good it was, but I definitely expected it to be better.

I ordered Big Mary original and the taters were great, but Big Mary was a little bit dry, and also didn't like the bun. Whatsoever, it's just my personal taste

No doubt food is delicious and good portion. Never had any problem in the past. But for the last 2 times my order was short. Asked for 4 piece meal and got 2 pieces. Same thing happened twice in a row. Disappointed as I paid more money and didn’t get what was ordered.

I ordered for the first time tonight and I was very pleased! I got the spicy chicken burger and the poutine, both of which were good portions, fairly priced, and delicious. The chicken especially tasted very fresh.

I will definitely order again.

Love how they make their spicy big marry for me! I ask extra spicy mayo and they did put it on. Overall they made my chicken sandwich they way I like it:)

Compare to other franchises sandwiches, Big Mary is actually good. Chicken is delicious and taters is also good. Though their foods is little bit expensive. Like other franchises, they can offer more money saving deal so that people can actually afford it.

Fresh food, friendly stuff. I think their Big Mary Sandwiche is a close competitor of popeyes chicken ones (as per the taste although popeyes has big bun and thicker patty). They also offer spicy too!

Great place for a quick snug. Happy that they serve blessed meat which makes a difference. The staff is quick and courteous. Not a friendly location for people with special needs or wheel chair accessibility.

Update: now they charge 2.50$ for just dark meat! But yet below they responded they try to keep the prices as low as possible. Not. Prices just keep going up

Very good but far too expensive

Some of the best chicken sandwiches around. Also got to try out a sample of new spicy chicken and it had some really nice flavour.

I gave you 5 stars before, but I noticed that your chicken is becoming darker, burnt in taste it's like fried in old oil, it used to be lighter than this and you can taste the difference. Please use a new cooking oil. I ordered this opening hours.

Good food. You meet to introduce more options. Given a choice it would go to Popeyes rather than Marybrown because of the options Popeyes provide.
One good thing is Mary brown serves Halal meat. And the place is very clean and well maintained.

One of my favorite chicken spots. It's in my top 5 all time fried chicke places. Very light breading so it's not greasy at all. Coleslaw is on point and the wedges get the job done! Great job mary browns keep it up!

Went to the Mary Brown's on Pembina today and yuck! Expensive and disgusting. Ordered the little chicken pop-ins combo and the chicken inside them was unappetizing.most of the bites were like this weird dark meat.just gross. My partner ordered the 2 piece meal and the chicken was so so greasy and there was not much to the pieces. Way too expensive for the quality. We will never be going back.

My chicken was excellent as usual, but the fries was undercooked almost raw. Will still continue to come here best chicken around.

My second favorite chick place. But it is closer than the other by a significant amount, so I visit it a lot more than the other. Most chicken places have greasy chicken, but not Mary browns. Crispy and hot, the way chicken should be.

Staff was friendly and thats about all the good I have to say about this place. My food was crammed in the box with no care for its well being. Chicken was over deep fried and the fries were soggy mush. Ill still to my KFC from now on

Finally, chicken done right. The service was fantastic, the staff was friendly and very accommodating. This is hands down the best chicken in Winnipeg. Its perfectly seasoned, not oily and the best part is, the leftovers the next day. Customer for life. Love it!

Just saw management at the Pembina location (Winnipeg) treat a teenage black man horribly with a missing item from his order. I'm not sure if it's important that he's a teenager, or black, or both, but I'm sure at least one of those things was relevant.

He came in stating that he was missing a 3pc tenders from his order. After a couple of minutes, the staff told him he would have to wait for the manager to review camera footage to make sure he was telling the truth. The kid kinda shrugged awkwardly and agreed, and I tried sticking up for him a little. I felt terrible for him, but management was pretty firm on checking camera footage and making him stand there with the rest of his food getting cold.

I probably won't ever visit this restaurant again.

UPDATE: Restaurant replied, but they unfortunately lied when they said it's their policy to make customers wait while their food gets cold so the manager can review camera footage to see if they are lying. I've posted a screenshot of a positive review someone posted on Facebook also today for this store, and that review clearly says the opposite. "I noticed my taters were missing, and I went back and got it replaced, no questions asked"

Food was excellent and the service was great. We came in at 2 min after closing and they had turned the Deep Fryers off already but without complaining they fired them up again and made our meals. A+ for having a great staff that could easily turned us away.
