I dont know how people give good reviews, i guess they have never been to a better beach/lake. Water is so bad/disgusting, shallow and muddy. The beach is cute but very small. If going for swimming, terrible. If going for sitting by the beach, nice spot.

Very nice the o Ky down fall is you have to walk forever to get to the deeper water.

Matlock beach is about an hour outside of Winnipeg with a beautiful pier and sandy shoreline. Pictured is the neighbouring pier nearby.
The town has a small restaurant, convenience store, and ice cream shop. The beach is open to the public with ample parking and equipped with non-modern washrooms. There’s a small volleyball court, a playground, and two large tennis courts across the parking lot from the beach.
Worth the day trip! Also very close to Winnipeg Beach.

Beautiful! A place to come when you miss the ocean. The town could definitely scrape the sand free of weeds and other things like the rocks, so people can actually safely walk in the sand. Our town did it and it's not the hardest work.
