Great service, always courteous. They could improve on the retuning calls for service. I’ve had no problems with them and I do recommend them to fix your appliances correctly and honestly.

We had problems with our dishwasher and a technician came and fully examined it and found the problem by replacing a defective part. It now works great. Very pleased with our experience

Don't shop here. Ordered a washer and dryer the beginning of May and was told 2 to 4 weeks. It still hasn't arrived. I've been given little to no updates, called multiple times and been told that they would contact me and they haven't. I've had to go to them every time. I just want my washer and dryer not excuses. Delays happen and I understand that but this is beyond unacceptably poor customer service

Terrible experience with a salesman named Micheal brown. When asked for a good service he even threatened me to cancel my order. So rude and unethical person. We ordered full new house appliances set for over 25k. Dishwasher is not in and fridge water is not working. He didn't answer our phone calls or emails. He got his sale and commission he is done.

Shocking customer service. You pay for a 5 year warranty on something, you get told they will take 3-5 business days to get the part. Fine. 10 business days later with no response from anyone, you have to call them to find out what's going on, only to talk to a rude lady on the phone that shows no passion or care for anything. Talk to another lady on the phone to complain about the experience and she laughs and says she has to wait 4 months for her car to be fixed, like that's related or my problem, or a laughing matter. Won't be shopping here again 100%.

Oh and they have had the part within those 3-5 days, infact within 3, they just don't have someone to come install. Nice.

Unbelievable customer service! I have talked with a salesperson called Angela about my purchase from 15 days ago. My dishwasher is leaking and not working. She said I need to talk to the service department. When I asked the service department about the return and exchange policy she said I need to talk to sales. Therefore, she transferred me back to sales. Angela was so rude. She said yes, you called and you need to talk to the service department. I said I did, but they asked me to call you. She was so impatient. I said if you don’t have time for me can I talk to someone else? She said there is no one else I can talk to but her. When I asked about the return policy, she said I need to talk with the manager, but he is not in today and “I can guarantee you will not get a return. ”
I don’t understand why she needed to be so rude. I understand that return may not be possible, maybe an exchange or something else? I am really disappointed with her tone. I thought we would get better customer service from a local store than the big box store, but I was wrong.

There are incredibly good & kind people that work here. While the world is reeling from all sorts of shortages & slow shipping times etc, my experience with Tobie, Ron & Tanis, Nicole & Debbie has been nothing short of outstanding.

Did I wait for 6 months for an oven to be delivered? Yes. Did the oven I finally receive have an error code two months later? Yes. Was it frustrating & inconvenient? Yes. Was any of it the fault of the very kind & patient people who work at this establishment? Absolutely not.

Every person I have interacted with, despite the incredible stress I’m sure they have been under during this pandemic, has given me timely responses, has empathized with how frustrating this circumstance is and have also gone out of their way to be polite, cheerful, friendly, & are even striving to find ways to keep things just a little bit fun (Ron & Tanis absolutely charmed my young son today by telling him a “secret” that they were actually Santa & Mrs Claus & that they knew he had been a good boy).

I will shop here for appliances for the rest of my life because of how they have treated me & so should you. There aren't a lot of establishments that put kindness & client connection first these days, but Midland sure is one of the few who do. Give them your business!

Extremely disappointed in Midland’s customer service in regards to having our KitchenAid gas range repaired under warranty. Midland kept on giving us the runaround for 4 months. An absolutely terrible experience. Thankfully the warranty company was helpful and we eventually received our money back.
We would never buy from Midland again!

We went in to buy a dishwasher and picked out a Bosch we liked. The woman helping us said they had some currently in the warehouse. Great. So we asked to take one that day and we had a truck so there was need for delivery or install. Suddenly everything changed. All the dishwashers were being held for other customers, but she would email and call me if one became available. We were not in a huge rush so we said ok and asked to be put on a wait list and called when one freed up or they got more in stock. We never got a call back or any email updates. When I called I was told the pandemic was holding things up. After 4 months of waiting for our dishwasher to come in we gave up on them. In fact we still haven't heard back. We ended up going to Canadian Appliance World who were able to get us the dishwasher we wanted delivered and installed within a week.

Misleading sales tactics about stock. Telling me that such and such model is nowhere to be found in the entire city. And then offering mediocre model that has only 1 left! Last one.

But then I look online and make 2 phone calls to other stores who carry appliances. And guess what,? They have stock of those two models, available to be delivered within 1 week.

Why lie to me that this model is "the last one in Winnipeg"? When every other store has it too. Customers aren't gullible.

I really wanted to support the small business but you flat our refused to offer me any deal or to negotiate even by a mere few dollars or offer free warranty or free installation. Nothing. You don't want my business.

The second place I called offered me all of that and free warranty, and for $100 cheaper. You saved yourself $100 but lost a $2000 sale! Bye

The service was excellent, our sales guy Nathan walked us through all of the options that we had to replace our kitchen appliances and seemed very knowledgeable about the product he was selling us.

The store itself was well lit, clean and perfectly laid out with each set of appliances fully occupying their own little area making browsing for what you want a breeze.

Parking availability is pretty good with street parking in front and on the side of the building as well as a small lot behind the store itself.

Overall I had an excellent sales experience and would definitely recommend these guys for anyone looking into purchasing any new appliances.

We had heard that Midland was good so we stopped in to purchase a refrigerator when ours stopped working.

Unfortunately, we were made to feel like we were bothering them. The salesman didn’t even get off of his chair. We had called earlier and they told us what they had in stock. When we got there we were told they did not have that refrigerator in stock and tried to sell us a much more expensive one.

I ended up showing him a photo of the one we were told they had in stock and he replied “Oh - I think we have 5 or 6 of those”.

We walked across to Baine Appliances where we had outstanding service and ended up purchasing a refrigerator and a range and an oven hood. Couldn’t be happier with them. Sorry Midland.we tried.

Outstanding experience. Delivery was on time as promised. Sales Manager Mike went above and beyond following up after the sale to ensure everything was working as expected and reminded us to apply for the MB efficiency rebate which I didn't even know about which landed us an additional $150 back in our pocket. Definitely recommend Midland, especially Mike Finch!

I was unimpressed with the service received when ordering a new dishwasher for the office. Payment options were limited- etransfer or going into the store were the only options, creating a bit of an issue as our company doesn't have etransfers set up and due to covid, we didn't want to send someone to the store.

We also agreed to a delivery date that was pushed back once, then on the rescheduled date, they gave their subcontractor the wrong address, making us wait a few more days. I tried to call so I could talk to someone about this mix up and left a message, but no one called me back. I had to deal directly with the subcontractor and at no point did Midland even acknowledge the issue.

We were very happy with the pricing we were offered for two new LG appliances. While delivery was slowed by the pandemic, our appliacnes were delivered within hours of their arriving at the warehouse. Thank you Bryce and thank you Midland!

Went there today. A salesperson came to me. No greeting or anything whatsoever. I had to ask him how is he doing. He responded he is well. After mentioning to him I'm well too thanks for asking and after I just left the store pretty much. Not gonna spend time or $$ somewhere they don't appreciate who walk into their business. Sorry

We came in to look specifically at built in microwaves and within five seconds of entering we were met by someone, which was great. But after telling her what we wanted, and having to repeat our wish list several times, said salesperson then informed us repeatedly that wasn’t a microwave person and that she thought they were a waste of space. It was very off-putting. Additionally, parking was very unclear - which is not a deal breaker, just something to keep in mind.

We purchased a $700 dishwasher, they charged us a $200 down payment on October 7th. They said it would be available in a few days time as it was somewhere else in Winnipeg- a month later I called upset asking where the dishwasher was, I said that it had been a whole month and not one person had called to go over anything with us, to check in or tell us there would be a delay. The man on the phone was very defensive, instead of an apology he made it out that I should have known better. I asked him to please have someone call my husband that day- no call back. My husband called the salesman who was away- blaming covid- I am assuming that the salespeople only work for themselves- don’t' share information between each other and no one in the company looks out for the customer- who is spending a significant amount of money. It was excuse after excuse. We were to call back and he was sure it would be in. 12/22/2020 my husband called (yet again) the dishwasher was finally there and we could come get it- we said 3 months ago we had a truck available now we do not- could they deliver it "honestly- probably not" was the answer. I ended up calling and asking to speak to the manager they transferred me over and it went to voicemail. I politely left a message and never received a call back. I have never experienced a company that has zero respect for their clients, for their money or for their time. This has been a hard year for everyone and communication would have been the simplest method and we would have been fine, or perhaps at least knowing we could have gone elsewhere to purchase a much needed dishwasher. Please do not purchase from this company.

We had gone to another appliance company in the city and was met by rude associates. We grabbed the numbers we want and reached out to Midland. They were able to beat their competitors price and were professional. They kept me posted with the delivery dates of all my appliances and were always friendly. I would recommend midland to everyone, especially Nick he was extremely helpful.

Our dryer broke down and they sent us a tech to come and look at it, he said all our wiring and our plug socket was wrong. We then had to pay an electrician to come and look at our socket and wiring to tell us everything was fine. The same tech then returned and argued that something was different when it wasn't. Waste of money, waste of time go somewhere else.

"Poor Customer Service". Had my Frigidaire Professional Series (Fridge only) quit working just over a year ago. Had Midland service tech diagnose problem and indicated cooling system needed to be re-built and said better to just buy new one at this point. So went to Midland and Nick (salesperson) was quick to sell me both the replacement Frigidaire Refrigerator and Freezer. Both refrigerator and freezer have given me problems since purchase last year. Just last week new Frigidaire fridge failed. Called Nick and he said just past warranty period and no longer have fridge tech so gave me 3 places to call. One place no longer has fridge tech, one place can come December 4th and other place did not return call. Sent Nick an email and let him know and his reply was let me know how you make out on December 4th.
Midland Site indicates " Call owners and they would be happy to answer any questions you have". So I called last week and this week to talk to owner Derek and have yet to get a return call from him. A Tom called me last week and said he would call back Monday once he looks into it. Have yet to hear back from Tom or Derek.
My wife was able to find a refrigeration technician that diagnosed the problem and indicated cooling system needs to be rebuilt. Estimated cost of repairs $1500. Just over a year after delivery and I am left with these repairs and no help from Midland. Hard to support local when a company offers this kind of Customer Service. On a side note they ask you to leave comments on YP.ca, however do not allow site to post comments. I can understand why. Midland Customer

I purchased a very expensive washer and dryer, washer gives me problems every month and I’ve purchased an extended warranty or I’d be up creek without a paddle. You’ll have to call elsewhere for a claim and don’t forget your phone number if you changed it. I would highly recommend buying elsewhere. I asked for my number to be changed 3 times and they still didn’t do it. I’ve waited almost 2 weeks to hear back about my repair appointment and I had to call again to find out that the guy is not even available, no courtesy call to me and I have to wait longer now. I am very very disappointed in giving this place my thousands of dollars. Family of 5 and I’m using the laundromat during the pandemic, thank you Midland!

Midland is always great to deal with. Nick in Sales looked after us when the original Refrigerator we ordered was unavailable. GE Profile model he suggested as in stock worked out to be even better than what we originally ordered.

We always receive great customer service from Bryce. He has educated us and always helped us both in person and on the phone answering questions about products we've been interested in or purchased. Received print-offs on products that we were interested in, and in depth information regarding delivery, removal of old appliances, and expected delivery times. Was pleased with the pricing of the products at Midland, as we had done extensive searching online and in other stores prior to our visit.

I always receive excellent service at Midland. Their expertise and knowledgeable staff make sure you will be satisfied with your purchase. My most recent experience was withToby going above and beyond to find an ice maker for us. My husband just had knee replacement surgery and we desperately needed ice for his cold therapy machine. Apparently ice makers were sold out everywhere but Toby came through for us. Thank you so much. You are the best!

Tobie is one of the best salesman I've ever dealt with. He knows his stuff and never pushes you to buy their products. We bought everything we needed for a new house; fridge, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, stove. At one point he even told us to hold off on finalizing the selections since some of the appliances would have a better deal the following week. We followed his suggestions and ended up saving money while not compromising quality. I had been researching for appliances before Hawthorne Kitchen (Ron) recommend Midland. Midland has the best prices and warranties VS Costco, Best Buy and The Brick.

The only issue was the delay in delivery due to covid which is understandable and NOT Midland's fault. Tobie had a loaner fridge delivered to us for temporary use while waiting for our fridge to arrive.

Tobie is very responsive and always updated me for any changes.

After 5 years, if you do not have any claims on warranty, you can use the cost of warranty to buy new appliances (which The Brick also offered but more expensive and only 4 years).

All staff are friendly, not only Tobie. I think that this locale business is worth supporting for. I believe their management treats their employees very well and I can see it the way how their employees treat their customers.

I'm not going anywhere else for appliances. I have recommended this place to my friends and will continue to spread good words about Midland and Tobie. Will definitely come back to this place once it's time for replacements.

Good local non-big-box non-chain appliance store. Have purchased here twice now and quite happy with the sales. No pressure, give the information you want and prices that are competitive within a few dollars of competition and they take away the old appliances as part of the reasonable delivery charge. First time I bought a refrigerator they were able to have delivered next day with local stock which was unexpected but very appreciated. This time they did not have the matching dryer/ washer in stock for either of a Maytag or Whirlpool laundry set I was interested in. As I only needed the washer for now I am able to get one delivered within a few days but scheduled a different day to better accommodate my schedule. Cannot comment about service.

After going into the St Mary's location, my partner and I had a great experience with Nathan and decided to buy all of our appliances with them for our new home. Due to Covid-19, our options were a little limited but Nathan helped us pick out appliances that were in stock and he ASSURED us (on numerous occasions) that they would be delivered on Friday, July 3. Unfortunately that wasn't the case.the appliances didn't end up coming until 3 days later, and when they did come, the oven was damaged and the dryer was missing (and still is more than three weeks later.). The most frustrating part of this experience was that I always had to be the one to follow up with the status of my appliances. Even after connecting directly with the manager (Mike Finch) it seemed like he had other priorites (like selling more appliances.) than returning an actual customer's phone call.

Great people who are interested in not just getting but keeping you as a customer. So they will work to give you the best possible price (and we shopped around quite a bit), but they also have a "no lose" warranty plan and excellent customer service. After buying a stove there, there was never a question that we would go back when it was time to buy our dishwasher. Finally, we also had occasion to use their service department, and that was also a thoroughly positive experience. Highly recommended!

Excellent service and competitive pricing.the sales person was knowledgeable.there were delays in delivery of our washer and dryer (due to the rail blockages), and once we talked to manager they were able to look at other options and we had the equipment shipped from a different location. Would definitely go back again.

We just had a new fridge delivered and we were very pleased. The delivery guys were pleasant, we even had a few laughs, they were quick and efficient.
We love the new fridge and the in store service was great.

I bought a clothes washer and was really impressed with the whole operation. Bryce was very knowledgeable and helped me choose the right machine for my needs. It was in stock and I was able to pick it up right away. The warehouse staff was ready with it and they placed it into my van for me. It works like a charm and we love supporting the local business, and appreciate being able to call up and have questions answered right away.

Went there for a new stand-up complete freezer. Ordered and paid and made arrangements for delivery upon delivery to warehouse. Service was quick! When they came to the house, they measured the stairs, width and turning area down to the basement. We chose the wrong freezer. I had not measured mine and chose a bigger one. Could not bring the new ones downstairs. Too big. They took it back, removed the old one.
We went to choose a smaller one and the next day, they delivered the new other one. Great and excellent and friendly service for everyone.

Great place for Appliance's and very competitive pricing. Its great to deal with a local company that's been around for quite awhile instead of the big bow stores. Delivery and setup went great.friendly staff.
