Had a great experience at Modern Man. Best haircut in my life. Seriously talented barbers.

Don't ever go here for a hair cut took my 14 year old here for a cut. A blind hair dresser could do better looked like the guy put a bowl on his head. Went back to get them to fix it they said they couldn't fix what they caused don't go to the modern man in grant park shopping center I was forced to give one star when they deserved lower

This has been my go to haircut place for 5 plus years at this point. Never disappoints, I've had many different stylists and they have all been very kind and professional.

Enjoyed the service. Phoned in the morning for an appointment. Got one fir early afternoon. Was very happy with my cut and wash! I’ll be back.

Went here for the first time today, and was vary pleased with the service. They were on time, offered to hang my jacket as I walked in.

My Stylist was Alina and I was vary pleased with my Cut, style and beard trim. Was a complete new look for me (which I grow out for the new look), I showed Alina a picture of what I was shooting for, she hit the nail on the head.

Although I didn’t speak with everyone, rest of seemed vary nice and pleasant and chatty, from what I overheard.

I don’t pay to get my hair cut often but when I do, I will definitely be coming back.

An exceptional talented staff with your best interest at heart, meeting your personal groom requirements and if asked will share their opinion with a few options for your consideration. We'll worth the cost, nice to see customer service at its best.

Did not get a good haircut. Sideburns cut way too short + hair on the upper side of head was cut unevenly. Cut was not uniform and looks very amateurish for the price charged. Not going there again.

Great shop. Great staff. Go here. Go see Lou. Best barber in the city. Great atmosphere. Worth the trip.

I scheduled an appointment for 5: 15pm today.
I arrived 5 minutes early and was told to sit and wait until the barber would be done.
The staff proceeded to have me wait 45 minutes and then told me they were backed up.
No apology.
I cancelled my appointment because i didnt have time for it at this point.
Why have a scheduling system if you can't follow it?
This place really disappoints in service level from the staff.
You pay a premium to come here but the service is worse than singletons or magic cuts.

Called for an appointment. I showed up and was told that they don't cut black hair and then that someone made a mistake and the stylist was double-booked. Seemed like a mix of excuses. Don't recommend this location.

They have a really fun staff, but for some reason is a little to expensive for simple haircuts

The entire team is friendly and kind. They always ask if you have been looked after if you're waiting in a chair or by the door. Carla does great work in a sufficient amount of time with lots of attention to details. She managed to cut her finger unfortunately and I felt terrible. She wrapped her hand and gloved it and continued to cut as if nothing happened. Every time she made adjustments to her wrap on it she washed her hands and told me what she was doing/did to ensure my comfort and explain the blood wont come in contact with me. Very kind and caring to my comfort there and gave an amazing haircut as always. Price is very fair but I typically tip 5-10$ more dud to the value of hair cut given is much higher then the price they charge. Great staff, Great place. Management should be proud of its employees.

Worst experience ever. Messed up my hair. Some of the staff are Inexperienced and had to pay $35 for just cutting is unbelievable

You can buy American Crew stuff really cheap there. Hair cuts is awesome, recomment that place for sure.

Careful who you book with. Some of the younger guys charge higher prices for the same services. That said, Frank is the most experienced, doesn't over charge, and is 10/10 every time.

Its been 5 months since I was in Winnipeg visting my In-Laws. I needed a haircut and I went in to Modern Man Barber Shop and was served by Kristen.my hair was modernly cut with the most technologically advanced cutting instruments in the barber industry.since that fateful day in March of 2019 when my hair was coiffed by Kristen, I have had significant career advancement, my marriage has been rejuvenated, I have written a best selling novel, I have successfully invested amassing a fortune in the financial markets, my focus and mental prowess has increased, my athletic ability has doubled, and children and small animals no longer fear me.if I was to paint this picture properly, it is as if I am Bradley Cooper's character in Limitless.this is the good news.the bad news is that my hair has grown back out. I guess I will slowly see my life revert back to the way it was until I can get my next haircut fix from Kristen in Winnipeg which is 2300 kms away from where I live. I guess I will have to fly out at sometime to have my hair needs take care of before my mullet is halfway down my back. Great place to get your haircut, or any other service. I had Kristen as my amazing barber. She took the time to explain what she was doing and why, and took the extra time to make sure everything was derailed and well done. I will for sure go back for any future work.

She's moving to the Kenaston location which is even more convenient.

The stylists here really know their stuff. And this may be a little thing, but to me makes this place my new go to. But a wash is always included. I've been to other places and they charge you extra if you want your hair washed. Not to mention, Modern Man stylists know how to give a great head massage to boot!

As well, the cost is very reasonable, always a plus in my books.

Top quality. Thoroughly enjoyed my first haircut thereand it didn't break the bank! Definitely will be returning.

Here are a few ideas for you guys, maybe not hire 16 year olds who have absolutely no idea how to cut hair if you're not getting a fade, and letting them do it unsupervised, maybe if you book an appointment for 2: 00 pm not get the client in at 2: 30. May be if you're running a barber shop hire employees how to maintain a beard and not leave it halfway. If I'm doing half of that after coming back home there's no point in paying you $44 is there? You're supposed to be running a fully grown business with supposedly professionals not amateur hour express. Ridiculous.

Just had the worst experience ever. Booked an appointment at 3: 45 with "A. " Arrived on-time saying I had a 3: 45 appointment with "A" only to be told that I WAS WRONG, the appointment was for 4: 15. I had some some shopping to do and decided that they put me down for the wrong time so I left and came back at 4: 15, again saying I was there for my appointment with "A" and was again told that they were still busy and to hang me coat and wait, meanwhile I saw "A" standing there doing nothing. At 4: 30 I noticed "A" bringing out their coat to leave. I walked up to the counter for the 3rd time to ask about my appointment only to have ANOTHER person tell me I was wrong and my appointment was not with "A" but someone else for 4: 30. While waiting for 45 minutes may not seem like a long time to wait, for me it is as I work 80 hours a week managing and owning my own company and have very limited time, plus had a dinner set for 5: 00. At this time I expressed my frustration and left with not one single person apologizing for making me wait 45 minutes, after speaking to 4 different people and being told I was wrong each time. All the time "A" watching this play out. While this is EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, the VERY SAME THING HAPPENED TO MY WIFE ON HER BIRTHDAY, and our friend who works in the mall and recommended them only to leave to go to another place after the fact. What they need is an ADULT there to actually manage the place and not leave BUSINESS to the teenagers who are more interested in the music they play. To summarize: STAY AWAY unless you have no issues being delayed, given the run around and then told it is all your fault by everyone you speak to. There are plenty of other places that will treat their paying customers with the respect they actually deserve.
