Money Mart

This location should be closed down. Even the hours listed on google says it's open but loose-leaf on the door says new hours with 4pm as the closing time. Staff is slow, uneducated, and cannot multitask walking and chewing gum if their life depended on it.
Anyone rating this place with more than 1 star is doing it out of pitty. Avoid this location at all costs. Don't believe me?
Waste some time and go see for yourself.

Never answer their phone and when they do, it's an immediate hold and they hang up on you. Incredibly inconvenient as you can't always drive down yo the location and it would be a quick answer via the phone.

My experience here was TERRIBLE. I was travelling to London and Paris and needed pounds and euros. When I first called them to ask if they had pounds and euros, it was very hard to communicate with the person on the phone and I couldn’t even determine if they had the currency I needed so I said I would come in. I came in and met with the same person on the phone. I mentioned what I was looking for and they brought me pounds and euros. I paid for 100 pounds and 80 euros only when she passed them to me, she had given me 80 Scottish pounds and the "euros" she gave me were British pounds (which she didn’t believe and I had to point out). I mentioned this only to have her say she didn’t think they had any euros. So I left with the Scottish and British pounds. THEN I got to London and found out that the pounds they had sold me were so old (out of circulation for over 2 years), they wouldn’t accept them. I was instructed to try and exchange them at the bank or post office. I went to both the bank and post office only to be told they couldn’t take them and that they had to be taken to the Bank of England. I was so upset having to waste time on my trip to fix this mistake. Money Mart should not be allowed to sell old money not even in circulation. EXTREMELY dissatisfied.

Great friendly staff that have been very helpful in getting myself a short term loan as well as a few payday loans when times were tough.

Atrocious service. They are considered to be a Western Union location, but never have the money to actually pay the WU transfers. They are positioned as the currency exchange, but never have the most basic currency like US dollars. The staff is rude and screaming at the customers. Tried to get service there several times during the last few years - definitely Not recommended.

This is literally the WORST Winnipeg location they have. This one is right beside my house and I always use the one downtown because they actually know what they are doing. Whenever they tell me anything I call other locations and ask if it’s accurate and it never is. Waste of time
