Mongo's Grill

From the moment we walked in, the warmth and professionalism of the staff set the tone for what turned out to be a fantastic dining experience. I must give special accolades to Jaysey, whose attentiveness, friendliness, and expertise truly stood out. It's rare to encounter someone who not only serves your table but also enhances your meal with their positive energy and exceptional service. The entire team was awesome, but Jaysey, in particular, went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. Thank you for a wonderful evening - we can't wait to come back!

Some great memories having the stir-fry here. Collect the ingredients you prefer add oil sauce and spice to your liking and watch them cook and compile your creation. They have. One bowl pricing and then pay additional if you want salad or a second (third, fourth) bowl.

Coulda done without the cooks discussing one of their old coworkers, but at least they were funny while being mean.

We're regulars.much prefer this location over the one near Polo Park. Bigger bowls please:) great quick place for lunch & friendly staff & clean restaurant.

Went there for lunch! Fast service, friendly staff, good variety of food and stocked up, all fresh too, clean and tidy. Really good lunch!

Mongos has not been the same since covid hit. They started charging extra for the dragon sauce. Frustrating to say the least especially when I'm not putting some of the more expensive buffet options on my bowl. I noticed tonight cheese is now also extra - close to $2!?

Their prices have naturally increased and I can find better food for that price.

Went to the kenaston location tonight as my daughter really wanted to go. We told our waitress that our table was vegetarian and she said she would tell the grill. Got to the grill and the guy working said they aren't supposed to fully clean the grill because of vegetarians anymore but he'd make an exception tonight. Uhhh. What? He then proceeded to clean one spot and asked if it would be ok that they just used one spot. The restaurant was quiet at the time. They didn't need the space to fill a long que. No one else came to the grill when we were there. So random.

Then we got our dishes and it seemed like the sauces have been watered down. I know it's based on what you put in your sauces but I've had mine nailed down for quite a well and I went back more than once to add more flavor.

I can't imagine us going back.

So sad. We've had so many lovely family meals there.

Picked up 2 adult meals no flavour no taste just bland even after given bowl full of sauce waste of money

This was the first time going to Mongos since the pandemic and was very disappointed in the customer experience they've changed since going. The decision to increase the price significantly can be sort of explained. But on top of the price increase they decided to nickel and dim their customers. You want Dragon Rach dip? Not for a significant upcharge of 5% of your meal, per small shot glass. You want cheese and a wrap like I used to get? Those are 11% up charge each of your meal. That used to be included. That left a very poor taste in my mouth. The server was terrible. She brought our drinks half way through the meal, then asked us if we wanted refills after we were well passed finished and fed up. I had to ask for a high chair 4 times before getting fed up and walking across the restaurant to get it myself. Speaking with the manager proved to be ineffective other than an apology, yet the restaurant was only 1/3 full. Unfortunately I've been going 6-7 times per year for years and unfortunately I'll think twice about going back. There is very little customer experience and satisfaction here. I used to really enjoy going. See you in another 2 years I guess. Hopefully something changes for the better because right now that's a shell of what it once was.

This was my second time i’ve been here, first time in this location. AMAZING! You make your stir fry, add anything AND everything you want, sauces, meats, veggies, etc, and pass it over and watch them turn it into a masterpiece! They fry it up till it’s HOT and give it to you again to feast upon! Sydney made sure everything was perfect for us, drinks, salt n pepper, and etc.one of the most professional servers i’ve had anywhere. IN LOVE with this restaurant, and will DEFINITELY be going again at my earliest opportunity.thank you!

Daisy here is fantastic it’s very clean it’s very new it’s priced right everything is fresh and great I love this place definitely a five star review and thank you Daisy for looking after us

Mongos is normally excellent but this experience was just awful. Totally! Inattentive cooks burned my food and you could see they didn't even mix anything very well because there was just big clumps of spices and burn pieces of egg and noodles. As I was watching them cook at least a third of the stuff that I stacked on there ended up on the floor from them flinging it around. Even the pops that they served us in the bottles were expired. And they still wanted us to pay for the pops even though they didn't make us pay for the food that we didn't eat. Won't be eating at this location again.

No longer free on your birthday but children still eat for free on Tuesdays. Grandchildren enjoy watching the food being cooked and hitting the gong when they give a top.

Love the food. Such a unique experience where you pick the ingredients & spices yourself and they grill it right there. Loved the concept. Super fast service, excellent taste and good ambience to the place. Giving 4 stars as the place can be a little cleaner. Otherwise everything else is perfect.

The service and staff were way beyond awesome.
Food was delicious the cooks were extraordinary and entertaining. Sang O Canada at the request of a young man.
Would recommend all come here for a great experience.
