Moxie's Grill & Bar / Moxies Polo Park Restaurant

One word, misleading.
I had ordered an espresso martini with the assumption that they used actual espresso as mentioned on their menu.
When I had asked the male server running us our food, he told us that they didn’t actually have a machine in the back and that it was one of those quick coffee mixes. I wasn’t thrilled when I took my first sip of my espresso as it had tasted different than any other restaurants I’ve been to. Only to hear that it wasn’t actually espresso and that Moxies had it written on their menu. This comes across very misleading to consumers expecting real espresso. Felt like a waste of $14.
Food was good.

We were seated immediately which was great. Place was NOT busy at all. Waitress approached Repeatedly for our orders. Kept returning even if we did not have time to examine menu. Delivers food very quickly after order, then the usual checking on taste within 2 bites. Within another 5 minutes another staff member came by to check in our taste experience. Shortly after waitress was back to see if we needed another beverage. Second staff member came by to clear plates as we swallowed last bite. One member of our party was still eating, and was asked if they could remove her plate. I am usually happy with attention but this was way overboard! Sadly I won’t return to Moxies.

Excellent service and food. The waitress was very good at her job and they accommodated a last minute large party with ease. The food was delicious all around and allergen free options were well explained. Thank you so much!

The burgers here are terrible and so is the service the fries weren’t hot or crispy I spend over $40 here what a waste of money

Haven't been here in years, tried the blackened shrimp tacos and they were amazing. The place is a little pricey, but the experience is amazing so I'll pay a little extra. We were taken care of very well by the staff, The manager even came around to make sure everything was up to our satisfaction. Moxie's is definitely on the lunch list now, we will be going again.

Moxie's Polo Park is a great place to stop in when you are in the mall or the St. James area. The food is always excellent and the staff is great! Always a great dining experience and something a little upscale versus stopping in at the mall food court. Take a break from shopping and have a drink and relax.

My friends and I went here for dinner last night and our waiter & the kitchen staff were amazing! I’m on a very specific diet and they were so accommodating. They were friendly and our waiter was so great! It was my friends birthdays so he gave them brownies on the house and signed my fiancés birthday card haha. Thank you for the wonderful service Bralen S & staff!

Great food, atmosphere and staff. Prices are a bit high, and only 4 desserts. But still worth it. Love this location in Polo Park Shopping Center

Mykyla our server is sincerely cordial and accommodating. All restaurants are same, but it's the customer service that makes the huge difference.

Great pasta dish recommended by the server. Fresh spring drink menu, lavender lemonade very fragrant and a sweet twist. Ourcreservation time was respected, server was very attentive.

Love the atmosphere! Staff is friendly, food is good, decent portions, prices are comparable to other sit down restaurants. Girls/boys night out, date night would be my recommendations for the environment!

I come here often and I'm never disappointed. The staff are always friendly and personable, and the food is always delicious.

Great waitress lady very kind server. Our food service was very fast I was impressed ordered within 10 mins our meal came. The cooks are amazing I ordered the nachos a veggies burger and the fries side to Share. There beyond burger is so good gosh you'd want more and the nachos are fantastic. Very impressed. Will be my go to fancy Dancy date place.

Moxies is my first choice as far as restaurants. The food is always 102%. However this location appears to have staffing issues. I was served in the lounge. After receiving my meal a server didn't come by for 15 minutes. We use to have a really good server Justin I miss his amazing service

The food was great! Speedy service! Expo time was immaculate (under 10 minutes)! Our waiter was training a new employee. Hailey (the girl from who getting trained), did a great job. If anything, you should come back to this establishment for her trainer, Ryan. Amazing service from Ryan every time! Will definitely come back! Thank you for a great evening!

Nachos have been revamped. The platter is huge so bring your appetite or bring a friend! The menu says the meat is spicy but it's not. Still tasted great. Chips were fresh and crispy and it had a ton of cheese!

Soup and salad I had was Tortilla and Caesar. Caesar was bland, but I guess that's their market. The parmesan shavings were a nice touch, but were laid on top of manufactured croutons that tasted like the box they came in. The lettuce was fresh. The tortilla soup was pretty good and surprisingly spicy given how the Caesar dressing tasted. Garlic toast was soggy like it was kept warm. The service was quite friendly and efficient and probably the best part of the experience. My daughter loves the place, so we will be back.

Was a fun visit. Food was excellent. Server was good. Made sure we had our food asap even when she was busy elsewhere.

We were quite surprised that with Covid rules being pushed that my daughter, who was here from Calgary, wasn’t asked for proof of vaccine. I went to the washroom, first 3 stalls had no toilet paper, used up what was left in the 4th stall. Went to wash my hands, no soap in first dispenser, paper towels were almost at an end. Don’t preach about vivid then be so careless.

We had a lovely time and the staff were very covid conscientious, but unfortunately can't recommend them to anyone with allergies or food restrictions.

The server who took our order repeated it back to us correctly but did not write it down and our appetizer came to us with meat added to it that we did not want - even though the mains we ordered were meat free. Presumably if we sent it back it would just be thrown out, which seems far more wasteful, bad for the environment and disrespectful to the animal so we didn't bother saying anything. Still it was very frustrating and disappointing, we are unlikely to return as a result.

I haven't been to a Moxie's in God knows how long. My friend and I were celebrating our birthday months together and we were excited to try the burger from Le Burger Week. Definitely worth it! They even went above and beyond to cut it in half for us. The waitress' recommendation for the parmesan truffle fries was excellent! Everything about our experience was top notch. There isn't a better way to spend the afternoon day drinking with a friend and have a delicious lunch.

The crisy shicken sandwich is to die for, the fettuccine alfredo is deelish and so are the fries and dip. Go there at happy hour to enjoy the specials and the beautiful friendly waitresses will not let your cup go dry

The setting was nice and the service was good. The meal was OK but the price point is really too high for the experience. Gotta do better Moxie's.

Great service, delicious lettuce wrapped bacon cheese burger and caesar salad. I'm low carb btw.

Went for lunch yesterday with a friend and it was absolutely incredible. I'm a celiac person and the manager came and spoke with me and even served my food personally. I had no gluten reaction everything was perfect. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The Clubhouse Sandwich & Broccoli Cheese Soup lunch combo was delicious The Bar Staff took my menu request accurately and efficiently. The menu items were made correctly and in reasonable time $20 Lunch Thanks for making lunch Moxies Until next time. Highly recommended.

Disappointing overall, it's busy and crowded, the food is just okay, it's dark and loud. I've been to other Moxie's and had better experiences, maybe this one being in a mall loses something, I'm not sure.

We recently enjoyed a night out and the service was knock your socks off amazing!

From the hostess, the waiter and the perfect cooked food it was pure enjoyment.

I enjoy eating in and the excellent service. The food is meh. It’s a funny easy place to meet friends or have lunch with kids.

Took my date and we sat in the lounge for a quick drink before we started our evening. We were told to seat ourselves and I was disappointed every booth for 2 was dirty (however the waitress did clean it promptly). There was a very nice ambiance and we will come back. Just hope with the world the way it is you are more attentive.

Clean place, great food and drinks, super reasonable prices and very fast and friendly staff. An awesome place to pop in for a bite or beverage, the location is perfect!

I like Moxies. I had the Beef Dip the last time and it was very delicious. Daily drink specials and modestly priced with good service.

Ordered over the phone. Was warm and ready. A few different options for sauces provided, as well as cutlery. Polite and offered a drink too!

Changed the bruschetta again. So disappointed was not good at all. No broccoli soup! Service was great as usual.

I'm biased to the Kenaston location however my experience at the Polo Park location recently it was excellent and I now have a second location of Moxie's. I will gladly frequent

They ask you how your food is while you’re in the middle of chewing it, that’s called poor service. It’s rude, and makes for an unpleasant experience because they feel by asking while you can’t respond that they’ve done their job and are now entitled to a 15% gratuity.

Great food great service. It's been 10+ years since I've been there last but I remember enjoying the menu selection better back then

Went here for lunch on a whim. It was great. Get the sticky toffee pudding for desert. Ryan's caramel pour made it worth it.

Ordered a rare steak, & I could tell once I pressed my fork on it, that it was not rare. Starving & not wanting fast food, I wouldn’t let them replace it. Still, it was tasty & delicious, the blk peppercorn sauce was to die for, almost never enough. Veggies were cooked perfectly, colored carrots, zucchini & parsnips I think, all delicious, all perfect. Mgr came over, wanted to replace my steak, I was devouring it. He did make my meal right and my spouse & I are planning to return for our anniversary with 2 other couples.

Havent been here for a bit. Cozy place, enjoy the newer look. Had a few appetizers. Love how they smash the guacamole right in front of you. Tacos were amazing and the ceasar was great! Thanks guys. Hope to see you again soon.

Today I decided to dine out at Moxies Bar and Grill and I was not disappointed. The broccoli cheddar soup was thick and flavorful, which could also describe the waitresses and their friendly personalities. When it comes to entertainment, I appreciate the diversity of sports that were playing on the multiple flatscreen T. V's. My server, Alyssa, went above and beyond my expectations. She held great conversation and made sure my glass was never empty! The definition of "service with a smile". I couldnt ask for a better dining experience. 5/5 would reccomend Moxies@Polo to friends/family

Staff are very attentive and polite. Food is ALWAYS amazing. 4 stars because the Bellini they served me was $5.50 and it was literally half a cup of straight slush, peach flavour and rum.

Over rated. Food did not come to the table hot. Service was sporadic. No beverage refills. We had reservations for a group of 14. They knew we were coming. Poor service.

Went here for birthday dinner with my friends one night. The place was pretty nice, and the food tasted decent, but the portions were tiny. I had a steak, payed more the bigger size, and even then it was still so small. $30 for a tiny steak like that!? I mean it tasted good but dang it was tiny.

Sometimes I find myself going to places I don't even understand why, I go out for walks and I end up in a restaurant and this is what happened I don't know why

Unfortunately this Moxie's failed to meet expectations. I had higher Hope's and brought a coworker who joined mased on my recommendation. I had chicken and ribs, calamari and ice tea.my bill with an 18% tip topped 62 dollars. Considering the ribs were not fall off the bone the price didnt seem worth it. The table service was very good but over all not good value.

Haven't been to a moxies restaurant in a long time. My boyfriend and I decided to try the one at Polo Park. The inside was very nice and staff very friendly and always checking on you.
I ordered a chicken sandwich which comes on a big bun with a nice size piece of chicken and loaded with Cole slaw. I also had French fries, but you can choose other sides. It was really good, quite filling and I would order it again.
Over all it was an enjoyable place to spend lunch and I would definitely go back again.

Went to Moxie's for dinner on a kids birthday. We were seated quickly and our server Ryan was very prompt and courteous. I had the Salmon entree, and we also had the cheese broccoli soup, lettuce wraps, and a couple other things. It was all prepared deliciously.

Great food, very nice inside and clean. Great place for a business meeting lunch or a dinner / date. Nice environment.

The food is always amazing here. My tastebuds are always blowing up. The staff is always great. This time I had the shrimp Fettuccini dish and it fed 2 people. No complaints here.

Used to be uncomfortable coming to moxies now it’s one of our go to. Always great experience with servers even the ones in training. Had the Vindaloo dish with protein substitute & i loved it. Juicy & flavourful. Make sure you leave room for dessert, theirs is the best
