Pav and Arsh did a wonderful job doing oil change and checking of our tires. They also kept us entertained as they did their job.

Service is ok. Been getting oil change service from mr. Lube for the past couple of years.

I had a really good experience during my recent oil change. It was my first visit to this location and my car was overdue for oil. Truth be told, my poor engine likely needs all manner of fancy flushes and maintenance. The crew member Terry was excellent in explaining the situation, and was understanding when I mentioned that my finances wouldn't allow for the full treatment. He got my car the service it needed and did his best with what I had to work with.
It's incredibly rare (and fantastic) to experience a business helping someone down on their luck financially. Thanks Terry! Thanks Mr. Lube McPhillips.

Matthew the shop manager has superb customer service. He was honest and helpful in multiple ways. Highly recommend this shop for what your car needs. Tired and oil!

The service was as expected.

However, the engine oil my car received was different than the recommended one from my vehicle. I asked the tech and he said it's only viscosity, but that doesn't really provide much information for me, as a customer, to see why they chose a different oil quality.

Just that alone, makes it hard for me to go back to this location.

The techs also didn't do a proper and indepth courtesy check, compared to other Mr. Lube locations I've been to in the city.

So it's hard to recommend this location to anyone in the future.

Updated: after talking with the store manager and have came to a resolution to my service complaint. He had performed the oil change (on warranty) himself. Thank you Matt for taking customer feedback so seriously and doing the oil change service that meets the service level the business has set for themselves.

The nicest team of people. The big supervisor with the big black beard was extremely helpful to us and even threw in some free stuff when we said we needed something but didn't have the extra cash.

Everything here is great however there is one thing I want to bring into your notice that you ask all of your employees to take care of the customer vehicles. I have attached a photo of the engine bay where you can see the oil spilled everywhere which is not acceptable. Please ask your employees to clean it, moreover a few of the nut/bolts are missing for the cover plate underneath the engine which they remove before taking the filter out. I hope you gonna work with your employees and will be at the top of the service in future. Good luck. There is two photos showing you the difference before and after oil change service.

Staff were friendly but the engine flush is a scam. They just pour kleen flo in the oil and don't do a proper cleaning, such as spray product in vacuum line. The kleen flo is way overpriced, paid $60 plus tax on $20 of product at retail cost.

I usually do my own oil changes but I decided to stop by Mr lube because of the convenience. First, I asked for a standard oil and not synthetic but the technician said they only carry synthetic. I assumed it was because of my vehicle. Next was the $70 engine flush treatment which I kinda felt pressured in getting, I would have hoped for a curtesy suggestion instead. I spent $200 on my visit which was $100 more than I expected. I get they’re sales people and try to sell but overall, I didn’t feel completely satisfied with my visit.

It was an overall fun and quick experience! Christian was so sweet and funny. He gave my boyfriend a flower made of tissue paper so he can give it to me as a cute Christmas gift! It was a great and overall professional experience! We will definitely be coming back here for future oil changes:)

We visited mr lube (McPhillps) and get good service from this location. And want to Specially thanks to Avi for his helping hands.

We came to get our tires changed for winter. Union coming we were told its 59.99 for the tyres change when we arrived they told us its a 45 minute wait. Now three hours later we are finally in the garage and the guy just told us it will be 149.99! When we explained we were told something else they said they couldnt do anything for us. Horrible service and not customer caring at all

Went here today to have my tires checked as my sensor keeps on turning on. Abhi checked the tires and put them on all at the same pressure. Free of charge. I never heard of anything free these days. Kudos to Abhi, thank you very much.

Oil change was quick and smooth.

Was misquoted for other services though. I would try and call in prior to get pricing

I was told just over an hour wait to put on my winter tires. I didn’t even get into the bay for 2.5 hours. All the cars were lined up and boxed in. We could not get out. At this point I said no oil change. I was told my 2 year old tires were old and brittle. The final cost was significantly more than going to the dealership.

Recently visited for a tire replacement after noticing a small leak coming from a puncture near the bead. Staff stated they had a replacement tire. They then realized it was a different size and immediately attempted to sell an entire set of tires. This is ridiculous, considering the current tires were less than a year old. Why would we replace an entire set because they failed to have the correct size to match the rest. The fear mongering and force selling here seems to be their mode of operation. I wouldn't trust these guys at all. A trip to Kal‐tire had us sorted in less than an hour, with honest and professional service.

Called got quoted a 59.99 tire change over cause they were on rims specifically asked if that was it.drove here once I got here was told it was 45 mins wait I was like cool after 3 plus hours of waiting for
them to tell me it's 150.

Dont go their they charge you extra
i went last week their and they charge much for adding kleenflo oil treatment with oil change they charge me $29.99 which is just $8.88 at canadian tire.go check price i am adding receipt also.

All they did was try and sell me on extra services my vehicle didn't need and talk about my tires, trying to sell me new tires. $200 for a synthetic oil change too is absolutely ridiculous. Will never go back.

Excactly the kind of guys they show in cbc marketplace. Their technicians will try to sell things you dont even need. Using all the scare tactics. Stay away from this place, specially if you dont know enough about cars.

It's all about the up sale here. My daughter went here, and they talked her into spending a couple hundred dollars more. She doesn't know anything about cars, and they take advantage of that.

The customer service was poor to answering the inquiries and they not act as professional, also not polite to respond to the customer question like I'm asking how much the oil change, and the guy was respond, he was not mathematicians to answering the total of costs including the tax.

Went in to get a basic oil change but I ended up having a major oil leak that was not able to be fixed in their shop. Victor was helping me and was very friendly and professional. He helped explain what was going on with my car and provided options and suggestions. Victor was so kind and considerate, he went above and beyond to make sure I was able to get my car to a mechanic as soon as possible.
Couldn't have asked for better service!

Had to wait for 30 mins just to get in when the other two lanes had almost two sets of cars go thur before i even got in.no 10 minute oil change like they advertise

CONTINUATION OF REVIEW:
When my mom called to advocate for me (she is the registered owner of the vehicle), the manager was *incredibly* hostile, defensive and rude and would not let my mom explain; talking over her and invalidating any concerns. He said " it is IMPOSSIBLE" that my car could have run as long as it did, with an improperly installed engine filter. However, when we called KalTire among other businesses who do engine air filter replacements, they said it could drive for a long while; so long as the roads weren't filled with debris. Also, the manager accused my mother and I of lying, saying "someone must have messed with the engine filter between the oil change and now" and thoughtfully added "my kids don't always tell me the truth". First of all, I am either parked in a locked garage or in the parking lot of the Victoria Hospital where I work. Second of all, I never open the hood of my car. Never. I asked my friends "Do I look like the kind of girl who opens the hood of her car? " and they all laughed in a resounding "NO". Hence why these guys at Mr. Lube were able to take advantage of me in the first place. The manager then suggested that some passer-by must have messed with it. Right. So a random stranger somehow got my car open without the keys, popped the hood, messed with the engine air filter and then closed the hood and walked away. THAT my friends, is impossible. These guys are lucky I am not suing them in small claims court. Mr. Lube refused to compensate for the cost of towing and having my car inspected. The case has been escalated and I hope I am able to be compensated in some way for something that happened clearly due to their error. I need other customers to know that these guys are superficially charming but completely manipulative so do not be fooled. The ONLY reason for any positive reviews of this place is because they pressure you into leaving a review in front of them, while you are still there in your car. Even before you've paid. It is also possible that they are somehow able to delete negative reviews. Luckily, no accidents were caused and I was not injured, but let me tell you it is scary to have your car stop while in drive on a green light on Kenaston in the middle of traffic. The least they could have done is been sympathetic and say "it's rare and unusual, but it is possible that my guys did not install properly". My car does not feel the same and it likely has damage that will be noticable in the coming weeks. Tell everyone you know to avoid this Mr. Lube because of my review! Because they did nothing to empathize or compensate for what could have been a disastrous situation, it is not safe for them to serve the public. Thank you all for taking the time to read/listen. They are distracted boys. Do NOT let them touch your car.

Heard the staff and the manager swearing to a customer who was having a hard time positioning the car on the bay. The driver was a novice driver as I noticed the sign on the back of the car. The staff did not provide the service to the customer. Thats just bad customer service. Wont go here next time I need an oil change.

Fast n' easy. Matt D was training a new guy on our car, was very thorough and safety focused, as a fellow shop labourer that was good to see. He even showed me a couple service tricks that I didn't even think about.

Do NOT go to McPhillips Mr. Lube. These guys are snake oil salesmen. Before I begin to describe one of the worst customer service experiences of my life, please know that I almost never leave reviews, let alone negative ones. I figured this is important enough because of safety reasons so PLEASE pay attention to this post. Here it goes: I had gone for an oil change and a tire swap April 30th and was charged nearly 350 dollars from up-sells, without any quote ahead of time (it was just after closing hours so there was no time to negotiate). Pulkit said to me "I'll give you 20 dollars off a new engine air filter, look how dirty your old one is! ". So I said "okay, I guess? ". It cost me 30 dollars which I discovered is not a bargain, as many of you probably know. The guys were joking around and laughing, looking forward to their weekend so I let it go and tried to move on from how much I was charged for the whole ordeal. It was not a pleasant experience. I felt like I was interrupting some kind of boys club. Now, just a couple of days ago on Thursday, June 17, I was driving down Kenaston (with cars travelling 80 km/hr) and my car suddenly started jerking and slowing to a stop and stalled in the middle of traffic. People had to slam on their breaks, honking. It was chaos. I had no idea what to do because my car had never done that before. I had to call a towing company to take my car to Academy Road Service for diagnostics. As you can see from the images I have uploaded, the cause for stalling was an INCORRECTLY INSTALLED ENGINE AIR FILTER. Okay, so. You'd think that Mr. Lube would be apologetic and/or horrified that their "guys" didn't install my new engine filter properly (which they pressured me into buying in the first place). It was the end of their shift and they were joking around and whatever so it likely was neglected out of distraction while doing the "engine flush" among other things that are unnecessary and costly. It was my first time getting an oil change for my car. Christian made the process super easy and answered any questions I had. Personally I am not a car person at all, he made things easy to understand and explained it well. Will definitely come back to get my oil changed when the time comes! Thank you

Not a good experience. Went for an oil change. They tried to sell me everything under the moon saying my car will explode if its not done. Asked another mechanic for a second opinion after our visit and they found no issues. Just a scam to make quota. When I was sitting in the car waiting for the oil change everyone disappeared and I noticed they all left to have something to eat. I've learned my lesson and will just wait for a mechanic I can trust to be available for my services. The good reviews have me shocked because I came here because of them and i was totally wrong. DO NOT GO HERE!

Got my oil changed today at this location, Francis was very personable, offered us french vanilla and Coffee which was a nice touch for the wait. Very thorough! Also offered us a 2nd drink on the way out!

We always come to THIS location. The guys are always friendly, and the service is great.
Checking and filling all your fluid levels, making sure your car is running well, they always treat you and your vehicle with respect. We also always appreciate Matt's (the one with the big beard) slightly cheesy sense of humor.and Devon is a great service tech!

Great friendly staff.got tires swapped, oil changed and engine flushed. Nissan I would have to wait another week just to do the same work. Definitely will go here again.

This place just rips you off if you don't know any better. Went in for an oil change and tire swap. Literally something that should probably cost about 90 maybe 100$. Maybe a little more if we're being generous. Cost 277$, and waited about 2: 30 hours to get it done and I was the first car waiting.
They made up something about how my car was out of alignment, but I have a friend who is a mechanic who I actually trust and he said it's all fine. He has always been right.
Never going back, wouldn't recommend Mr. Lube ever, don't appreciate being told to spend more money on something I definitely don't need. They can argue about the cost all they want, but I'll just do it myself next time because it will be faster, a better job, and won't have a bunch of hidden "special" stuff they did that makes it cost more.

This is where I always come for my tires and oil change. Great service. Staff are always nice. Matt helps with any problems or questions I have about my car. Thanks guys.
