Mr. Lube + Tires

I came from Mr. Lube today feeling like I was taken advantage of. I spent way too much money just for an oil change. The guys were very nice but they kept pushing me to get new replacements on things when all I wanted was an oil change. I won't go back again. I feel like Mr.lube just took all my money.
-Disappointed customers.

Very pushy when it comes to tires. My tires are nearing end of life and I had to say no to 3 seperate people.one requiring an explanation as to why I won't buy tires from them. I've been using this place for a decade for my oil changes and you're probably losing my business going forward because you wanted to sell me tires so badly.
Your employees don't require me to explain what I'm doing for my tire situation and I had to lie to the guy about a ridiculous deal on tires I was getting for him to leave me alone about it.
I appreciate being told they are almost done and to be changed asap, but no is no. Communicate amongst each other, "customer is aware of tires life, said no to replacing today". Instead i felt harrassed and really annoyed.

I got the oil change last week and the pushiness of the employees have left a bad taste in my mouth which is why you get this review now.

Very rude, called before showing up asking about 1 tire being put on the rim. They said it would cost $50 and that this was something they could do. When I showed up they said that it was going to be almost $200 and told me I could take up to an hour and half

Great service. Fast and the Managers in the store are friendly and knowledgeable. All staff friendly. Offering drinks and they do the oil change and all checks very fast and high quality.

Hey Mr Lube thanks for the great job fone here on nairn i had to have an emergency oil change and tire swap done and they helped me right away the boys welcomed me in and had super customer service Steve helped me to choose a great tire he is always very knowledgeable and answers any questions i have, Jon and Brin were quick and I could tell both had great workmanship I've been coming here for a few years now and will continue to do so thanks Brin, Steve and John keep up the solid work

Excellent customer service and fair pricing. I’ve always used Mr. Lube on Narin for services & oil changes and I’ve never been disappointed. Steve is an excellent manger and ensures customer satisfaction each time. Highly recommend this Mr. Lube for your vehicle needs.

My last visit to Mr.lube 1076 Nairn avenue, was not a good choice for me. I have done my car oil change. Manager over there told me that my car’s serpentine belt is not in good condition and offer me new one for $180 including installation. Further one of guy name ritvik offer new wiper including this of $30. So in total serpentine belt cost me $150. In order to clarify price i cross check on internet and belt only cost me $30, $40 and check from competitors as well they cost me $100,110 including installation. It seems i looted from there. I will never recommend to my friends to visit Mr.lube

I visited the Mr. Lube on Nairn Ave this past Sunday and felt completely disappointed with my experience. I went to get my winter tires removed and summer tires installed. I have both sets on rims to make things easier. My friend had mentioned Mr. Lube does tire changes and I was quite pleased as I typically have to make an appointment at a different place and it is not convenient for my schedule. The workers were friendly and informed me of the pricing immediately. I am always skeptical of this place because they try to sell hard and it makes me uncomfortable because I do not know a lot about cars. I agreed to the price but he mentioned if the tires needed to be balanced it would cost $149.99. Of course awhile later he comes back and says they need to be balanced. I have been getting my tires changed over for several years and never have had anyone mention this to me or had to pay for this but I agreed as I do not want to drive unsafe and the worker stated it would be unsafe to leave them unbalanced. Another worker then came over and told me both of my sets of tires need replacing. He said they are starting to crack and worn down. He measured them but I know nothing about this so I can’t tell the difference. He explained the MPI deal where you can get all weather tires and pay monthly etc etc. I had already spoke to my other tire place I usually go to about my tires and know I have several seasons left on them so I just listened and said I would like to wait. The worker said that was ok and it was my decision but then proceeded to tell me I could sell my current 2 sets of tires on kijiji and make money because people usually don’t check how much tread is left. He said I could do the MPI program and then just put the profit in the bank that I would make off of selling my current tires that, according to him, are cracked and worn down and unsafe. I find this a bit unethical of a suggestion to be honest and I was polite and just declined his persistent offer of selling me new tires. He told me I would have to sign a waiver if I wanted to leave my current tires on as they would be held liable if anything happened. I said I would sign it. He never gave me anything to sign at all. Did it exist? Why would I sell supposedly unsafe tires to someone on kijiji? I am even more skeptical of Mr. Lube then I was before. And spent $149.99 when I could have spent half that at my usual place I go. It was not worth it at all. Saying anything to make a sale is unethical and downright poor business practice. Shame on you Mr. Lube on Nairn.

Very disappointed with the quality of service was my truck's second oil change and they spilled oil everywhere no attempt to wipe it up and couldn't put the air filter box together properly.

Came here for a last minute oil change.
It went by so quickly I couldn’t believe they were done.
Emailed me my receipt which is great for record purposes.
No wait time.

This was the easiest experience I had. Super quick. Had all new tires within 30 minutes. The workers gave me options and were listening to what I was leaning towards. Super friendly staff, and highly recommended place.

Rip Off! Called them to have the quote of all weather tires. Got the exactly same brand tires from another store way cheaper. If you are in business of selling tires, be competitive. Was a old customer of them but now I think I have to change my mind.

I needed an oil change and new wiper blades. I received a coupon in the mail that said free wiper blades with an oil change. So I thought this was perfect.
However, I did feel pressure on the up- selling! I was given the list of things I needed to do on my car. I said no- then the employee can back to me and said they could reduce the cost on one of the items and it was “very bad” condition I needed to do it. So I reluctantly said yes.
Then they did not have my wipers- I drive a Subaru- so they recommended I needed to go to the dealership and get the clips, said the dealership would probably charge me $120 dollars.
I was upset because now I had to go to a second location and the job was not done. I did not get the wipers replaced. I requested they take the $40 dollars off my bill since they couldn’t provide me with the wiper blades. They did take off $10.
I went to my dealership for the blades- they cost me $56 and were incredibly easy to install. No clips needed.
Overall this experience left me frustrated and taken advantage of. I will not be returning.

We just had our oil change done. Both Meetpal and Rutvik were absolutely fantastic! Super knowledgable and explained everything. We couldn't be happier and are looking forward to going back. Great job, boys!

After waiting for 50 minutes they had me back out of the lineup so a vehicle that just pulled up could enter the bay for service. Second and last time for this place.

Excellent service! I needed an oil change on a Sunday morning and they were the only ones open (8am). They were well staffed and the service was quick and thorough.what impressed me most is as how lively the technicians were. I was attended to by Steve and Rutvik. My vehicle was a mess a they provided me with economical options. They do the MPI tire financing program as well. And the plus side I got a free oil change, air filter and wiper blades when I got new tires.

Been two years and Im still happy with my previous review. Ppl here are always nice.

Went here after a problem last time at the same location with service. Technician who help was great. I forgot his name but he made me want to go there again even after I swore that was the last time.

We came to mr lube with a suspected air leak in one of our tires, they found a small nail and luckily was easily repairable.they fixed it for us free of charge! Made our day! Super happy with the service, we usually come here for oil changes as well and always great fast service always. Also even topped up our washer fluid free of charge! I highly recommend this mr lube for any minor car or tire issues, and you get to stay in your car!

I love the fact that they can service your car right away. Prices is not bad for the service and people working here are very nice, professional and they answer all your questions right away. THIS IS GOING TO BE BY GO TO SERVICE SHOP.whenever my car needs immediate attention.

They were so kind to damage my car today, then try and pretend like it didn’t happen, didn’t give any information so I can go get it fixed, they act like the driver isn’t sitting right there watching… and then handed me a bill for there service.

I’ve been taking my car here for a number of years and have always received prompt, courteous and professional service. The techs are knowledgeable and are able to determine work needed that visit, next visit or to monitor. They take care of oil changes, seasonal tire changes and tires. I am happy with the service I receive and will continue to bring my car here.

Very friendly staff. Quick at doing whatever it is that you need that you've requested. Definitely recommend them. I have officially made them now my permanent mechanics.

I went there to change my oil filter as I did not have the tool to open today, the guys were nice and very friendly. They replaced for me, checked the oil too. I know I did not do a full oil change, but I will do that with them next time. Their place is clean and well organized. Well done Staff! I review this place very good.

If I could give negative stars I would! Treat women as if we don’t know anything, then sold me the wrong tires, I tell them, and they charged me 25% restocking fee fir their f-up, for tires that weren’t even put on a rim or on the car! This place is a joke!

On Saturday, March 20 I went in for an oil change and ended up talking about the MPI tire program. I thought I was getting a good deal on tires! Nope! The price I was quoted I believed was for a full set of 4, based on how the salesman Terry explained it to me I believed I was buying 4 tires, not the case! I asked for a total for everything a couple times and he kept quoting the price. Which actually was the price for one tire. I’ve never bought tires before so I had no idea what to expect for cost. I became aware of the total cost when I glanced up at the POS screen.after everything was rang in and paperwork signed that the price was over four times what he quoted. Apparently there are fees and loan charges too. I repeated the price to him on the screen in shock. The salesperson Terry commented “oh you thought that was for four tires? If we gave a deal like that we’d have people lined up down the street”. I left believing I had been taken advantage of and ripped off. Later that evening I reviewed the paperwork noticed the 25% charge for cancelling. That’s the area I was told to initial, never once was I explained about the cancellation process. And if you’re initialing an area about cancellation you would think that for the sake of good business and transparency this would be explained throughly right? I called in the morning on Sunday, March 21 and spoke to the “manager on duty” and he was told I couldn’t cancel and the tires were being transferred from their warehouse. I told him I was never advised of the 25% fee to cancel when I was talking about tires, it was never explained to me! He responded “it’s in the paperwork” No transparency! I called and spoke to the manager on Monday, March 22 and told him his salesperson was not thorough or transparent in explaining everything to me. I stated I wanted to cancel the tires and explained had I known what I know now I would never have agreed to this arrangement. He said he would work something out with me. Today, Thursday, March 25 I receive paperwork from an insurance broker with a payment schedule for MPI. How do you proceed with paperwork? Especially when 1. I don’t have new tires and 2. I expressed that I want to cancel. I have been a loyal customer with Mr Lube for 20 years now! You have lost me as a customer! To any customer reading this - Do not talk to these guys about tires! You will be sorry you did!

Go here if you want a quick oil change. If you want anything else, don't go here. I've been waiting 4 weeks for actual windshield wiper blades that fit my car. Every time I try and call to see when the parts will be in, either the line is busy or I get pass on to someone else. No one wants to take responsibility.

Went for an oil change and mechanics noticed I needed a new belt. Swapped it out quickly and effectually. Terry’s customer service was lovely.

Went to get my tire repair and was told my tires needed to be replaced because they were too old and no longer safe. I've never heard of that in my life so I left and took my vechicle to my dealership and they told me my tires were fine no issues at all besides the screw. I WILL NEVER BE BACK

Terry was super helpful in topping off all fluids, cleaning my windshield and even adding on a zip tie to my loose bumper. Great service.

I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone. My first visit here they filled the oil before installing the drain plug, luckily it was caught before starting the vehicle. Next visit they quoted me for a transfer case service and ATF change, only to increase the price once the work was started as a junior employee forgot to add some fluids to the total. My latest and last visit they quoted me for a battery over the phone only to magically increase the price $80 once I showed up. So I went to Manitoba Battery on Logan and changed the thing out myself.

Ishu from the Nairn location did a great job with my vehicle. I do not know a lot about vehicle maintenance, but he made the process very straightforward for me. I did not feel as if I was getting ripped off, which happens to me often. With Ishu I knew exactly what I was getting and why. Highly recommend visiting Ishu at Mr Lube on Nairn.

Service for me was okay. Besides them spraying antifreeze all over the guy next to me engine and giving him half price. I would of liked a deal for spending $360.00 Plus I just had this vehicle safetied and had a leak in the tire. They tried selling me 4 new tired for $1700 when I was told I didn't need them and paid $30 to just get it plugged and works great.

Service was excellent! Very transparent with everything and they still found additional coupons I could use. Ask for Ishu!

30 minutes with Terry running around wasting time. The constant upsell here of stuff you don't need. Go to superlube. Faster and more professional

Very friendly and professional service. The gentleman helping me out was very nice and didn’t make me feel like an idiot for driving on a nearly flat tire.

After a 5 minute wait for a bay to open, I drove in & was greeted by Terry. He was patient, thorough, and made every effort to address my needs and make appropriate recommendations. In terms of customer service, Terry went over and above what would be typical during a standard oil change. The pricing is slightly higher than at other shops, but if you want good service with no appointment necessary, then this is a great option.

Started my day with flat Sunday morning in -30 weather. Changed into the spare and took it in to get repaired. Met Terry when I got to the Nairn location who repaired my flat, the job was done efficiently.

I think they deserve 5 stars! I went to have the pressure in my new tires checked. Which I bought from them. This was the second visit and so they removed the tire found a construction screw in the tire. They repaired and took such good care of me. It is the only place I go for my maintenance they take excellent care and they always do the job with a smile. I am so grateful for the work they did.
