When I found out the bridal shop that I purchased my wedding gown was unable to provide my alterations, I was in a panic. I called Nile Bridal and Alterations and they were able to fit me (and my Mom's dress) in on short notice. They provided such excellent service and were exceptionally kind in helping me out of a pickle! I would highly suggest them to anyone looking for dress alterations :)

The ladies at Nile bridal are absolutely amazing. I had a handful of alterations that needed to be done and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Would highly recommend! I needed last minute alterations on my bridesmaid dress and they fit me in the day after I called and had my dress perfect and ready to go in two business days! On top of it, they charged me less than I have ever been charged to have a dress hemmed. Very accommodating; I will be using their services again for sure!

I wouldn’t trust anyone else with a gown as important as a wedding dress. I’ve had other formal dresses altered and the quality in your work is amazing. My grandmother was a seamstress and designed & sewed wedding gowns. While I don’t sew I can tell when corners are being cut with alterations, you do the work properly as it should be done.

Well done alterations, lovely woman running the business, she made me feel like a princess. The work they did was phenomenal with great attention to detail.

This place is 5 stars for a reason! Nile Bridal took on my dress after another seamstress ruined it 10 DAYS before my wedding and they surely did not disappoint. They were able to take it in, sew in a bra, fix my straps & make my sweetheart neckline more modest IN A WEEK and it turned out AMAZING. I bought my dress at the end of 2019 and then Covid hit, the woman who I bought it from told me for 2 years she would do my alterations, well fast forward to a month and a half ago when I need the alterations done, she was no where to be found. I posted in a wedding group about needing alterations done right now and someone mentioned Nile Bridal, I thought why not, everyone else was turning me down.called the next day and she fit me in. Sue did a great job on my bridesmaid dress and it only took one fitting. Sue was honest about what the alteration options were and what she thought would look good and what wouldn’t. I appreciated she wanted to make the dress fit my body while preserving the original style of the dress (which was made for someone with a longer torso!). She did a wonderful job and I’d go see her again.

Sue is so talented and has an incredible attention to detail! I was so lucky to get squeezed into her busy schedule as I had a pretty complicated wedding dress alteration. She took her time giving some options on how to alter the dress and made sure I was comfortable with everything. She wants you to look and feel your best!
She ended up having to carefully remove the appliqué, re-create a neckline, and remove and then re-add boning. It was no easy feat and I couldn't be happier with my wedding dress! Thank you so much Sue - you have a customer for life.

They did an excellent job from the very start. Very thorough fitting and excellent work done. I had a french bussel added, hemmed for length and a few other alterations. I would trust her completely with any dress. She also dry-cleaned my wedding dress afterwards and it looked like new! Excellent seamstress, I highly recommend her.

I had a great experience at Nile Bridal. I did only have minor alterations done (shortened straps and added a bustle), but it turned out so well! This place was half an hour drive from where I live, but it was worth going here to get my graduation dress altered. She did such a fantastic job and would always ensure that I left satisfied with my dress. My dress was really difficult to work with as it had a lot of designs and required a lot of alterations without ruining the designs. My dress looked just as beautiful as to when I bought it. I am very happy with not only my dress, but also how sweet and welcoming she was. Definitely recommend this place!

What a warm friendly environment! Upon arrival we were greeted like old friends, I had brought my wedding dress in to have the straps taken in and some cups added, the work was completed quickly and it looks fantastic! She was a little concerned that my straps were still a hair too big so she took my dress away and brought it back five minutes later with a solution in place. She even took the time to teach my bridesmaid how to properly lace my dress and had her do it a second time to make sure she had the hang of it. Add to that she allowed us to take video of her lacing me in so now we have the training and confidence to make sure I look stunning for my wedding. 10/10 I would highly recommend and will be visiting for all my future alteration needs.

I brought a bridesmaid dress to Nile Bridal and I actually didn't like the way it looked/felt after the alterations. I didn't say anything at the same as I assumed the dress couldn't be un-altered. It was still bothering me a couple days later so I emailed Nile Bridal (on a Sunday, when they're meant to be closed) and she replied immediately saying she could fix it and to bring it back the next day. She had it fixed the following day and even offered to re-alter it if I changed my mind. Also, she did an absolutely fantastic job tapering my husband's dress pants. I would definitely recommend Nile Bridal!

I can't give Nile Bridal enough praise! Sue is a highly-skilled tailor. She did very intricate work with my lace dress to perfection. She really cares as much as you do about making sure you look your best. She's kind, professional, and works quickly. Her place is clean, the lightning in the room is lovely, and she followed all covid protocols (my dress was tailored over summer 2021 for a sept wedding). She also gave me a discount on my dress cleaning after the wedding. She's worth every penny, you will leave in love with how you look!

Nile Bridal was amazing to deal with! My wedding was planned in 2 months, and the second I bought my dress I had no idea where to bring it. A couple of people suggested Nile Bridal and it was the best decision. I called to book an appointment and she squeezed me in the same week. I went in for my first appointment and she was very good at making suggestions and what the dress would look like in the end. We made the second and final appointment and day and they were all great. My dress now fits perfectly! She was even able to undo some of the mistakes from the last seamstress/dry cleaners which was even better!

I got my dress for my wedding in early June 2021 at a sample sale in 2020 that was 3 to 4 sizes too big for me (didn’t think about alterations about the time of purchase). It was a long sleeve tulle dress that needed a lot of work. Su gave me a very reasonable price!

Su was extremely professional, patient, accommodating, and kind. I loved the way my dress turned out and it was a completely different dress that fit me perfectly, but still looked like the original design (even better)! I do not doubt my decision to go with Nile Bridal for my bridal alterations at all! I admire her passion and dedication in her work. Thank you so much Su and Nile Bridal!

I took my wedding dress to Nile Bridal. Su was fantastic, and completed my alterations with such attention to detail. I had my dress taken in, and we also added new straps. She helped create a nice silhouette for me, and I felt so pretty in my dress thanks to her. Given the quality of her work, her pricing is spot on. I will recommend Nile to my friends getting married for sure.

Sue is amazing! I took my wedding dress to her, and we thought we had quite a bit of time. Until my husband and I decided to get married in 2 weeks. I called her and she was extremely accommodating and she made it work not only for myself but also for the adjustments of my husband’s suit. Everything ended up amazing! My fitting was perfect on the first try, and Sue was also very honest about what alterations could be made if I wanted to and what she would recommend. Totally recommend!

The service at nile was amazing. We went here to get my daughters grad dress hemmed. She chose a dress with a really elaborate floral design. Her dress was to wide around the chest, waste and to long. Not only did they do an incredible job at fixing my daughters dress while maintaining the pattern but she also made the straps removable and created a matching Covid mask out of the material she had previously removed. All together I loved my experience there and I would definitely return with the next dress I need hemmed

Nile Bridal and Alterations did a phenomenal job on my wedding dress! She even altered my spanx so they would fit perfectly with the dress! I was quite stressed as I bought a dress in Toronto and it had a lot of intricate beading. She is so professional and so kind - you can tell how much she cares about her clients. I highly recommend her! I would not trust anyone else with a delicate garment. 10/10!

If I could give Nile Bridal 20 stars I would. I had taken my dress for my engagement photos to another seamstress as a test run before I let someone work on my couture bridal gown. Well it was a disaster, as in I had to buy a new dress. After reading multiple amazing reviews on Nile Bridal, I booked an appointment for a quote. I had emailed Suhaiba explaining that I was feeling very anxious and worried about my wedding dress after have a terrible experience at another tailor. Suhaiba asked if it would be okay to phone me. Not only did she phone me to walk me through the process and to help calm my anxieties, but she did it after her work hours. As soon as I got to Nile Bridal for my 1st appointment I felt amazing. She is so friendly and welcoming, and she walked me through the entire process. She treated my dress with the utmost care. She noticed things on my dress that weren’t right (from the manufacturer) and said I’m going to fix this and this, and explained how she could fix certain things (If I decided to). She was also very honest, and when I asked about certain things told me she could do them if I really wanted, but wouldn’t recommend them. Her knowledge and talent is undeniable, her care and love for her work and clients is undeniable. My alterations were worth every single penny, and I now have my go to lady for any future alterations. I just picked up my wedding dress from Nile today. The alterations were done perfectly. Because of the stores being closed for so long, I had to wait to order a proper bra for under my dress. She was so accommodating, getting my dress altered in a short time frame. She went above and beyond making sure my dress fit exactly how I wanted, and didn’t let me leave with the dress until she was satisfied I was 100% happy. I would highly recommend.

I discovered Suh on a wedding review site and am so happy I went here! I had a bridesmaid dress that needed taken in along with cups put in. I was hesitant to add the cups- but Suh was very patient with me until I went with her advice and I'm so happy I did, the dress looks great! I met Suhaiba at the 2018 Wedding Show. I was inquiring as to whether or not she could remake a dress that belonged to my mother. My plan was to wear this dress for my daughter's wedding. I made an appointment and she literally pinned every seam and made suggestions for updating the dress. She completely remade the dress, with beautiful work and care. I was very impressed with her abilities to fit the dress to my shape. A month or so after, I also had her take up the slack in some straps and add darts to a knit sundress. These were her suggestions and they absolutely made the difference in how this dress fit after her alterations. My daughter chose a second-hand veil from Suhaiba which was a fraction of the cost of a very similar one in a bridal retail store. I definitely recommend her.

To say that Suhaiba was like a fairy godmother to me would be un understatement. But first let me give you some context on how i found her. I had a terrible encounter with a seamstress who destroyed my dress with about 6 weeks left till my wedding date. She was clearly not as qualified as she had claimed to be. I had done my homework looked at photos asked all the questions i needed to ask but apparently i was not thorough enough. I guess i should have known when she came with no pins or tape or anything to take measurements, and the encounter took all of 5 minutes before she whisked my dress away assuring me that she would make sure that it would be perfect. I had not heard from her in a month and checked back in and she assured me it would be fine. 6 weeks to wedding day.we met again for final alterations and it did not fit, she informs me that she cut too much off and could not fix it, she then accused me of gaining weight and it was my fault even though i had actaully tracked my weight loss and inches and the dress should have actually needed to be taken in PLUS it was a lace up back.shock, anger, sadness, rage, im not sure how many emotions i went through that day.

I was up all night and honestly it was like God heard my prayers and Suhaiba's page popped up on my feed and i thought why not, ive literally got nothing to loose at this point, every other seamstress had written it off and told me to purchase a new dress, even the bridal store where i purchased it. I called her and explained my situation and she calmly assured my that it could be salvaged.

I went over the next day with my dress, and the kindest, woman met me at the door and ushered me into her studio, she sat me down and listened to me tearfully explain my situation and anger towards the first seamstress. She told me that everything has a solution, and as long as i was patient and able to let go of my resentment beautiful things can happen. 2 hours we spent going over the ways to alter it she pinned and pinned and folded and bustled, and she gave me the peace of mind i needed to know it would be ok.

Over the next couple of weeks we met, she pinned, stood back, pinned, and asked me how i felt about every snip, pin, and bustle, all the while building my self confidence, the day before my wedding i went back to get my dress and when i put it on i felt tears rush to my eyes, she had completely transformed my dress into something better than the original prior to the massacre. It fit me like a glove.

She not only transformed my dress but my heart, her gentle spirit reminded me that there are incredible people on this earth, earth angels that show us the good in people.

I am so thankful to have found NILE BRIDAL ALTERATIONS in Winnipeg. Suhaiba is one talented artist who not only connected me with an amazing dress maker (and beadwork artist) CATHY WEIBE, but also helped to do my final fitting of my gorgeous dress to make it perfect for me!

She has also fitted many of my other favourite dresses to my body as I lost weight for the wedding!

I 100% recommend Sue from Nile Bridal & Alterations! I brought my wedding dress to her for alterations and my dress is now PERFECT. My MOH and I went to Nilce Alterstions to have our dresses altered and had a fantastic experience! They are all so warm, kind and welcoming! Especially the owner! What a nice lady! She really went above and beyond to make this a one of a kind experience! I felt like a friend as soon as I walked in, even getting a hig when I went to pick up the dresses.:) she went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience, such as suggesting I put on my accessories to get the full bridal effect (which meant a lot to me) and helping and giving pointers to my MOH on my corset back dress to make her life easier the day of! And when my MOH's dress needed more altering (she had lost weight since the last fitting) she made sure it was perfect! Such quality work, for an amazing price! My dress fits like a glove and I know the beading on the bodice added a lot more work, but it looked better than before, after alterations! They even fixed a bead they noticed was lose when I tried it on again after alterations when I wen TV to try it on and pick it up! And my MOH loves her dress as well! In my opinion, Nile Alterations is BY FAR the BEST place for alterations in Winnipeg!
