We contracted North 49 to convert our wood fireplace to gas. After getting estimates from several companies, North 49's was very competitive and we were happy with our interactions with them during the process. Nathan came out to do the estimate and was directly involved in all of the work in the house. This consistency is a major part of why we're happy we chose this company.

There were a few more complications than anyone expected when completing the job but everyone was fantastic during the process. Administrative staff kept us informed and were always pleasant to chat with. Nathan and the crew that came out were incredibly professional and went above and beyond to make sure that the fireplace met their (and my partner's) very high standards.

I would recommend the company wholeheartedly and we'll be turning to them for maintenance of the fireplace, as well as air conditioner and furnace from now on.

We just had 49 North do a furnace cleaning and inspection this past week. The technician was a nice young fellow who did a great job and totally explained what he was doing.also i would like to note the price was excellent as they gave us a 20$ break on the bill. Prompt, friendly, and very knowledgeable service. It was my first time owning a house with this type of furnace and tech explained how it worked with patience. Much appreciated.we have recently had a gas fireplace insert installed also. The installers were considerate and spread drop sheets to protect the floor and did a good job of cleaning the the work area. They made sure everything was working properly and took the time to explain everything that needed to be done to maintain and use the appliance. We are very pleased with their services.

Called this morning wanting a service call for my gas fireplace stove which is the primary source of heat in our sunroom. I was told by the woman that answered the phone that gas fireplaces are not a priority because they're not the main source of heat and I would have to wait 3 weeks. I repeated myself that this IS the main source and is on a separate line then the main house. She wouldn't hear of it and said "I suggest you call another place, like Mb Hydro". Really? ! Thanks for your "permission". Your helpfulness is laughable
