Original Joe's

Honestly, a disappointing experience from start to finish. I made a reservation for 7 people days in advance, yet we were seated at the end of another group's table as if we were an unexpected group of people that they didn't know what to do with. We had consistent 20-30 minute long waits between seeing our server, and over an hour long wait for food, and still, someone's entire meal was forgotten, then later served cold, and another friend's food was too solid to eat. Friends of mine ordered drinks which never arrived, they then reminded the server who assured them they were coming, and still they never came. When our bills came later, the server then asked if they were still wanting the drinks, they replied no, and no apology was given, despite having not been served their drinks after over an hour since having asked. On top of this, we had to flag down servers because no one would come to check on our table, we had to ask for cutlery because none was provided, and a friend of mine was left sitting with her bill after the server left for more paper and never came back. These are just the highlights. The food likely would have been good had it been served within a reasonable time frame, however we saw at least 4 servers working with no sense of urgency, some going on their phones or chatting behind the bar as we sat unserved and not checked on for unreasonably long amounts of time. Thank you for having us, we won't be back though:)

I have sat inside OJ's before and the experience was alright. I ordered a full size Tomato Bacon Soup for delivery and this is what arrived. Quite disappointed for $9.75. Also not sure if it is supposed to come with garlic bread or not, SKIP says it should and the website says it doesn't. Unfortunately this was a miss

Went to Original Joe's for my birthday with my wife. Although seated quickly, the service to say it nicely was a incredible letdown. Despite the restaurant being almost empty, our server Ryleigh never checked on us once after we ordered our drinks and appetizer and forgot our drinks while managing to put our order in wrong.

The real disappointment was the food. Our nachos came without the beef we'd ordered. When we pointed it out, what we assume was a manager offered to just add beef in a bowl on the side, which is kind of a bizare offer, and we refused. We asked to get it made properly and instead of giving us a fresh dish made correctly, they simply poured cold beef over our now cold nachos and sent it back out. It felt careless. We then waited for someone to come back over but that this point the experience was ruined.

We left our overpriced drinks mostly untouched, asked for the bill minus the nachos, and decided this was our last visit. For future patrons' sake, I hope the staff gets better training.

Went for lunch. My chicken fingers were over cooked, gravy was sour. I told the waitress about the gravy. Her response was its made fresh daily.
Hubby's meal looked like it was meant for a child. The burger was small and a small handful of fries to go with it.
Bill was $43.95, we gave $60 cash and the waitress gave $15.60 back. Me thinks you better invest in a calculator if you cannot figure out the correct change!

We waited for our server to get our drink order for 10 mins. Then waited for her to take our order for another 15 mins. My partner ordered an app - it never came. Someone else brought the food. Our server never came back until the bill. Service was extremely disappointing. Won’t be back.

Service wasn't very good. Had to wait for a really long time for drinks. The restaurant is quite small as well. Felt very tight.

Amazing food. Amazing staff, can always hold a conversation. Great selection of beers on tap.

“Steak sandwich” is just a steak on a soggy piece of garlic bread. Steak was overcooked and dry. Not worth the price at all. Would never go again.

I've been to this location plenty of times, always great food and service. Cristian the kitchen manager has always made it his personal mission that I receive the best quality food and service from OJ's as I've going there frequently and have become regular customer of this restaurant due to his excellence. Would highly recommended!

I really love the food here but I have never had good service. Get our food and then don't see anyone until we are waiting too leave and we always have too wait a really long time

Brought a business client with me who had never been to an Original Joe's before. Just an amazing experience. They handled his Gluten Intolerance / Celiac options with ease.

Can't get enough of this place. Have tried so much of the menu and am never disappointed. Hardest part is choosing what to have. Staff are always great as well!

Attended Sept 6/22 about 4: 30 pm - restaurant not busy. Ordered steak sandwich w/fries. Steak was under-cooked, fries were hard as rock. Waitress didn't come by to ask how our meals were - no apology, no discount. Always have had decent meals at Wpg O. J.locations- this was a disaster, would not recommend.

First time, never be back, food was cooked in very, very dirty oil. Over cooked yet, not very hot when reached the table!

Ordered on skip the dishes and order delivered without the wine ordered. Delivery driver stated this was common for Original Joe's. Do not order from here expecting a complete order.

Waited a two hours almost for an order through skip the dishes. Struggled to even get through the skip chat to receive a refund. Their phone line goes immediately to a voicemail saying it’s full. Now have to wait up to ten days for a refund on my credit card. I suggest not accepting skip orders if the business cannot produce the orders in the advertised timeline. Extremely disappointed.

Last experience through the skip-the-dishes app was horrible. We were quoted 37 minutes through the app. The Skip driver was at restaurant to pick up food 17 minutes after order was placed. Driver sat there for 30 minutes waiting for Original Joe’s to finish order (by then almost 50 minutes since order). We called restaurant itself, they said they were going to start making the order within the next ten minutes. After almost an hour and a half after initial order, we called the restaurant, they advised that they still hadn’t even begun to make the order. So, needless to say we had to call Skip-The-Dishes and cancel, and get a refund. The problem wasn’t Skip-The-Dishes… it was Original Joe’s. Probably not going to order from them anymore.

Worst delivery/takeout experience ever. Our burgers were burnt and hard like hockey pucks. The soggy fries were smothered in gravy and looked like they had been scraped off of somebody else's plate. We won't be ordering takeout from here again. We might not even try dine in at this point.

Clean, comfortable and dimly lit, accommodating and timely service. Food was great and servers were friendly.

The food was late to get to the table to begin with and then they messed up my order. The fries were cold and I had to wait an extra 10-15 minutes for the food I originally ordered but by that time I was ready to leave. Management was horrible, food was not worth the wait, and this is unfortunately not the first time this has happened here. Huge waste of my time, I do not suggest eating here and I won’t be going back.

Thick with flies. Snooty servers. Food sub-par. Small portions. Burger was burnt. Expensive! First and last time eating here.

Appreciated being able to dine in unfortunately the constant flies were bothersome HOWEVER the service & server were top notch food, pretty darn good!

Went on Canada Day. The food was ok, nothing to write home about. The cheese burger was not the best. Wouldn't order it again. The wings were over cooked and had very little sauce on them. But the nachos were really good.

Just went with my husband and mom to try and get a table on patio - Hostess said all tables were full and that it was just a matter of waiting for the tables to pay and leave. Said the wait would be about 15 to 20 mins and asked us to wait outside. We waited about 10 mins and a couple walked in as we were waiting, they were given the table we were waiting for. The hostess said, we would be given next table and we were first in line. Absolutely pathetic. If I could give restaurant 0 stars I would. It’s like 36 degrees outside and we were simply just doing as told, and our table was given away. Fix your customer service and don’t tell ppl to wait in 36 degree weather when you’re just gonna give the table to the next ppl who walk thru door.

It was OK nothing special menu has the same boring stuff every restaurant has burger fries and wings

It's a bit pricey, I the battered fish and chips. More batter than fish.
First time I've gone there

Ordered take out, kinda bad tbh. Bacon and as burned on both our burgers, and they burgers where kinda greasy. No forks knives or napkins in the bag. Honestly would have been better off going to A&W. 75$ poorly spent.

Was responded to and customer service was responsive. The review will remain however I must note they tried to fix the issue to the best of their abilities.

Ordered through Skip the Dishes. Worst calamari I've ever had. Way over cooked/fried like it went through the fryer a second time. Couldn't even eat it. Fish tacos (which I've had there before and they were great then) were nowhere near the quality of previous visits. The fish was overcooked and not at all flaky. Very disappointed in my meal.

**Unless Skip the Dishes cooked the food, not sure what they can do. I've eaten there before and always had good food and service. I will order/go back as I'm sure this was a one off but this time was not great.

I came here last night with my buddy to have a late dinner. We arrived around 930 and were greeted by a very nice lady. We sanitized our hands and took a seat on the patio. We were one of about 3 other people in the restaurant.

The waitress was very kind, very polite and informative

Our food and drinks were great. The food was super hot! I had the beef dip, and it was just absolutely delicious.

Thank you to the staff for the safe dining experience and for answering our questions about our masks. (we don't really leave Shilo much, so dining at a restaurant in Brandon was a new thing since covid hit) and thank you for being so friendly.

Small location but good atmosphere. Really good fries and onion rings. Good service. Love that you get to pick two sides and fries come with gravy with no extra charge.

Took the 500 burger is was really, but it's the poutine that standout. Im from Quebec, and it's the best one I had outside Québec.

Decent place. Some neat weekly specials. Wasnt wowed or blown away.but a nice place for food and drink.

Food was good, the A. C. E Burger is good but not fantastic. The jalapeno mac & cheese is a very small serving and is 13 dollars! My boyfriend ate half my meal plus that. The drink menu is good and the dill pickle wings and shrimp are delicious starters! Service was very good.

Came here Saturday night and was quite busy but we got in right away. Servers were very nice and the food was very good!
