Ughhh, It's Sunday of a long weekend and cannot login to my account. I have to wait until they're open on Tuesday to speak with someone so I can access it.incredibly frustrating.

Agreed that having your online access frozen after 90 days of inactivity is frustrating especially since it doesn't warn you or tell you why until you call their centre. I assume they do this for security or anti-money laundering reasons. But overall there aren't many institutions offering these rates or flexibility. The mothership, Assinaboine Credit Union, also has been accurate and responsive for us for many years. We continue to use both even though we have moved to another province.

TLDR: Choose another bank. Suspicious practices, an interface from the 1990s, and you might find your money locked up without your authorization.

Signed up for a redeemable GIC. Then they automatically rolled it over to a non-refundable locked GIC without my authorization. My money is stuck here until 2025 at 1.8% interest.

They told me they sent a letter that this would happen, but I never received it, so who knows if they lied or not.

For $10,000 you would lose $1,000 in interest (interest rates are currently at 5% for 3 years).

I suspect this is illegal, but don't have time to pursue it with the Manitoba authorities.

For prospective customers, choose another bank. Interest rates are just as good, and you won't have to deal with a website from the 1990s and the risk that something happens to your money.

I absolutely disklike this bank.lousy customer service.long wait times on the phone for help.after dealing with the lovely people at implicity, this new bank has become a nightmare.both my husband and i are closing our accounts and moving on.if you are looking for a bank, look elsewhere.

Now a days continues to offer some of the lowest GIC rates when compared to Achieva Financial or EQ Bank. Also they lockout your account after you don't log in after ninety days.
