Went in for acrylics and they turned out wonderful. The woman who did my nails was so good to me as I had just had knee surgery the day prior, she even went as far as to help me put my jacket and shoes back on and get my crutches for me. Had a great experience and would go back and recommend to others.

Went for an acrylic new set last month, did a very poor job, did not have smooth finish, did not file properly, rough edges. Was not satisfied however went for a fill yesterday to give another chance and told them they did not do a good job last time and showed them my nails, they said they will redo the whole set instead of refill.as they noticed the job was not well do last time, but instead they took 2 hrs to fill in without replacing a new set just filled it, continued using tools for 2 hrs. (to be exact.) at the end of the process she tells me the price, i told here it was not the same on the website and showed her, she said ombre is hard work for short nails, they did not do what i asked and did an awful job the first time.and overcharged for ombre nail, left the place with a banded as my finger had a cut
They are very dishonest and unprofessional. Very disappointed, I will not be going there again.

I am doing this QUITE late, but I went in last month. Was able to book a last minute appointment, they were super accommodating. I couldn't decide on what I wanted. My tech said she had a great idea and my God, was she right. They look amazing! I had had these for a month now, so there's some grow out, but this set has lasted the longest ever. Super, super happy.
I feel terribly because I can't remember her name, but she has done my nails the last few times. Very sweet, and super friendly.

Great nails done. But if i would’ve known BEFORE not AFTER the service was over that these would’ve been $160, I would’ve said no. Nails were already started being done & nail art when she decided to tell me price points. Never going back, i feel extremely over charged.

Very disappointed with my experience at polo nails, I had a rushed service and within 6 days, 3 nails completely came off. I went back to them with the nails that came off and asked for them to fix it considering the set didn’t even last a week and they said I would have to pay for them to fix it. I will never return to this location ever again. Terrible service.

I got my nails done for my birthday from Kent he was amazingly great at his job. The whole team and especially (Lin) made my day … staff was so friendly.will recommend for sure

I just did it but due to carelessness it needed to be fixed.but when I came to fix it, they were very good and didn't charge me

I went last week with my friend we both did acrylic sets and the staff was so friendly. But I didn’t find it super “clean” he pulled out a used file used it on his nail before using it on mine which I didn’t love. Same with the cuticle cutters he pulled them out and I don’t think they were sterilized made me super uncomfortable. In the end my nails were quite thick and had blobs of acrylic underneath the nail.

Not sure what is up with all the bad reviews! I have been to Polo Nails a handful of times and the service and quality they are able to provide in a timely manner and at a decent price is amazing.

I’m pretty disappointed the only reason I’m giving two stars is bc the people were really sweet and I was happy with how they initially turned out. Unfortunately it’s been about a week and a half and pretty much all of the acrylics have just popped right off no damage to my real nails almost as if they were press ons. My little sister went to get her nails done from this place about a week ago and had specifically asked for almond shaped gel nails and a milky white base polish and did not get anything close to that. It came to my attention that not only do they not care about customers satisfaction but they are AGGRESSIVE people when it comes to the cuticle work, I’m a nail tech myself and I know that the number 1 rule in the beauty business is sanitization and making sure the client is not being harmed. Terrible I do not recommend please go to a licensed nail tech that KNOWS what they’re doing, I give this set of nails about a week lol

It took me 45 minutes to get any service It was okay at first, the nails were turning okay. Although the first finger on both hands were longer than the rest of the nails. And it was so bumpy. Then a couple days after later the polish started to peel off.
Would not recommend going here.

My poor mum didnt have her glasses on so she didn't notice and came home with her shellac polish at least 3 or more mm away from her cuticles. Clearly trying to pull the wool over her eyes so she'd have to do them again sooner. And they're overpriced as all hell. Youre paying high-end prices for sub-par work. They say on their sign that an acrylic set is $55 but they'll charge you 85 when you get to the till.

This is the worst salon I have ever been to. Everytime I make a appointment they make me wait for minnimum 30 minutes. Today i had a appointment, i called and asked the price before coming. I was told 60-65 for a french fill, when I arrived I asked again, and the lady yelled at me telling because my french isnt straight it has a small curve it will be 85$. Beyond Rude, I left and went somewhere else. I would never go back here or support this business, they are awful!

I HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH A TRAMATIC EXPERIENCE AT A NAIL SHOP THEN I DID AT THIS SCAM OF A PLACE. I FIRST GOT MY EYE BROWS WAXED, THIS WAS MISTAKE #1. MY EYEBROWS ARE MISS SHAPED AND RUINED, WORST PART IS THEY ACTED LIKE THERE WAS NOT A PROBLEM WITH THEIR WORK AND BLAMED IN ON A MOLE I HAD.
#2ND Mistake is they started a manicure and did not clean hands. Cuticles ect. They glued tips on but due to me not trusting their work and crying the lady offered to stop or continue. I declined the service due the bad service I received, how could i trust them to fix it if they could not see there was a problem with their work. They gave me 2 little bowls to melt off the glue.
I was crying the whole time with my heart broken. Us women do very little for ourselves and the little we do, we should get good service.
I was told the price rises for every part of the manicure that should have been done and that every place is different for service but i say a good job is a good job any shere even if ingredients are different. I paid 35 and left while tears were rolling down my face and I then left to find help for my eye brows and nails.

The lady kicked my friend and I out because I told her the glue ons were crooked, they told us to come in because they weren’t busy, so we came in and waited an hour to be seen. Once I told the lady they were crooked she got her co-worker to come over and they started talking $hit in their language.

Extremely rude nail techs. They add outrageous fees for services that should be included in what they're already doing just to hike up your bill. They have unlicensed/certified people working there. Always speaking vietnamese in front of customers which is SO rude because you never know what or who they're talking about. NOT RECOMMEND

I never book an appointment as I’m from out of town and they always seat me in a decent amount of time. Very clean and sleek place, friendly and loving staff who remember you and compliment you, easy parking and wifi! I usually get gel nails every 3-4 weeks and very rarely have had any of them break (maybe once or twice) in the year and half I’ve been going there! I always recommend Polo Nails to anyone wanting fast, professional, relaxing and inclusive service.

If your going to polo nails for a manicure make sure to request van she does great nails. I wouldn't recommend anyone else there as I got my nails done on a Thursday and requested thicker as I normally do but she made them paper thin. When she did my nails she didn't even do them close enough to the nail bed as my nails looked like they needed a fill right after they were done. Nails were breaking with in 2 days then when I went back to have them fixed they only offered to fix the broken ones and not the others that were also on there way to break. I didn't expect a free fill i just wanted it done at a discount and they just said that's how we do them. Then I proceeded to show her how it bends and I cannot do anything without them breaking. When I came to them with this issue they made it sound like they didn't care and it my problem not theirs. It's not cheap to get your nails done by them and to have them last less than a week is not right in my opinion.

I think it’s important to start off my review by acknowledging the other reviews & the fact that this business only responds to positive reviews.
I’ve been coming here since they’ve opened and often had good experiences. The past 3 times have been terrible. It doesn’t matter whether you have an appointment or not, you always have to wait. Wait times are always wrong and go well over the expected time. They push people in & out as fast as they can.
I get acrylic nails, and keep up with them and good care. The past two times they’ve chipped or broke in less than a week. I decided to go in a third time to ask for a new set and see if they could do anything. They refused to give me a new set or compensate me in anyway. I had one nail broken and the rest were done last week. The lady doing my nails answered a phone call halfway into the appointment which I thought was incredibly rude. With just the replacement of one nail (she didn’t cut OR reshape any of the other nails as they were a perfectly good new set from the previous week) and the colour change I was charged $85.00 without any apology of the inconveniences. They will up charge you for absolutely anything and everything. A fill is usually $50.00 and when I questioned the price they got angry with me, demanding $85.00. This was obviously very confusing to me. It is for sure only about the money as the customer service is so poor & everything is so rushed without a care. The lady behind me was up charged for the supposed length of the nails she wanted, I’ve never even heard of that before, plus they weren’t even long. They told her the price after they were already well into it.
I would never recommend this salon to anyone. Although there are a few good reviews, I would most definitely choose another place.

My basic pedicure was fine, but I feel the cleanliness of Polo Nails has changed since my last visit in 2021, and not for the better. Tub liner was used and what looked like new scrubbers and fresh tools (hopefully from the autoclave), but I didn’t see the air powered sanding tool cleaned— hopefully it is sanitized between clients? Most disappointing was when getting out of tub, I stepped in gum on the floor. I also noticed that no disinfectant was used between clients to wipe off foot rests and arm rests etc.

If I could give this place 0 or even negative stars I would have. I used to come here all the time a few years ago and this was my first time back since Covid, and let’s just say I’m not coming again. I got a shellac manicure and it looks like I got them done 2 weeks ago because they did not paint up to my nail bed. On top of that, my nails were rushed as I was in and out in 5 minutes which is not normal for a shellac manicure. My sister got a regular polish manicure and pedicure and they only did 1 coat making the colour look almost clear when it was supposed to be a bright pink and orange colour. In addition to that, when we left the salon already upset, my sister washed her hands and the heart design she got had completely rubbed off. We decided to go back to the nail salon to get it fixed but the person at the front desk proceeded to tell us it was "my sister's responsibility" because she picked regular polish and regular polish smudges. My sister was never told she couldn't wash her hands or use her hands after the appointment, the reason it smudged was because the design was done with way too much polish. The sign at the front desk that says, "no refunds" should already be a huge red flag. Would not recommend coming here.

The ladies here are awesome, love that it’s only a short walk from our home in St. James. Can’t wait to go again and relax. Great place to take your friends or get some rest and relaxing in.

Love it here! I’ve been getting acrylic nails for 15+ years. Polo nails is the only place I like to go to now. Staff is amazing, friendly They always do an amazing job of my nails

Overpriced. Did not deserved the amount demanded! The lady did not bother to push the cuticles back and did no tried to remove the dead skin! The nails popped after 2 days

I brought my daughter to get nails for her birthday, here is first picture fully finished nails, and 2 more pictures with finished nails after my disturbance, no Apex at all, not professional! It cost me 100$! Won’t come back! Loud talking on Korean all the time!

This is the only place I've been going during the Pandemic. And they have such a clean/sterile environment it just makes you feel so comfortable knowing you don't have to give up all comforts for safety. Totally recommend.

Went here with my mom, so not recommend: (staff was friendly but work is not professional at all. We got our nails and toes done for my brothers wedding the next day and we’re saddened by the work and the chipping already on the very next day! Also, they cut my moms toe on the side which bled and she didn’t even apologize.nails were crooked and they charged us $7 extra for a couple lines on one toe nail. So sad

I got a pedicure and an eyebrow tint and clean up.
Well. I have red hair and natural brown hair so my eyebrows are light brown. They put BLACK Tint in my brows. After i asked for brown. It looks horrible. I dont even want to be seen in public.
Before that i got a pedicure And she burnt my foot with the hot towels. It hurts to wear socks or shoes. NEVER GO HERE.

Asked for 4 pedicures at the same time, easy to book and took us with shorter notice.
Friendly staff, was clean and prices reasonable.

Getting my nails done was fast but wasn't happy on how they looked. Lady did my nails with dirty gloves as well. Yuck! Gems were so crooked!

I had my appointment at 11 and was there right on time and didn't get seen until 11: 30. My shellac was poorly done! My service was done in 15 minutes and the shellac start coming off!
I will never go or recommend this place!

I got my nails done by Van and she did an amazing job. It was quick and my nails turned out beautiful. Very good quality

For the price service was basic and underwhelming. Prefer American nails just past polo. Better work for the same (over) price

The first time was a pretty good experience. The second time was good too and both times they looked good. Although, the second time, my nail polish started chipping just days after getting them done! Most of them have fallen off and the first time they all stayed on perfectly! I think it depends solely on who you go to see when it comes to this place. I have never had my nail polish chip on acrylics before so I'm more confused than anything lol

I would give no stars if I could. Yesterday I had the most rushed and unenjoyable pedicure I’ve ever received by Janny.

She first tried to remove my previous shellac with an electric nail file. Every other place I have gone to would soak off the shellac. Polo nails likes to take the easiest and quickest way to do things even if it means ruining your nails in the process. Using an electric nail file to remove the shellac completely damages and thins out your nails. Any professional nail salon would never do that. The technicians there are extremely lazy, you are not suppose to use an electric nail file to remove shellac polish no matter what other unprofessional salons tell you. The cedar tree nails soaks them off, and are amazing at what they do. Same with total wrapture spa.
I was given a hard time with wanting the shellac soaked off. She went on about why she wanted to use the machine for at least 10 minutes and she was rude. As soon as our conversation was done she would then talk with her coworkers in their language. I know they were saying things about me. You could tell she was annoyed. Then she started rushing my pedicure. She missed a few toes when pushing my cuticles back. She worked on the bottom of my feet all in the matter of 30 seconds. I then told her I felt like she was rushing. The nails were uneven and when I asked if she could file them down she seemed annoyed again. She did not give me a foot massage either which has always been included with pedicures, she only did my legs. When I asked her if the pedicure does not include a foot massage she seemed confused and then made me feel embarrassed. Once again she started talking to her coworkers in their language directly after.
A couple other ladies were not impressed with their services either who were there at the same time. They were waiting at least half an hour-45 minutes.

I will never go back to this place and I will be sure to tell my friends and family not to either.

WORST PLACE EVER! My first experience was amazing my boyfriend and i got pedis and i also got a manicure.it was a good time.today i went my appointment was for 11.the girl didn’t show up to open the place until 11: 15.i was waiting in my car for 15-20 mins.i get inside she was rude and didn’t even start right away.when we finally started she filed all my nails unevenly.i asked twice to fix it and she kept saying it was fine.we got to painting my nails and she told me the colour i chose wasn’t nice and to pick another.i said i liked the colour i chose.she proceed to take the bottle and put it away.i was livid.i said please just do clear so i can leave.then she proceeded to charge me $25 for a manicure went i went in for a shellac mani.horrible experience!
