Restaurant is in McNally Robinson so parking was a breeze. Arrived and the hostess quickly seated us. The ambiance was really nice and a lot of natural sunlight coming through and plenty of seating.

Overall good experience. Food was good. Nothing crazy but still good! My only quip would be the prices for the cafe drinks. A little bit on the pricey side but that’s about it. Would still recommend to check this place out.

They certainly did justice to the Manitoba pickerel. Loved the chocolate croissant at the bakery too.

Can't get cosier than eating inside a book store. Pricey for the portions.

5 Stars for Prairie Ink. I loved the whole experience. It took a bit for me to choose because i liked so many items on the menu.
I chose the Goat Cheese and Beet Salad. It was Amazing! So delicious, fresh, yummy!
Also a kudos/shout out/ give this girl a raise to HAYLEY! What a very friendly, excellent server. Smiling, great energy, came back to check on us. Was on top of everything.
Ty for a Great Experience! Will def be back.

Service was great even when busy and the bookstore ambiance carries over into the restaurant. I ordered the bison burger which was supposed to have shaved onions. The bun was burnt and the onions were roughly chopped and chunky at best. Best I can do is a 3.

Great time and food was fantastic. Atmosphere was pretty good, loud talker at next table was a small annoyance. We had a small issue with an order but Rebecca was fantastic on assisting us. She is a great server all-around.

They have gluten-free options! We got takeout in the morning for our train ride. I loved the food and while waiting I got a book too!

Prairie ink is always consistent. Their food doesn't ever really change and while that can be boring it is also their staple. You know when you go what the quality is of the product. Decent overall.

I brought my husband here for the first time and he absolutely loved it. The food was worth the price. The ambience was perfect. By the end of our date, my husband said he will try the other food next time. So we are definitely coming back

Front of house service is extremely rude.
I went to go grab an iced drink on my lunch and the lady in front of me in line was waiting for a period of time while the guy at the front was chatting with other workers until she had to say “hello? ” Once she was taken care of, I walked up and asked for a suggestion on iced drinks with no caffeine. He proceeded to list off a couple of things sounding very disinterested, and then interrupted my response to continue talking to other front desk workers. As I was waiting for my drink, he and another girl working started chatting and she proceeded to look me up and down. I felt extremely uncomfortable. Please teach basic customer service knowledge to your front of house workers as they are the face of your establishment and it’s extremely unfriendly at the moment.

Love the food but 4.50$ extra for glutin free bread and same for pizza.soooo disappointing that I will never go back.
Just one more cost if you are living with allergy, never seen this before.
Would this be a human rights issue?

Nice staff. Food is good but a bit overpriced. Some of the tables are placed too close to each other.

Checked their website before. Arrived at 1: 45pm. Seated at 2: 05pm.
Asked for the breakfast menu, they announced that they stopped serving it at 2pm while there is no mention of that on their website.
So we left…

I came here for breakfast. I wasn't disappointed. First time eating here not sure what to expect, but let me tell you it was worth it. Limited menu but well rounded. Something for everyone one. If you have food allergies, this restaurant can serve you. The wait staff we kind, polite and nice. Plenty of natural light and space. The amount of food based on price was perfect. The only issue I had was the potatoe hashbrowns were a little under cooked. I had their New York Style Cheesecake for dessert. It was a large piece. It took me a little while to eat.
It was worth the money spent. I would highly recommend visiting this establishment for breakfast, lunch, dinner or even coffee and dessert. Also, at no point did I feel rushed to leave. I was able to take my time and enjoy what I was eating.

Took my boyfriend here for a date so he could experience the food, it's now become a favorite of ours to frequent. The food is delish, the staff are friendly and the wait timez ain't bad. They even have good gf options (although if proper celiac be careful but they warn u). Been here a few times and I've never had a bad meal. The produce is always fresh and the food is farmers Market fresh, hand picked carefully and prepared fresh. Def recommend it

Today, Feb. 20th I came for lunch with 3 friends we each had soup and a cup of tea. The food was fine and one of the ladies took the bill. The waitress handed her the hand held debit machine. My friend, who has early dementia, was hesitant using it but the waitress was talking her through it. Coming to the bottom, the waitress said, " You have a choice here for the tip, - either this, (which I think was by percentage,) or a dollar amount". My friend said, " Oh, is 5 dollars O. K? "
The waitress said, " Choose one of these or put a dollar amount" and again, my friend said, " Is 5 dollars O. K? " " The waitress replied, rudely, " That's below normal but O. K. " and she put in the $5.
I was squirming in my seat; - this lady had wanted to make it her treat, and show that she could still handle it herself; - but I for one, felt extremely embarrassed and angry at such rudeness.
And this attitude in McNally Robinson's, a place I've previously regarded as 'classy'. Joan D.
