Real Canadian Superstore

Hate Super Store. Went in for a change to my regular Sobeys, walked out with almost nothing. I knew there was a reason I don't shop at Super Store.

VERY BAD experience. Often the price on the shelf doesn't match at the cash register. It happened to me fifth time today. Today I picked some lipsticks from different shelves, the prices did not match, and I showed pictures from the shelves to customer service but they said they will put the price that they have in their system.

There was a staff member organizing the items, which was inconvenient to carry around with a cart, but I was impressed by the kindness of the staff member who paid the bill.

Superstore prices suck. Stop ripping off the public! A family of 2 doesn't need to buy bulk everything to save a nickel. All bulk buying does is force you to buy more than you want, making the store richer, & me unable to buy more of what I need. How about just lowering the prices. I refuse to purchase anything in bulk from superstore to get a lower price. Single people also shop for groceries & don't require bulk everything. Co-op has discounts on multiple purchase of the same item, but will still give you the same sale price if you only purchase one of the item.

So apparently they have a limit of 4 for price matching. I advised that wasn't their protocol last week when the lady from customer service did the price match. The guy that worked behind customer service said it was and he would get his manager to come advise me that was their rule.out comes the same lady that did the price match previously.

Clearly their customer service are not on the same page and don't even know their own rules. Poor management and customer service.

Groceries cost less then other places. Can earn PC points for discount off groceries. Busy on weekends. Open early and late. Friendly staff.

Terrible customer service November 29 2021 around 9: 30 pm CST, I was at customer service desk to price match for the item but lady working (apparently supervisor) at the customer service desk refused to price match cause I showed her the price on the cell phone app but she was keep saying she needs a physical copy of a flyer for the price match, since when did this rule come into place? I always match prices at other stores including other super stores showing them proof on the app and never had a problem. At that moment I didn’t want to argue with her and walked away and probably not looking forward to going back to this location any time soon.

While using self checkout there were no plastic bags on deck so I asked a staff for 2. Without saying a word, she walked over to my screen and added 2 bags under my list. It felt very rude given how cheap these bags are and how much i was paying that day. Almost ruined my evening for 2 cents.

Edit to reply asking me to call: funny, maybe if you paid me handsomely. Just confirms that you guys were not trained on how to do your job, to the point that you ask customers to do it for you. Disgraceful.

The self-check out staffs better to send back to school take a course of how customer service should be. Not friendly, when asking for help they seems like somebody owned they money. I really never see these things in other branches like this. The shop is nice but staffs

Too many cops. Also, they're usually leaning up against the banking counter while on their phones.

This is my go to store, the produce is better than average, but not the best. They keep the place well stocked and most people who work here are engaged in their work. Overall a well run store.

Always has a good selection of food and other day to day products.friendly staff.over all I'd recommend the St. Vital location.having an L. C.in the store doesn't hurt either.

Big parking lot. You need a loonie for the cart. Nice selection of many food items. I like many of the PC brand products

The PC Express experience is getting so much better as they have worked out many of the kinks. Friendly, helpful staff.

Just finished shopping and older lady cashier gave me soo much attitude! Shop there all the time, but not anymore. Overpriced anyways.

I like this location and would rate it higher but,
The woman that runs the self checkout is ignorant and rude, constantly staring over your shoulder and accusing you of stealing things.
Management seriously needs to have a discussion with this woman about proper customer service and not being so rude all the time.

Pick up is constantly understaffed. Most recent pick up order took 35 minutes. There were 3 cars waiting when i showed up.

My No 1 go to store for groceries and trust me, they have an incredible range of products at competitive prices. I love their cheap no name brands.

Really like shopping here. Love the vast array of products. Staff are always around to help. Check out is smooth and quick. Love the free gifts when you spend a certain amount. Very useful items.

One of my favorite places for groceries. Great prices and selection, if you don't mind the size of the store and lack of clerks when you need help with something. Guess they gotta keep costs down somehow.

They seem to have less stuff than the one on Bison and do not carry stuff that Shoppers has but overall it's a good store

Prices are good and like going through self check out. Except today. Now you have to ask for bags. Its insulting. You're trusted to scan your own groceries but not pay for bags?

Going to try Freshco next time.

I previously gave this store 4/5, but had to downgrade due to recent experiences.

Recently they started this thing where, at the self-checkout, you have to flag an attendant to bring you some bags, and the attendant brings them and enters them in the system so you get charged for them.

On the surface this might seem like, "ok, too many people weren't paying for them so they had to start this practice", but I don't think that's what it is: I think it's (yet another) attempt at "discouraging plastic" or "encouraging reusable bags".

Part of the reason I think this is, right when they introduced this change, the self-checkout terminal started giving all sorts of weird errors that made no sense, barcodes that just didn't scan, even though previously the self-checkouts had worked FLAWLESSLY. Each of these errors calls an attendant who has to come and scan and "override" something in the system.

The only time recently where I did NOT get these weird make-no-sense errors, and the self checkout "just worked", was a time when I was only buying 1 item and didn't need a bag. That time, the self-checkout worked perfectly. Interesting, no?

Now, at the very least, this store does at least offer plastic bags (btw, what I care about is that it be a clean, one-time use bag, not per se that it be made of plastic necessary). But still, I take issue with stores trying to "encourage" people to use reusable bags. It's not their place to do this.

Those who wish to bring their reusable bags, are free to do so, in accordance with their convictions. In no way am I trying to stop them from doing this. However, I and several others, don't share their conviction, yet they seem to have taken it as their right to impose their preference/convictions on the rest of us. And that's where I take issue.

So yea, I had to downgrade my rating thanks to this deliberate attempt at encouraging reusable bags.

But, the store does have a lot of good: good selection, good prices, the PC optimum points program, which while not prefect, is quite good and better than most other loyalty programs.

I cannot lift heavy items and today the staff was gracious about helping me pack and put the groceries in my car. Sadly this isn't always the case but I noticed a real improvement in the staff's attitude the past 2 or 3 months.

Superstore is superstore. This one in particular though puts out sales items marked as sale but they are not in sale until day after. Ended up getting marked up 20 more bucks last trip cause of this. Also, there wasn't much enforcement of masks.

Every time I come here to make a delivery or a pickup I usually have to wait 45 minutes or more Plus they don't shovel the walkway for receiving. Very disappointing

SUPPORT LOCAL! Superstore has the same thing as Wal-mart people if not 100 times better!

Wonderful store, the employees must get treated well as they all seem happy doing their job. Awesome selection and I would have to say that their PC reward points is better than any other rewards program ie: Costco, Air Miles

Considering the pandemic, this was actually a pleasant shop. It wasn’t too busy in the parking lot, and it wasn’t too busy inside, and they had everything I wanted in stock. The aisles are wide so there’s more to distance here than any other store I’ve come across.

Very disappointed Superstore does NOT offer the deals like they used to. 3 weeks ago Super Stor had lean ground beef for $ 2.99 lb, this weeks feature$ 3.99. Co'mon During these times when people have either lost their jobs or hours have been reduced due to Covid, you take advantage and gouge. Not your neighbors hood store. People nowadays need a few breaks

Worst experience in my life. I've never been so offended before. The government says you shouldn't be discriminated against if you have a medical condition that prevents you from wearing a mask, but the staff working in Superstore have another opinion. If you have a medical condition, Go home, Do not come to us, even after they saw my note from my doctor. So if you have a medical condition, they has the right to humiliate you. I will tell the story of how I was insulted to everyone I know, so that they know how the Superstore treats people with medical conditions.

Need more PC express slots. Had to go in and risk Covid because there was not a slot available until the end of the week.before you suggest it i am a PC insider already.

I go there and I buy the ready cooked chickens $8 if you remember 8.98 if you're not I get home and what do they charge 1198 you guys do that all the time not impressed

Had an experience also with instacart not very reliable. Found that either couldn't find the products I wanted lots of revisions. I also found when i came back to use Instacart again the product page was gone and they only offered me what i had previously ordered. Very disappointing.

There aisle arrangement makes it easy finding what I'm looking for. The thought that I can buy plantains in their grocery section is great. Look forward to the day I can buy west African yam and food produce in the store.
