Real Canadian Superstore Mcphillips Street

We had a very disiappoting experience with the optometrist, we spent over $700 and we had a pair of glasses to repair and my wife was told could not be repaired. Not true, they were repaired before and he was very rude to my wife. The glasses were a easy fix, I guess they want more money. And the glasses we bought there. Will never Shop in that place again! I would give 0 STARS! And I have bought many pairs of glasses at this place over the years.

I had an issue with my PC express order (it was never delivered and I was not even notified). I kept getting the run around from staff at this location and DoorDash. Finally, I spoke with associate who actually helped me: Madison. She was fantastic.

The ladies at customer service were very nice and accommodating to my situation. First of all, this location was the 3rd superstore I went to because my baby has specific dietary needs, and this location was the one that finally had soy-based similac in stock.

Second, the other two previous locations I went to did not let me exchange the cows-milk based formula that I had previously bought. Even after explaining that this formula made my son very sick with diarrhea and vomitting, they said that they don't take back baby food because they can't re-sell it due to the fact that they can't guarantee it's been stored properly after it's left the store; understandable. But this was $100+ worth of formula.

The ladies at the McPhillips location gave me no greif, they were empathetic to my baby not being able to take in the formula that I bought. They allowed me to do the exchange knowing they'll have to throw it out. I am so relieved and grateful, hence why I am leaving this positive review.

Its the little things that give me so much joy. Thank you.:)

Ps. I want to add that the second location I went to, on top of not letting me exchange the formula that I had, sold me formula that ALSO WASN'T LACTOSE FREE. (You have to buy formula over the counter, so they hand it to you). It wasn't until 2 days into my son drinking it that I realized his diarrhea and vomitting was not residing. I checked the can and it was still cows-milk formula -_-. I was so infuriated!

At this particular location not so bad especially during Christmas time I'm surprised it's not more busier a good place if you don't like crowds

Supestore is tied with PC Optimum but the points are just for selected items only changes over time. I wish all items has points.

The clothing section is extremely lacking. Im a plus sized woman, and there is 0 plus sized clothes. Everything is extended sizing, so there is no seperate section either. When you go through you cant find anything for your plus sized ladies.

Although food prices are high, that isn’t the fault of the location itself as most are regulated by corporate.staff is either amazing or absolutely terrible, there really isn’t an inbetween.younger staff constantly on their phones.

This is one store with everything and even realized that groceries are at reasonable prices, and now have great variety of almost all asian items.

I went im today and didnt get a cart. The grocery manager rampar went out of his way to help me with 2 cases of water and carried them out for me. Such a great guy for doing that for me

This location has the best staff I have ever met. Even the customer service staff are friendly at this location.

It was alright, came there for something and it wasnt there. Not to mention, it is cheaper and better to go to Freshco

One of the bigger stores a little more to offer here than the Sargent/St. James St location.

Go here for my weekly groceries. Well stocked and well kept place.

The international food section seems to have changed a lot with less Indian snacks available now.

I love the fact they have 5 yes 5 different choula s made my weekend so much better so thank you

Ordered prescription glasses for my son, took more than a month to get it at this store. Tried to phone them a couple of times and left message, no one phoned back. Last phone call I told them that I will cancel my order since its been a month, thats the only time they phoned back to tell me that my order is ready.

Good rates / deals and fresh fruits.
Clean and giant store.
Less options for veggies.

Terrible since they cut hours. Understaffed near 10 so there are lines halfway down the aisles. The deli staff always seem miserable and move as slowly as possible if they aren’t avoiding you altogether. They also never empty their cart racks in the parking lot.

Never been to this store in Winnipeg but post-pandemic, we don't buy much at any Superstore, or SuperGouger, as we call it now.
