Co-op had tons of local Manitoba products and unique items you won't find in other grocery stores. There's always lots of specials in store and the staff are so friendly!

Never buy flowers from here. Every single employee I could literally see them seeing me coming with flowers keeping their head down. Get rung through, no offer to wrap even though it’s -20 out. Passed the flower wrap spot on the way out the door and an employee looks at me, looks my my flowers, puts his head down and walks away. Lazy lazy lazy. Get some employees that actually value their jobs

We used to love coming here until shrinkflation hit everything. By far the most expensive grocery chain in Winnipeg.

Always shop here for groceries. Prices can be higher than Superstore. But the quality is excellent. I watch the flyer and usually get good prices. This is also a Canadian grocery store just in Manitoba.

Fresh vegetables and fruits, bakery items, in store beverage options (cappuccino is heaven!), usual sections for day to day grocery items. Lays are available in Indian flavours.

Co-op at this location has been my go to since the pandemic started. The store is large and never over crowded. I love that they carry local items. I usually use the self check out, but when I don't the staff are always friendly.

Clean store.
Great lighting.
Good flower selection.
Needed help at self check out. The lady made me feel like I was bothering her.
Not a good impression for me.

Otherwise happy longtime Red River Co-op member (business and personal). Won’t be going back to Dakota location.

Reason is the way the Grocery Manager (Bryson) caused a duplicate charge on my card, then ghosted me then after a month of my effort eventually refunded. I tried to ‘do the right thing’ by alerting the self checkout cashier when the terminal didn’t produce a receipt (I now wish I’d just left when the debit machine said “Approved”). The cashier got the Manager who asked to see my membership card and proof on my banking app, which I showed. He made the cashier ring it all in again anyway against my repeated requests not to since I had proof I’d successfully paid. For some reason that transaction failed and she had to scan it all a third time. It was a $56 receipt and took over half an hour at the checkout with him disappearing into the office then having to be summoned, looking annoyed.

When I followed up because of course there were two charges the next day on my online banking, I spoke to Bryson who asked for proof in the way of a screenshot. I said you can look on your records you told me yesterday it would show up if there were two charges. At first he said yes that’s true and he would call right back. He did actually call but said I needed to provide proof for head office for a refund. So I sent him an email with a screenshot as directed. After a few days when he hadn’t replied I emailed again (same thread) still no response. After a month since the incident I called, talked to Bryson he had washed his hands of it said he passed it off to Ashley. I waited on hold for Ashley when she picked and she didn’t know anything about it. When I informed her she told me I’d have to come back in for the refund. I asked her to make sure there was a communication left to prevent issue if I came back. When I came a couple days later neither who knew about it were there nor could Customer Service find any note. I got the refund (held the poor guy behind me up with no acknowledgment for quite awhile). It was bothering me so I politely said nobody at any point in the multiple opportunities has said sorry for the inconvenience so I won’t be shopping here which I’m bummed about. The clerk said sorry, and I said I know it’s not her fault it’s a management and customer service culture problem. I did embarrassingly ask for and received a gift certificate for my time snd trouble, but it came with no apology and a begrudging authorization from Bryson for $5 (and long wait and multiple failed attempts to issue a GC!). I tried calling Head Office to let them know they have an Customer Service / HR problem but gave up out of frustration. Hopefully they will see the review snd address that store’s gap, I believe this experience is inconsistent with RRC standards.

To balance… stars given for Grant Park location.the Pharmacy staff at GP are excellent. The pharmacy staff are Professional, personable and knowledgeable. We knew the cashiers by friendly face having continued as dedicated customers after Safeway morphed into RRC. So sad when we moved the relationship with Red River Grocery ends over this. Will still buy gas here.

Almost finished a renovation and is looking very nice. Full service delivery etc, just need to figure out where everything is until they finalize everything.

In renovations right now, stock is very limited. Out of sale items of course "they were shorted". Usually pretty good place though

Worst shopping experience of my life. I was browsing for anything else that I needed but apparently if your not older than 30 and not white you look like your up to no good and was bum rushed out of the store.

Good produce area. Good selection. Dark. No natural light. Clean. Friendly staff. Large bakery. No one around to help though.

CO-OP is always a good experience. Staff is friendly and items are easy to find with the store well marked and organized. I always find what I need. The prices are comparable to other stores.

Honey Dill Chips are the best. The deli manager was the absolute best and extremely helpful. The cashier we had as well was amazing! She was energetic, enthusiastic, and an awesome person.

Co-op can be fast shopping as a quick in-and-out trip for lunch especially if using the self check out. Pleasant staff. Usually I can find what I'm looking for. Lingered at the yarn selection a little longer than time allowed. Wonderful colorways.

Store is clean and friendly, washrooms wheelchair accessible.

If your skin tone isn't white expect to be followed and harrassed 100%. They have miserable staff working there and they will go out of their way to make sure you have a terrible day every single time.

The store was busy as is typical on a Saturday afternoon and there was only one person in line ahead of me. I started unloading my cart and another shopper came into the line. An employee directed her to a new lane that just opened.

Quick, efficient and decent prices.

Decent prices and a more interesting selection of products than Sobeys. I could not find any lactose free whipping cream, although they do carry other lactose free products. Damn, back to Sobeys I guess. I need to make my lactose free cream of mushroom soup!

I drove all the way around the city looking for the new limited edition Ace Burpee Honey Dill chips and this is the only COOP that had them. I was so happy and the staff was very helpful and kind even though I ran in just before closing. It was definitely worth the drive.

Was alright, I really enjoy the half carts to push around as it's easier and makes the store less traffic jammed. They need to update the kd scanning

Still kind of expensive. But the staff were friendly. Seeing me carrying many things and offered me a basket. Self check our guy was helpful and friendly. Just expensive still.

Nice and clean atmosphere. Alot less congested than other grocery stores. Prices vary as some are more expensive and some are less expensive comparatively to other stores. Overall I enjoyed my shopping experience but couldn't give a 5 star due to workers not as readily available to ask for help and the prices of item slightly higher than other stores.
23 June 2019 20:01
Honesty, not great. Solid selection but items are spread out over many sections of the store making it difficult to find items. Also, their "gluten free" section contains a bunch of wheat based products.
10 June 2019 17:46
Depends on what sales they have, I find the produce at Sobeys far better, and usually cheaper. Overall definitely one of the more expensive places to shop.

A grocery store with all of the basics. However it especially tries to focus on local foods. I've purchased local (MB) flour, local (MB) frozen pizza. They have great local sauces and snacks. It may be a little more expensive for local but as they say "Support Local". They also have numerous in-store made bakery and deli items. Bring your CO-OP card and earn cash back biannually. My one dislike, it's a little dark. Maybe I'm getting old but I like to see the produce I'm buying.

Very good. Even had help with one item at shelf check that was stubborn. Cashier even made sure I got my seniors discount. I love their automated bulk section that weighs, identifies prices and prints barcode. All the other bulk providers should be ashamed.
10 March 2019 10:54
Great staff. Had one bad incident where a staff memeber was working with a friend to intimidate shoppers by pretending to be security agent at the door (which they have never had) but backed down when I threatened to call the police. Never saw the friend again so I guess they moved on.
03 March 2019 21:35
Folks are friendly and well informed about their products. Cashiers are generally helpful and relatable. Bright well lit aisles are usually predictable. Prices are market fair and there are often good deals.
26 February 2019 17:55
Some of the friendliest cashiers I have seen in store, The deals are always great and the shelfs are always stocked with deals. Love Co-op and appreciate the hospitality. Great place to get some groceries!
