Red River Furnace & Duct Cleaning

Don’t believe what they tell you on the phone. And read the reviews before hiring duct cleaning companies. They are not honest and pretty sure most of the good reviews about them are fake since most have reviewed just the one company.
I gave this company a week to make things right, and in the end, I finally got to speak to the owner that would NOT do anything! In fact, would barely let me speak. He said he was not interested in listening to the he said she said since it was not me that was there and they dealt with my elderly mother. I will also attach an invoice of the Duct cleaning of my moms 800 sq foot home to the end of this review. This company will take you for all the work they can and when they leave will not even close the gate. So, if you have dogs beware!
I usually handle things like this for my mom, but without my knowing she called them herself. Please note my mom is a senior. After they left, she called me extremely upset, she could not believe she received an $1100 + bill.
Did she agree to the work? Yes! Did she know what they were talking about? No, she could barely understand them. I called other companies to get quotes some higher than others but told them the exact work needed and most were around $400. So before hiring these people please call around. If you look on Facebook for recommendations you will not see this company name unless it is negative. Please remember that.
In my research I also found out that this company also goes under the name Super value home services. Low and behold they have terrible reviews too.
Now, lets go back to when I called them.
I was curious to how they did business, so I pretended I was a new customer and asked for a quote. I listed the things that were on my moms $1100+ receipt, and they quoted me less than half. I then asked what the difference was between a new customer and an old and was quoted $550. HUGE DIFFERENCE! And yes, the lady on the phone was extremely nice and the way she spoke to me I would say she did a really great job. Then I spoke to the manager, she kept telling me how she was on my side and wanted to help. Yes, she too was very nice.
Then there was the owner, when I told him that if he was not going to make right and give my mom half her money back since that is what I was quoted that I was would post a review based on this situation he got upset and said “fine if you want to tarnish the name of a small company in an already troubled industry, that’s fine” All he needed to do was honor the quote I received over the phone, so it’s his customer service that did this not me. He did however, remain calm, but when he was getting upset he would just ramble on about business and “Good work” and 35 years in business, Lets just say he was not hearing me. He used an email my elderly mother sent against me as well. This email was her saying she consented to the service but feels extremely taken advantage of. Which they responded with an email for her to contact them. I guess he missed the part about he was to talk to me or would not because I was one he could not take advantage of.
Whenever I tried to speak and explain myself, he would say “well it’s obvious you are argumentative, and this is not going to get anywhere” I actually had to say to him “can I speak now? ”
I guess I should not have given them a week they had to make a decision he had an answer to everything
He had no interest in helping me.
I know most will not read this to the end. My mom suffers a brain injury, and I am her POA and yes I did tell them that, but they didn’t seem to care because “She signed and agreed! ”
Also did I mention that while dealing with these people I specifically told them to contact me regarding this matter, and even then, the owner still tried to contact my mother before me. My mom called me afterwards extremely upset because she felt sick to her stomach, she could not understand that less than an hour of vacuuming could cost $1100+.

This is how they treat their existing customers! But hey they treat their new ones real good…. On the phone!

I had a really good experience with the technicians sent out to clean my furnace ducts and my dryer vent. They were friendly, courteous and knowledgeable, came on time and were highly efficient. They explained everything they were doing and did not mind me shadowing them the whole time they were working. I also had my furnace inspection done. But due to a miscommunication between me and the person booking the appointment the technician they sent out was qualified to do the inspection but not licensed to give me the fire and paramedic certificate that my condo corporation requires and they had to send out another service person who was licensed to give me that certificate. This should have been an extra service call charge, but because of the miscommunication this charge was waived. Extremely pleased with this. Your company was referred to me and I am certainly going to refer others.

Red River Furnace and Duct cleaning has provided multiple services for myself including installing a new furnace, cleaning my ducts, servicing my furnace and AC unit, as well as repairing my AC unit. All employees have been super friendly, thorough and helpful. They have gone above and beyond to ensure that everything is working properly and functioning efficiently. They even fixed my dryer vent for me and replaced my furnace filter! They discovered mold in my ducts, and after this was treated my allergies have been so much better this spring. I have a better quality of life because of the amazing employees that work for Red River Furnace and Duct Cleaning!

After installing my new high efficiency furnace, they were very educational on how to navigate the changes.they have been amazing and I would recommend them to anyone needing any of the services that they provide. Had them do a custom job for me to install a humidifier system in Best Sleep Centre at 953 st James. Others quoted less but never showed to do the job. These folks made the system I needed work even though we had nothing to work from past the 300 pint per day humidifier. 2 or 3 guys two days and a return for a tweak and everything works as hoped for

A division Super Value a sister company of Red River! The 2 guys came out friendly and very professional! They did a great job with the duct cleaning and we don’t have dust in the condo! Very satisfied with the job done!

I enqueried if they could fix my water heater. Send a man who new nothing about the product and even did not have a proper screw driver. Charged 433.44 dollars but water heater was not fixed. Now asking for more money. Technician was not qualified one.just wastage of money. Never get any service. I will file complaint with Better Business Bureau and fraud under 5000.00

I used this company over 10 years ago, they won't stop calling (every 2 - 3 days). I do not recommend them as they were unprofessional when we used their services in 2012. I have asked them not to call but they don't care and continue to call and are very rude over the phone.

I do not recommend this company!

We bought our first house and we did some research on who we should use for duct cleaning and we chose Redriver furnace and duct cleaning best decision I ever made from the office staff right down to the two technicians that showed up at our house very professional Great Value showed us before and after pictures helped make the right decisions. I would strongly recommend this company to anybody looking to get their ducts cleaned?

Red River Furnace and Duct Cleaning is a very great company to use for Duct and Carpet cleaning services in house, not only because of their excellent quality of work but also because of their customer service. I have been using them for about 3 years now.
The technicians are great, professional and always do a very great job. The office employees are also very polite and always explain everything beforehand clearly so that there is nothing hidden on the day they are out for us. Highly recommend them to everyone for any kind of Duct, Furnace and Carpet Cleaning!

It was my first time using Red River furnace and Duct cleaning and the work done by the two technicians that were out to clean our ducts and vents was excellent. They recommended me premium products to be used because my duct system smelled awfully bad. They communicated the benefits and usages of the products well enough for me to understand everything. All the recommendations made by technicians was highly helpful. The technicians were very kind and professional. Their office staff is so friendly and they answer calls promptly. I would continue using this company in future as well! Would definitely recommend this to family and friends!

Had our Ducts, Carpets, and Furniture cleaned by Red River. The before and after pictures of the ducts showed a huge difference. I chose to have them disinfect the ducts after seeing everything that was in there and we have definitely noticed the difference.

The carpets and furniture look so much better. We were told they could take up to 24 hours to dry but everything was dry less than 12 hours later and still look and smell great. Will definitely recommend Red River to friends and family.

We have used red river on two separate occasions! We had them come out and clean our ducts and vents and were super professional and did a great job. Then last winter we had some issues with our furnace and they sent one of their technicians Mike. He was very knowledgeable and able to fix the furnace for a very reasonable price instead of having to fully replace the furnace! Couldn’t be happier with the service.

Beware! These people INSIST that you provide them with your Visa number upfront and in ADVANCE for the work, so that they can charge you for endless unnecessary “EXTRAS”

We had RR in to clean our ducts after some renovations. They showed us before and after pics. What a mess became very clean. Very pleased with the service and guys who did the work.

Will not stop calling. I've asked 4 times to be put on do not call list. They do not stop. Its sickening. I've blocked them now.

This is a 5 Star Company. The furnace technician, Gerry, is excellent. He provided me with good information about furnace's status and tips about continuing to have it tuned-up and cleaned.
