Wow, just went here trying to pick up a load of gravel and I’m suddenly told they’re closing early due to the weather not a drop of rain in sight but they’re closing early two hours early due to the weather. Wow useless

Literally some women working here don’t know how to talk they have their AirPods on and act like bih

5/10 for delivery at most, 0/10 for instructions intake, 0/10 for clearing it out with the customer. Asked for soild to be dump near the house, on the right, got it dump near the walkway on the left instead. When i ask, employees can't specify why, and promise to sent out someone to fix it up. The next day, still see a big mess right in front of my house, called back, sent straight to the manager this time. Explain (or excuses) because of park car so cant dump on the left. Fine, why cant dump near the house then? Manager excuse for work and hang up on me. Had to call back once more, ask and said nothing can't be done. My questions are, why can't these guys told me that in the first place? Why aren't there any photo, pdf reciept sent directly to the customer when soil is delivered? Why make a false promise while you guys clearly can just said: "the manager isn't here right now, i will have him connect with you tomorrow"? Why can't your employees understand, take and execute directions more clearly? I don't know if it regular for Canada soil companies standard, but from my personal experience, the customer service were below average at best, while understanding and being transparent with customer is none at all. For anyone that could read my comments, is it normal for soil companies to dump it wherever they consider "best posible" and then refuse to take further responsibility? What if you have a farm in your backyard, and you need 10 yard soil, and the "best posible" place is in your front yard, you now have to deal with a huge pile of dirt when you came back from work?

It wasn't the cheapest place, but it delivered 3 yards of compost when I needed it. Friendly, punctual, no complaints!

Terrible service. Ordered 20 yards of soil, we moved our entire day around, arranged a crew to receive the product and do the work for us. Soil delivery was a no show in the time they stated they would be here. Upon calling we were told the driver hadn’t even returned to the yard to head our way. Because of Riemers zero communication and inability to hold up to their promise of delivery. I am out of pocket hundreds of dollars, not to mention our entire weekend is ruined. If you must use this company do not put any faith into reliability. Could be viable as a last resort only. If I could give zero stars I would

Good prices & friendly staff. It is confusing for new customers to know where to go. I do believe better signage is needed.

Big volume, lots of selection. Very fertile 4-way mix. Expect weeds, it's heavy on the chicken compost. Top your garden with mulch, top your lawn with lawn.

I had an excellent experience with Reimer Soils, particularly with a man named Bruce at the dirt field, me and my family were driving around looking for soil for a Halloween project, we explained our situation to Bruce and he was very polite, accepting and accommodating, willing to help us in our situation. Had a good conversation with Bruce that ultimately ended with him helping us out and pointing us to where we can find good soil that would work perfectly for our project! Thanks for the help Bruce!

Unfortunate that we didn’t get the driver’s name because he definitely knows how to do his job & super friendly!

First of all, I found their website well-designed and easy to navigate. It was especially helpful in clearly explaining the specific applications of their products. We were able to identify the proper products for our project and the coverage calculator was bang on. We were able to get next day delivery, even for our small project, and the driver called just before he left the yard with an approximate ETA which I really appreciated. Will definitely be using them again for any landscaping needs.

One of the two "Go To" places we use for any of our yard projects. Whether you need several cubic yards of material or a couple of cubic feet Reimer Soils most likely will have it. They carry various sands, gravel crushed stone and several different soil mixtures. Very convenient location on Lagimodiere Boulevard, between Dugald Road and Regent Avenue West, especially if you live in the east side of the city. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.

I have been there to buy gravel so they charge me 29. _ for a half yard of 1/4 down such to much so I came back next day and there was a girl outside charge me 33. _ so I told her I paid 29 yesterday and show her the receipt she said that was wrong, please respect your customer and don't ever try to make them look stupid to you look not I would never go back there because they are above thief's level, there are some other places way better than them.

The difference in price between picking up your own soil or buying in bags or arranging delivered soil is really significant.
Reimer Soils Ltd was fast and friendly, and a yard of soil placed in my trailer cost only $27 and change, all in!

Back when I gave the company my business, they had obviously just done a load of rocks and then sent my topsoil in it. When I watered the sun shone & glittered on my newly seeded, now rock covered lawn. Wanted to cry! I called to complain & the guy said angrily "What do you want me to do about it? " Remove the rocks from my lawn of course! He grumbled something & hung up.
I had to remove the rock by hand as they weren't large enough to rake.which took many days of painstaking picky work. Of course the lawn was also ruined. My soil wasted. My money wasted.my time wasted.
I only buy by the bag now -

Super helpful over the phone. Very patient with explaining the different options for soul composition improvement. The lady was very knowledgeable and quoted a very fair price. Even suggestion downsizing the order to one truck as a starter to see how it goes in covering the area.

I would recommend this business to everyone, They Have a Excellent quality top soil mix, Your grass will look Amazing in summer time,

Used to order from them, but found that their topsoil always produced way too many weeds, and had a lot of garbage in it, such as twigs straws, etc. They don't sift their material very well. I prefer to go to T & T now. Much better quality soil.

Topdressed my lawn with their soil. It was supposed to be clean, but was ultimately full of weeds. Was told to send in an email. After doing so, had to call multiple times to follow up and was only offered “tips” on how to control weeds. I have top dressed my lawn previously from other companies, and have not had this issue before. Definitely will not be ordering from them again.

Good customer service, fast delivery, but got $100 worth of 4-way to top up the garden and use around the yard but it was full of weeds that have been a pain to manage. Pretty disappointing

Reimer is a local business that deserves more than 5 stars & my time to write an review. If you are working on your house, you can understand how frustrating it can be to get all the right materials.

Long story short: If you know what you want and explain it to the staff properly, then the Reimer's driver, office staff and the yard team knows how to make it happen for your property.

I was missing a key component to finish my driveway's landscape. A big boulder. The gentleman in the Reimer's yard showed us multiple boulders & told us quotes. I was able to find the right one. A 3x3x2 boulder that I assume weighed over a ton. The ladies in the office helped us process the order.

What really struck me was the vast knowledge the staff had. I took every measurement (&pictures) of the place this needed to be dropped off at. Usually with boulder they are dropped off on soft spots (i.e. Grass or rocks/gravel), so when I mentioned driveway, they showed concerns and thought it was on concrete until I showed them the pictures. I assume they were being cautious because Concrete would crack if boulder this size gets dropped. The office staff showing me that concern was a very good sign of their experience with boulders.

The driver was very knowledgeable. He pulled the truck exactly as I expected and dropped the boulder EXACTLY how I wanted it. This rock could've rolled off as soon as it was dropped so we got lucky there because it was heavy to move myself. Drivers experience on how much to pull the truck in, helped me make sure it was dead-center.

I had to fix couple of pavers tiles (from truck tire) afterward which was my fault, as plan to place boulder came to my mind after I had done pavement. Either way, I took that risk & it worked out fine at the end. Below some photos and finished product with floating house number from Amazon.

This company was wonderful to deal with. Prices are fair, and customer service was incredible. Reimer called when they were leaving for my house, and arrived in the time they said they would. The driver was friendly and courteous and backed down the driveway as we requested.

Ordered 4 yards limestone and only got a bit over 3 yds. Totally unacceptable. Teach that one loader operator how much your buckets hold. A full 2 yard bucket with a small bump is NOT 3 yards! Not impressed. Messed up my whole day.
