As a first time homebuyer, this firm took advantage in my lack of knowledge about processing real estate paper work and dealing with law firms. I was sent an invoice for a deal that fell through, and I inquired to ask why was I being charged for a deal the fell off during the cooling-off period and asked for a detailed explanation of the work that was done, I got a rude response from Jeff Shypit.

To be fair, I did not realize that the time frame for the closing date and processing paperwork was too short and I made the mistake of not reviewing the paper where it said that they will start work immediately. So, I will gladly pay the invoice due to my mistake.

However, instead of receiving expert advice for my mistake, I was treated horribly for asking for an explanation regarding the invoice. I was under the impression that I am only signing papers agreeing that I will go with the law firm when the deal actually moved forward. Instead of giving me an explanation, he proceeded to tell me that every thing was in the email and they have written historical record of the transaction and welcome me to come in their office so that he can show me where I agreed to their term. When I gave him the feedback that I wish they would have given me more heads up, he just proceeded to refer back to the email. And so when I decided to not continue with them, he proceeded to mock me and told me that they don't do work for free, when all I'm asking was just an explanation of the work.
He could be a good lawyer but his customer service is abysmal.

When asked for an accommodation due to a hearing disability, the Lawyer refused to proceed with my case. After a very lengthy and not so pleasant conversation over why this is a Human Right that I’m entitled to, he relented and gave me an exception. No apology or after thought. According to him I hear just fine and it wasn’t necessary. Worst service.
