Girls or servers are way to rude. Don’t even know what customer service is. We ordered food after finishing we ordered some light snacks that girl brought my stuff that wasn’t even fully ready. Also please teach your staff some manners if customers are done with first order make sure remove empty dishes from table so we have some space. Worst place ever for dine in.and terrible customer service. Hire some good staff.

Love the food there! Tastes simply awesome, and is always fresh.
The service could be better. I understand slow service as they are serving fresh food and probably don’t have too much staff, trying to keep their costs low.
I just don’t understand why they take away the menus right away, and then disappear. They try to give you one menu card for 2-3 people and are very eager to take it away. That means, if something wants to order more, they would have to go ask for the menu. This may require you to wait further as you may not find anyone to ask for the menu. It feels like they don’t want you to order more. I think they would benefit from looking into this.
But I love their dosas!

Fantastic food and my personal favorite is the aloo butter masala sandwich with the sweet chutney, it simple is to die for but don't take my word for it I challenge people to try everything on the menu atleast once you won't regret it

Very poor service. Literally took an hour to make a dosa we ordered 4 times but only got one in an hour. Still paid for all

Found big hair at dining in my idly last month. Ur girl server knows about it. A new guy was trainee was there as well.

So much unhygienic issues i see with this restaurant. Last winter, when i came to pickup a kulfi, a girl server was mopping at closing time and directly she jumped to till and gave me the kulfi.

Atleast she should have washed her hands.

This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool and the staff (Prabhjit) is also really friendly. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and making the customers happy is their main priority. Food is pretty good for their prices it’s 100% worth it.

Royal paan has totally deteriorated its services. Absolutely horrible cleanliness. Servers showing absolute lack of enthusiasm/energy. Food quality deteriorated. Ordered chhole bhature. Had to wait more than 15 mins to get my second bhatura.till then my chhole went cold. Not sure why owner is not interested to upkeep the quality of food and service. Never going again and not referring this place to anyone. Injust wasted $70 today.absolutely wasted.

Recently, I ordered a mango Falooda and ended up getting a rose one instead, even after stating that I specifically wanted a mango one. It wasn’t even properly made and was rushed completely, not even filling to the top. This was a complete waste of $7 as it did not even taste good at all. The man who served me was showing a very bad attitude to me and was being very disrespectful. I was being very kind to him and instead he was just being extremely rude for absolutely no reason. On top of that, he was not wearing any gloves while making it and it was unhygienic. After drinking it, it made my stomach hurt a lot and this happens every single time I come to Royal Paan. This experience is my last time going here and do not recommend this place to anyone.

The ambience is really good. Staff is friendly and their service is amazing. Usually i visit there to eat my favourite dish that is Masala dosa. Its very thin and crunchy from outside and its stuffing is good. Moreover royal falooda in rose flavour is on top of the drinks. My experience was good far away.

Staff is so rude. Came up to me and instead of saying hi or hello, she said what do u wanna order? I said we need sometime, did not show up for next 15 mins. There was another couple sitting upfront us started calling them out and nobody came out. So frustrating.
The server came back and just standed in front of me, I started giving her my food order she did not said “yes or ok” she stood quiet and noded her head and went in.
So so so rude. Why have you opened this business if you don’t know how to run it?
Please make your staff more responsible and train them more about customer service.

Tried Masala Dosa, Paneer Masala dosa, grilled Cheese sandwich, steam idli, Faluda ice cream.overall good experience. Service was good and place was clean. Price very reasonable. Highly recommended if you would like to try Dosa.

We ordered Dabeli, chole Bhature and paav bhaji from Meadowood. Dabeli was horrible. There were big chunks of potatoes in it and no peanuts or pomegranate in it. The buns were not even split cut properly, not pan fried too. I wanted to order stuffed kulcha Chana which showed on their website (picture attached) but they replied its not on our menu. The boondi raita barely had 10 boondis in it. Bhature were dry and chewy. I did bot have good experience here.

Stood there waiting wasn't even acknowledged, wanted to try a smoothie but didn't get the chance.

I ordered 3 pani puri and sev batata puri from here today. The portion for the pani puri and sev bata puri was so less that I actually thought that my order is missing some items. When I called them, they asked me to write in the instruction box, whenever I need some more the next time. I would suggest them to please increase the quantity for the snacks as it was not enough even for a single person. Highly disappointed.

They are out of stock even in morning when they open. Zero management. Order more inventory. Not ordering again.

Customer service was very bad and the attitude of the cashier was even worse. She even didn’t know how to talk or even attend a customer. Worst experience ever. Veruy disappointing.

I am very sad to say their food quality is very low, there was only the east indian restaurant to whom we can trust of quality food. One day I ordered dosa they took long time anyway, after getting my dosa i asked them some more sambhar they took sometime and they added water in sambhar gave it to me. I realy very annoyed. Yesterday i took out my order, as i opened my dosa again they didnt spread the stuff in both dosa, they just put in the centre and roll it. And taste was very bad. Salt level was very bad. I never want to try any more. Its st vital location.

I came here to eat dosa. The cashier was cold and unwelcoming, as if they were living in their own universe. The customers should always come first. I work in the food sector, and I always greet everyone with a smile. And when someone comes in to get food or place an order, it is appreciated since the restaurant is working smoothly because of those consumers. It will not suffice to simply serve food with a plain, irritated expression.

I ordered dosa for pickup from SkipTheDishes, the restaurant staff was very unwelcoming. They gave me cold and wrong order. The packaging was very bad, food was spilling out of the container.

Food taste has gone bad. Single person serving the almost full restaurant as a result dirty table, floor and delay in service. Server tried her best to do at that situation but it was too much for her. Use to be very good place for both food and service but a big downfall.

Trash store, never sends you the correct order/item. And don’t even apologize for messing up the order.

Me & my husband went to eat lunch together and after waiting for 20 min my husband got his dish while I had to wait for another 15 min to get mine. Meanwhile my husband finished his meal and then I got mine. I mean you don’t go to a restaurant and spend money to eat at different time and not enjoy a meal together.
Plus our food was not served hot!

The only good thing about this place is nice & polite staff. They talk respectfully and try their best to make you comfortable.

I hope other things get an improvement soon so ppl could enjoy Indian Street Food there!

Second time I came here in 2 years, both experiences were bad. Today, I ordered falooda and server said its gonna take time coz machine is not working. After an hour I asked her, again she said little more time. Third time I asked her she said machine is not working. Inni ta Samaj honi chahidi a k pehla dsdo k nai bna hona, we were sitting there and waiting for falooda for an hour. Hor v kam hunde a bnde nu. 1st tym gye ta sev puri diti without sauce, only gol gappe and sev.

Not a recommended place to come. 40 minutes wait an order to come. Horrible customer service.

Service was very poor. Took them forever to serve water. We needed to ask them for water after waiting for 10 minutes and still didn’t served the water for next 10-15 minutes. Finally when they brought us the water. Glasses were very dirty and there was something floating in water. Very unhygienic place to visit with poorest services you can get in the town. They sent someone took order when they sent us the water and already served us cutlery before taking our order and that was dirty too. One of the worst and most unhealthy places I’ve been in the city.

That’s my point: Food quality is very poor…
Specially Never try their sandwiches worst quality i have seen in my life.

Ordered chole bhathure at 9: 00pm.and it’s the worst.look like it has been cooked early morning.don’t recommend to anyone.

The food was amazing, especially considering how affordable this restaurant is. On top of that, our server was delightful. This will definitely become a place we regularly visit!

I never write reviews, however this is the worst east Indian restaurant in the city. Hands down. Save yourself the troubles, find another place.

Mostly food is great. Service was slow as they had staff away sick. But evenafter serving food they kwpt forgetting to bring cutlery, refill water. After they brought out dosa chutney n sambhar came out after 15 minutes by then the dosa was completely cold. If they know staff is away they should have called the back up staff or something.

We ordered following stuff:

Bombay grill Sandwich
Chole Bhature
Rose Shake
Grilled cheese Sandwich

Food was on point. Can’t take even 1 point away from them for that. The food was prepared on time (It was a takeout) and the service was on point as well.

Now let’s come to the part where it gets bad. When you enter the restaurant, you see most of the tables dirty. I saw piles of dishes not taken away from the tables and for the time I was there, no one bothered to take them away as well for almost 15 mins.

The floor was messy and the way towards washroom was pretty obstructed. Torn couches did not add anything to the flair. The walls were dingy and dirty too. The garbage outside the store was full and was home to a gazillion flies. May be this location is due for a renovation, I am not sure but they should really look into it.

I hope to see a better version in future from them. Cheers.

I have been there 4-5 times and the place is perfect to have Indian food.recommend it 100 percent must go and check the new menu.having chaaps and all. Best street food.service is awesome ppl are friendly and helpful

Worst papri chat I have had. Served in a deep dish floating in a soup of yoghurt and mint chutney

We tried Royal Paan during our road trip from Alberta to Montreal. Food was not as good as we expected. Menu was not updated so many items are not available. Finally, we ordered a south Indian dish but the quality was so poor that our stomach upset for the next 2 days. So guys if you are excited to try Royal taste then prefer to go somewhere else.

I used to like this place alot but the experience i had today was very disappointing. Me and my husband ordered 2 dosas and pav bhaji. We got the dosa but didn’t get sambhar, after waiting for minutes we asked for sambher. The girl on front was really rude and at the end i ordered kulfi which was melting and she put it in a cup and that kulfi was sour, i had to garbage it. Didn’t want to argue there, but very upset with the service. Will never be back.

The menu and service were beyond my expectations. I surely liked the atmosphere of this restaurant. Nice restaurant to take my family out for lunch.

Worst service. We find hair in our food twice. The sev in sev puri tasted really bad like it was expired since months we complaint she said don't pay for it.she didn't even apologize. Will never visit.

Had very bad experience with the dine-in service. It was very long wait time, it took around 1 hour for them to prepare the food which we ordered. I would suggest you to make online pickup or online order because they were given more priority then the customer who came for dine-in.

Enjoyed dinner there with my wife yesterday - our first time coming to the restaurant. Loved the dishes we ordered. Flavorful food that left us really impressed. Very friendly staff - will for sure go again!

Guys - I never do this however I felt the need to send out this feedback - I ordered paw bhaji tonight and half of the bhaji was all over my bag and the bread was not even baked properly, I have been having issues in past where you missed a thing or so from my order or sometimes the food is extremely spicy! But this is something I have noticed more frequently from this Royal pan however I have no idea if you guys are looking to wrap up your business or have zero interest left in the quality of service you are providing! I still hope to see the improvement in near future! This use to be my fav place when it come to Indian food but you guys failed me big time! Looking forward to a better experience maybe next time.

Got samosa chaat but it was not as fresh & crispy as expected, normally I have Royal Paan in GTA & Ottawa but the quality at this location did not satisfy!

Worse food i ever had. No customer service and same as a test of food. No information on food, half of the menu was not available and the available food was test less, feels like throw my $70 for a trash food. Infact no debit credit and no bill copy available. Never ever visit this store again and not recommend anyone to put there money into this trash store.

Worst customer service, all employees were in back kitchen And food is always 20-30 delayed even after their given time.

Food was awsome, i ordered royal faluda which was stinking bad but food quality wae good. Hence a little bit gentle and kind tratment of staff would have made my visit memorable. But thats fine

Ordered from doordash and golgappa water was gross. Tasted so bad. I had to throw away the order.

Every store has opend dining and this store is still no sitting allowed. Food ok. But their online menu is not available. Like no street food.

First time visit tonight. We like East Indian food but are used to the basics from other Indian restaurants like butter chicken, naan nd tali plates. Royal Paan first of all is vegetarian only so my butter chicken craving had to be reset. We had 2 dishes pictured. Both delicious. Paneer dosa. It is huge and long and tastes like a crepe with fried cheese on it. Was excellent. The other dish was naan with chick peas and dipping sauces. Sorry I cannot remember the name even looking at their menu. Pros: food is excellent and authentic. Service was good. Restaurant clean. Prices good. Bathroom very clean. Cons: need more pictures for the customers new to authentic East Indian dishes. We ordered blind and ended up with 2 great choices. You will too.

Extremely slow service. Took forever to get the order (almost 45 minutes for Masala Dosa). Servers are highly unprofessional and no hospitality is provided.
Totally Ridiculous place to visit

A good place for authentic Indian food. My comment as follows.
Before that. About the place.location is perfect. Sufficient parking. Inside Ambient is wonderful. Pretty and nicely arranged seating. A well maintained small restaurant.

Ok. Food. First time I have tried few items. Pani puri. Taste is very Good. But quantity could be be little more for the price. Pav bhaji. Taste is great. Onion given were too less. One more pav for same price would have been great. Tried 2 paahns. Too good.
And one Kulfi. Taste and size. Good for the money.awesome. Yet to try south Indian food.
Overall. Taste is great. But little pricy. Recommended.

St. Mary’s location. Found a big piece of plastic in the aloo tikki plate. Other food was terrible too. Looked like the bare minimum effort was put to prepare the dishes

Horrible restaurant service. Ridiclous owner and staff behaviour
Today we ordered food from Royal paan Meadowood Drive thru skip. When we received order it was incomplete. We received our 60 percent order only. We called back restaurant and informed them. First of all they denied but after some time they agreed for mistake, but in mean time there owner came over phone and start shouting with us. He was so rude and loud as he deserve not to be restaurant owner as restaurant are customer service industry.
Royal paan owner told us not refund back our money and shouted like anything.
‘Really he was so rude and and his behaviour is ridiclous.
We have decided not to take food in future from such garbage place.

Awesome indian food.have tried the new noodle burger and it reminds me of back India.coming to the desert side will recommend u to try the new Gulab jamun and rabri.very fresh and reminds of Punjab.best place to hang out with friends and family.customer service is wonderfull.always welcome you with smiling faces. ️️️️️️

Not a place I would like to go again. We order dabeli and it was not ready even after we finish eating all the food so I went up to the owner and asked to cancel the order of the dabeli they argued with us and said the dabeli is being prepared and we can’t cancel the order.at the end the owner said he did cancel the dabeli and surprisingly I found that they charged me an extra dabeli on my bill. I did not wanted to argue anymore so I paid my bill of $93 and left with receipt.wasn’t pleasant experience.we loved the place before the new management.but I don’t think the place has same value and respect now.

Great place for Indian food that creates nostalgia. I'm visiting here from US and miss this kind of food. Definitely recommend the noodle burger and chhole bhathure

Do not deliver as per committed time. Staff never friendly never smiles never believes never welcomes they see customers as if the customers are here to eat free very very very poor customer service only the quality of food makes them better

EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT! Their food is phenomenal! It's vegan and Indian but oh, so authentic! Flavour, flavour, flavour! Just came back from India and it was like being right back there again! The staff were FRIENDLY, the food service was EXCELLENT and all items were served on a timely basis. Only way they could improve is to add photos to their menu as there were some items I was not familiar with but will be back to try what I haven't tried yet.

There’s a reason this franchise location has been in existence for years, while the newly opened franchise location on McPhillips in Garden City is already in trouble.

House secret dish: Chana/Chole Bhatura is made everyday in limited quantities.

Food is delicious and great. But this place is understaffed and hence slow service. I was here on Saturday and got my food literally like an hour later. Few accompanying friends left while waiting for their food.

This place is definitely worth a visit if you want to try Indian food that is not butter chicken. It's a vegetarian restaurant and has dishes from various parts of India that are hard to find at many places in Winnipeg. The dosa was great and the kulfi is to die for.

Love the various Indian street food and paans. One stop place for all different types chola bhatura, pav bhaji, dosas, kulfi, falooda etc.this location have a nice ambiance and great staff members. Very friendly and nice. Best place for vegety. I will visit again and highly recommend.

No attention to customers or their take out orders when its busy, 2 times I went in when it was busy; both times they forgot to pack something that I ordered. No wonder only certain Indians go there.
