Asked for assistance for buying a pair of skates, was helped by an associate who gave me a pair that later burned the outside of my ankle. I used em for 20 mins and asked if could exchange or return but the manager offered me nothing saying they wouldn’t take them back even if I wanted to buy more expensive/better skates. Terrible service would not recommend coming here.

Do NOT go here if you need anything soccer-related. Terrible awful service. Went in last night to get my son soccer cleats for wide feet. Was very specific. The employee working in the soccer cleat section knew we needed WIDE cleats for his feet as I specifically told him what we need. He sold us the wrong ones which felt ok at the time and the employee specifically said these were for wide feet and would stretch over time.
My son tried to play his game today and could barely run in them. All the parents at the game were stunned by the cleats sold by Royal Sports and offered support by suggesting other better businesses to shop at.
We went straight back to Royal Sports following the game and they refused to exchange them. The employee working in the soccer section today was very knowledgeable as they should be as the owner of Royal Sports should ensure they have the right employees working in the right section. The employee today told us he NEVER would have sold us the cleats sold to us last night as they are VERY NARROW. No laces on the bad cleats so they appeared to be flexible to us, however, the whole purpose of going to this business for cleats was because THEY are the ones the public would expect to be knowledgeable and help customers find what they need. Now we have the correct wide foot cleats which SHOULD HAVE BEEN SOLD TO US LAST NIGHT! And we are out $130.00 with a useless pair of brand new cleats that the store refuses to allow us to return DUE TO THE BUSINESS OWNER's lack of business savvy to have their employees working in the correct section when helping customers. Do not go here unless you want to be out of pocket for having been sold bad product even when you specifically request help for what you are looking for. The one star is for the employee we had today who was in the correct section and very knowledgeable about soccer cleats. But that does not help us get the money back we paid for useless cleats last night. I highly recommend that you save yourself a trip and money in your wallet and go elsewhere for any soccer equipment.

Massive selection, very helpful and friendly staff. I specifically went looking for running shoes and they had a wide range at better-than-online pricing.

Reason for 4 star instead of 5:
The parking lot is a pothole nightmare, and ultimately they didn't have my shoe size in the shoes I wished to purchase.

Excellent service I'm an old man and I haven't bought a hockey stick in 20 years on January 18th 2023 at 8: 30 p.m. I went for a skate sharpening and to buy a modern hockey stick I had no idea how how to look for a hockey stick the last time I bought one it was a wood got immediately help had a great price I got to try to stick out I got advice on the curve on the LIE on the length and on the stiffness and in just a few minutes I was going out the door with a brand new hockey stick good service great people there

Best place to shop for all your sporting needs. Went to shop for snowboard boots, the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and really helpful. Prices are unbeatable, walked out with a helmet as well which was on sale.

We were incredibly pleased with the customer service we received from Steven, yesterday. His product knowledge and professionalism were top notch. He helped both myself and my four year old choose the best size, and style of skates and took the time to make sure we left happy with our well informed decision. They're return policy isn't good. They would only give me a store credit for a return. They are only interested in taking your money and not interested in customer service. Usually go to Keystone but was in wpg so I thought I would try them. That was a mistake.

I went there with my 14 year old son in search of men’s size 11 soccer cleats and had an excellent experience. There were loads of staff and when we found the soccer room we were blown away by all the selection on offer. The staff brought out six pairs and kindly didn’t hover but returned at regular intervals and then offered some excellent advice towards the end. It was clear they had pride in their section of the store and the products they carried. We will definitely be back to grab some of what must be the best jersey selection in town amidst all the other gear. If you can’t find what you need at this place then you don’t know what you’re looking for. Highly recommended.

Came here from Thunder Bay looking for the newest Bauer goal skate, had great customer service from the time I phoned until the time they were paid for and sharpened. Highly recommend stopping here if you need goalie equipment, lots of options.thanks I'm sure we'll be back

I will never shop at Royal Sports again. They have the worst customer service! I went to buy my son some new soccer cleats and waited 45 minutes to just get them to get me a size. The only cleats they had in his size was the display model that literally had the price tag hanging right below the shoe. $79.95. When we got the box it was tagged $120.00. The tag listed both the Brand Adidas and the model Predator, which were the shoes we had. When we went to pay for them they said the tag on the shelf was for a different shoes and refused to honor the price. I asked them to produce the shoe listed on the tag and they said they didn't have it. Ridiculous

Always has a very large selection of (I'm pretty sure) every type of sports supplies/equipment you need along with casual wear & items.

Great store for everything sports related. We went today in search of ski goggles- someone had recommended that we go there - as the selection of ski goggles was extensive. We found this to be absolutely true. Over 5 different brands from Oakley to Electric to Vonzipper - over 30 different goggles to choose from. Some of them came with 2 lenses that could be switched out - depending on if it was a sunny or a cloudy day. Staff were very helpful in answering any questions and showing us the options without any pressure to try and sell us the expensive ones. We greatly appreciated the staff's overall helpfulness in assisting us to find the right pairs for us. This store is very large - includes, skating/hockey equipment, snowboarding and skiing equipment, bikes, skateboards, shoes and all types of clothing and accessories related to sports. Would definitely recommend this store to anyone looking for sports equipment. We will definitely go back to this store.

Just to inform consumers buying skates from Royal Sports. They will not honor any defect return policy. I purchased a new pair of Bauer Supreme S3 skates on January 11 2022. It is now January 28 2022.18 days I have owned a pair of $500 dollar skates. Brought them in today with concerns over a loose blade holder and loose rivets. The reason I discovered this was because when I walk on them they will make creaking noise and when I skate they have a wobble in the right skate. They said we cannot exchange based on noise. I said its noise and the skate wobbles. I skate 2-3 times a week and now I apparently need to wait to see what Bauer warranty will want to do. I felt bad for the kid helping me because he was having to communicate with me through the owner who apparently thinks dealing with a customer is below him. So now I have a $500 skate that I cannot use only 18days used. Most other stores would have done an exchange.not Royal. Not this store owner.
I would definitely not recommend buying skates from this local business. Apparently local support means very little anymore and big box is king. I don't think this would have happened at Pro Hockey.

Terrible.i can see some employees are good hardworking people but the management is terrible.ignoring the employees or not caring.i’ve come by multiple times where older men (owners?) have been unprofessionally speaking out loud bad mouthing employees or customers.they sound drunk sometimes too.

Great shopping experience. Fantastic customer service. Great product as well. Would recommend to anyone looking for sports equipment! When I walked through the door I was immediately asked what I was looking for and if I needed assistance. I was there to get some out of season equipment and the employees were happy to get it out for me. Keep up the good work guys!

We’ve been going to this store for years for different sporting equipment, but it was my first time shopping for a good quality bike. Keaston in the bike section right away made us feel at ease, asking the right questions, give us a few suggestions to try out. He was very knowledgeable and we never felt pressured to buy. Love my new bike! Thank you Keaston and Royal Sports for the excellent customer service.

These guys are always spot on. Needed a uniquely large helmet and they had one. Not to forget that a little more than 15yrs ago they were able to outfit me, my wife and our respective families (benches) with are wedding jerseys in a short time span at a decent price. Excellent store to find your items for almost any sport, you can find soccer balls, hockey sticks, jerseys and much more, the location is on a very popular street.

The new way of shopping! Send them an instagram message and they will help find what you are looking for. I told them I wanted a UA long sleeve shirt. They showed me compression shirts which really wasn't what I wanted but then they kept sending me alternative posts with pictures of different shirts and found exactly what I wanted. Very helpful. Thanks for the wonderful service, but can't wait until we get back to normal.

Went here close to their closing time to pick up some new skates. I'm from out of town so for me to make it during the day is very difficult with work and scheduling etc. But I was helped out promptly on the phone when I called to confirm that stock was available and they also offered to hold the item for me. I arrived at the store at 7: 25, when the close at 8pm. While my skates were being baked (about a 10min process) I was sitting patiently waiting and 4 seperate employees asked at different times if I was being assisted. Normally I'd expect to be ignored at that time of night and that close to closing time. But the staff member who assisted me was excellent, knowledgeable and friendly. Thanks Royal Sports. Definitely recommend giving them a shot over other places!

Huge selection of Vans shoes on the wall, issue is they NEVER have sizes in stock. I have been there 4 times over the past two months, and have requested sizes for approximately 10 different shoes/colors, and they never have anything remotely near my size (10.5). So bloody disappointing, it's like a bait and switch almost, and you can't request an order in or get any idea as to when stock is re-filled.

My favourite place in town to get a new pair of Vans or supplies for my board. The employees are awesome too!

Great selection, the guy sitting at the front table with the hand sanitizer was a bit rude. Aug, 3,2020 around 11: 30am.

The skateboard and hockey sections are well stocked with knowledgable staff. The bike section has never come up to speed. I phoned to ask about purchasing a groupset ($700 sale). I had to speak to 4 people before anyone knew what I was talking about. Then they said they were sold out. So I asked how much is it, and how long to special order? They said, we can't do that. Absolutely pathetic.

If you here to buy equipment/clothes it is good (slightly pricey). If you want a decent skate sharpening, do NOT go here. They have botched my skates multiple times, I thought it may have just been the employee I had gotten at the time but it has happened more than once. Employees are just kids and i dont know if they are taught properly.
