Slow, but good! Took 28 minutes to get the Grande breakfast special, but the pancakes were large as well as the toast. Best price for the Grande breakfast special at $8.77 before 10: 30AM. Includes 2 eggs, 2 sausage or bacon, cubed or shredded hash browns, 2 toast and 2 pancakes. It's a couple dollars less for the regular special which does not come with pancakes. The St. Anne's at Fermor location is probably the best location n the city that I have seen so far. You typically get your breakfast within 5-10 minutes.

Food was a long time coming, and then my whole group got food and I didn't. They forgot my order and I had to reorder. Staff were very kind though.

My friends and I went for breakfast today and had such a great time! The food was delish, our server was so friendly with a great sense of humor, and we met the sweetest lady on our way out. 10/10 food, vibes, staff & patrons

Fast, Friendly, and Flavorful. Need I say morel. I had the breakfast special. You are paying way too much otherwise if you are not having some type of special during breakfast or during lunch/supper. Prices have really skyrocketed at Sals in the past couple of years, and yet they are closing restaurants down or not renovating restaurants that are in need of renovation.

Great place! I’ve only been for breakfast but their breakfast is amazing!
Nicole is an incredible server, she takes great care of my grandmother and her friends every week.
Highly recommend checking this place out if you’re in the area.

Food was arrived hot tasty, excellent quality for your service was outstanding. This is the best place to have breakfast any time will be coming back.

It's a hit and miss experience with Sals,
don't get me wrong I love the place.

Just the service can be weather dependent.

Whenever I'm in town I take my mom out here for breakfast, doesn't matter how many times we come, or who we get sat with, the food generally has something wrong with it.

Sometimes you're missing something, sometimes it's cooked wrong or you have something different all together.

The quality of the product is always good, great taste I'll say that, and the Coffee is fantastic.

Unbelievable friendly courteous staff and the hot cinnamon rolls were delicious to say the least. Well worth stopping to dine or just to get a coffee with the buns above.

Good sized portions and food came hot and full of flavor. Only weird thing was the side salad was soggy

Very disappointed today. Sent my eggs back twice for being way over cooked. Canceled my order. Was not a good experience. They weren't even close.

Thought it would be a nice different Sals. WRONG. Horrible service, and waited for an hour nearly for ANY food. The manager refused to make an effort to do anything about the very slow kitchen staff! I still rather go to the Leila or Stafford locations; even the Portage Ave one is better!

Every single time I come to this particular Sal's it takes more than half an hour to get our food if we're not also waiting half an hour or more for any of the servers to even take our order. The worst was waiting nearly an hour to even get acknowledged, nearly an hour and a half to get our food. Food is okay for the price you pay. So if you have the extra time in your day for cheap eats, by all means, this is the place for you.

DONT GO HERE. Been an hour so far for food. Saw 4 groups of people walk out from waiting too long. Why they keep taking people in when they can’t serve them is beyond me. I’m a regular customer of Sals but I’ll never come to this location again.

As always, excellent service and great food. We usually order their Nip platters, but had their Premium Clubs today: real turkey breast, perfectly cooked bacon, fresh lettuce and tomato, and cheddar on thick slices of fresh toasted bread with fries and coleslaw.the way a club should be made.

Most Winnipeg residents have a favorite from Salisbury House. Mine is Salisbury steak. Good comfort food, always but especially on a cold winter's day

Experienced poor service as there were long waits for a server when we initially sat down, and to place our order, as well as the long wait to get our bill.

Server did not check in to see how the food was.

Eggs were not cooked as ordered, and portions were small for price paid.

I do not recommend this restaurant based on my experience.

I will definitely not be back, we were cramped into a table where we couldn't push our chairs out without hitting the people behind us. We asked to be moved to an open booth that was literally 5 ft away from where we were sitting and we were told that it will make things confusing considering we already put our order in. From the time we ordered it was at least an hour before we received our food.
We witnessed a few tables just walking out before their food came.

Good service was busy and still got good service serving personal are all nice food is traditional to salsa good any time!

EDIT: The reason I mentioned the cozy atmosphere is because I have been visiting this location since the mid 80's, even tho this meal was delivered.

I recently discovered Salisbury house. I knew it was always there but got sucked into the stigma of not very good food and basically only a place for old people to eat.how wrong was I.well definitely wrong on the quality. One of my new favourite places to grab a burger. In particular the Grand gourmet nip is very good lots of flavour.a little messy but that just adds to the joy. My wife normally takes the quesadilla and really enjoys that to. So thumbs up for Salisbury house.

Met with a friend for breakfast and conversation. The food was good and the service was pretty good considering how busy it was.

This was my first time at the new location and it definitely had Perkins vibes (previous restaurant in the space). The place was much larger than previous location and cleaner. Staff was very nice and service was great. The food still tasted exactly the same with huge portions and decent prices. One small change noted was the size of the soda. It was huge and definitely would not require one to order a refill.

Very slow service, took over an hour to get our meals, numerous tables left while we were there, before their food had arrived, stating they couldn't wait any longer for their meals. Our orders were mixed up, with wrong style eggs in two out of five dishes.

Did not sit in the restaurant as I was there for take out.

I ordered breakfast to go this morning. I was excited because the smell was so good. I was disappointed to find out it was pretty undercooked.the eggs and sausages. I ate it anyway because I was starving, but now I don't feel very well. I hope I don't get food poisoning

3 cheese nip with grilled onions fries and gravy. Burgers are juicy and delicious. The grilled onions are a must, if you're into onions! Generous portion of fries. Above average fries as well. Gravy was good. The big thing here is the burgers though.

Serviceable brunch with my Mother, who frequents this location often. Really nice staff and management.

Great food and service. Both the Nip platter and the Premium Club sandwich were made to perfection. The young lady (Maisy?) serving us was amazingly attentive and very patient with my elderly mother.

I had no idea how cheap it was to eat on a Tuesday at Salisbury House! Great menu, awesome service! It wasn't loud either, so could sit down and enjoy a conversation with our meal. Would have given a 5 because the grilled cheese sandwich had more bread than cheese. Was disappointed by that.: - (Overall, great place to go.

2nd time being at this location.this location is problematic.
Yesterday my family and I went to this location ; I asked to sit in the far dining room, and the waitress lied to me saying they weren't sitting people in there.after I sit down I see people are being seated in there. I don't know why she lied to me.

Anyway we also ordered 2 fries & gravies & kids meals we waited over 50 minutes in the restaurant starving before we left the restaurant and ate somewhere else. I'm so disappointed!

Such a horrible experience.

When you get the Tuesday deal they only give you half the amount of fries, what a rip off. They also constantly burn the burgers.

Terrible service and portions are way less then they used to be. Worst of a they are still doing dine in with all that's going on what irresponsible ownership putting everyone at risk!

The silver hamburger platter was a dry meat Pattie, the fried onions which were greasy was slapped on the pattie on the one end. The fries were dark and dry. Coffee was good. The servicer was quiet and gave a refill (1/4) when she brought the meal but that was the last we saw of her. No other staff checked on our table or offered more coffee.which I desperately needed because my meal was so dry.

Love the pie. Good variety of meals for breakfast or dinner. Many meals come with toast which I find is a nice touch.

Was visiting Winnipeg and heading over to Salisbury house was a real treat. Very much enjoyed breakfast and especially the coffee. Glad to see they are still surviving against the fast food giants

I went for a breakfast about 11: 00 am and got a seat within 5 minutes, I was alone. After 15 minutes someone took my order and brought me my tea. It was busy with a few folks waiting for tables. I starting reading the Free Press while waiting for my food and lost track of time. Then I realized tables around me all had new people with their food. At 12: 35 pm, a group who were sitting behind me were complaining they already waited almost 1 hour. Looking over I realized the gentlemen that were sitting behind me are gone. I can not believe I had to wait that long and my breakfast was still nowhere in site! I didn't even get my tea topped up! I complained and the poor waitress was just beside herself with others who also were waging complaints for errors to their receipts. If anything they should have handed out free meal vouchers for the next visit.if the patron even decides to come back. I was in food service for many years and there is nothing they can tell me to justify wasting my day. No manager in site that I could tell. Very very disappointed. I was expecting better with the move.

Good food, but they are under staffed and wait times are long. Waited from 51 minutes for our order to arrive after ordering. Kathy was friendly but covering too many tables and was by only twice with coffee in two hours.

You would think that Sale could produce a delicious nip fairly quickly. On February 15th, it took 1 hour and 10 minutes to get a Nip plate with a burger that was overcooked to the point of being burnt, not juicy and no flavor. I'm a Sales fan but the kitchen operation in this new location needs a lot of help. Serving staff were good.

I've been to almost all the Sals in the city and this is one of my faves. Still the same great taste after they moved to the new location, and more space.

I was at the new Sals on HendersonHwy, Friday evening. I always used to like going to Sals but the last 2 times I've been the meal has been poor.
I had the meatloaf today;- the vegetables were greasy and burnt and the mashed potatoes were lumpy and dry. All in all, a very unappetizing meal.

Nice new location, great service. I typically go for breakfast but had lunch and the burger was awesome as always.

Will not go there again. Food was Ok but we were a party of seven and half the food was only luke warm and we waited for it for a good hour. Would not have minded the wait if my grandson did not have to go to work. We were there to support each other as it was the anniversary of the passing of the head of our family so we didn't need the stress.

Today we went to get breakfast on Henderson on our way to an important appointment. Our server introduced herself explaining she was new. She was very nice and tried to do her best. She came to our table asking questions 3 different times. Not a problem. After approximately 15 minutes I could tell she was having trouble entering the information on the system. Approximately 10 minutes later she came and said it would be awhile to get our order as they were very busy. I told her we could no longer wait so I went up to the front to pay for the one coffee and her trainer came up to me rudely saying you can`t expect to come in here getting your food in 10 minutes. I told her we waited 25 minutes which she quickly dismissed. I called Kathy`s supervisor only to be told she wasn`t available. I called H. O. ONLY TO RECEIVE VOICE MESSAGES. I have been going to Salisbury House for 50 years. Kathy has been there for years. Maybe too many. This place has really gone downhill.

Went for dinner at the new location yesterday with my husband. Everything was fine at first, waitress took our drink and food orders. We waited and waited and noticed people coming in after us were getting their food before us. She barely came around to our area either to check up on us so we didn’t know what was going on. She finally comes around so we ask how long it would be and she said she would go check. More time goes by so I go up to the counter to ask again how long it would be and she tells us she put the food order in but apparently the cooks forgot to make it? Okay so we’ve been sitting here for over 30 minutes and you’re just figuring this out now? ! Finally they bring us the food and the manager offers only 50% off the meals. We said no we’re not paying for this the service was less than mediocre and we’ve been waiting for 45 minutes without eating. He agrees. Sals has really gone down with their service, I used to work there years ago and it was always the happening place with excellent servers. Now it just seems like nobody cares at all.

There was a fly in there during the middle of winter. That fly would have had to been born in there. Let that sink in.

At the new location which has Friendly staff, nice and new restaurant and food was served piping hot. A definite 5 star tonight.

Long wait times, hair in my food, dirty cutlery. Husband's food was not even warm, never mind hot. Son's food super greasy. Toast was burnt. Coffee refill took about 40 minutes at which time cream was not refilled so had to wait for that. Very disappointed. We won't be going back. This is a new location. Hopefully things improve.

The food is good, the prices are slightly higher, but reasonable. The wait at the door (depending when your arrive) isn't that bad, but.bring along your conversation topic card, as it is a long wait for the food from order-to-serve. Perhaps because it's a new place and the system needs to work out the kinks. Nice, bright new place after the previous chain.

We waited over an hour from the moment we ordered to when we got the food. The fries were half cooked and soggy. Our waitress didnt come by once to check in or ask if we'd like refills. The cutlery was dirty. All three of us felt sick afterwards.

The wait staff was really impolite. I overheard 4 other tables complaining about the wait times, and how the staff was nowhere to be found. Despite hearing a waitress say they were understaffed, I counted roughly 5 or 6 staff members serving tables.

Not the worst dining experience ever, but I would not go again.

I had to ask a waitress to clean up a table after waiting 5 minutes. The waitress went home, and told us someone else would serve us, this never happened. I had to ask staff member to hand me foil to take my other burger home. The so called supervisor gave me an attitude when I mentioned the poor service. A great new Sal's but with a poor service staff and worse supervisor, why bother to come back? Smitty's is right down the street would have never treated my like that in 30 years!

Pretty expensive for what it was, really for 2 people cost 40 dollars for breakfast, I had three eggs over easy one was over hard, I told the manager that it wasn't up to par for the price paid she answered mistakes happen I shoulda sent my plate back, I answered I shoulda never went out of the kitchen where are your standards? She said I shoulda sent it back mistakes happen. Truly disappointed in her lack of care, professionalism

Worst experience of my life, an hour and a half to get food, 6 tables of people walked out, when we finally got our food, chicken fingers way over cooked, rock hard.some of our fries were raw some were way over cooked, i actually had a piece of burnt charcoal on my plate, 4 tables of ppl left in the whole place ppl were walking in for coffee, took them 25 minutes to pour a few cups of coffee. Yes I watched because of our experience. DON'T EAT HERE>WORST RESTAURANT EVER! MINUS 100 STAR RATING. NEW LOCATION ON HENDERSON HIGHWAY (TOOK OVER THE OLD PERKINS) AND WE STILL HAD TO PAY FOR THIS GARBAGE THEY CALL FOOD! WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN ANOTHER SALISBURY HOUSE!

The only dig I have on this place is that the food too a really long time to come out. The other tables were commenting on it too. The food, however, was good.

Amazing food. Customers are able to purchase raw ingredients from the restaurant also, allowing you to recreate your favourite meals from home. The classic menu items are the best, i am not the biggest fan of the newer adaptations.
An iconic piece of Winnipeg’s history/heritage also. A must-visit for out of towners.

It's a Winnipeg institution (so I'm told!) I just recently moved to Winnipeg but I've eaten at a couple different Sal's locations so far. I really liked this one on Henderson Highway. It's not the newest decor, but the staff are really friendly and the food is, of course, fantastic. This location really feels like an old school diner. I personally find it charming, but I also like old school places like this. Check it out if you're in the area.

The prices were high. They once were reasonable. The food was okay, nothing special. Not all Salisbury are the same. I've had great food other places.
