It was okay. Burger wasn't anything special. Fries are hot and crispy. Chicken fingers could use a little seasoning. Don't know if we'll be back.

I'm just going to get this off of my chest first as I sit in my car in the parking lot. There were 4 of us that ordered almost $60 of food for dinner and sat to eat at the picnic tables (which need some attention). 32C night and beautiful to sit outside. We finished just before 8: 00 and went to stand in line to order ice cream for dessert behind 2 other couples. 8: 00 comes and the woman behind tells us all that it's now 8: 00pm, she's closed, will not serve us, and tells us to come tomorrow. I asked for clarity that she was not going to serve any of us even though we had been waiting in line for a while. She claimed that she thought we were waiting for orders and that she is closes at 8: 00pm sharp, puts the closed sign in the window and closes up.right in front of us all standing there waiting to order. SUPER RUDE! I will call next week to speak with the owner and if she was it, there's no way I'll ever come back. On the food side, the French fries are packaged but were good. The perogies were good. The Big Boy hamburger was a hot mess. Mediocre meat patty that was rubbery with no flavour. The chili seemed to barely have hit the inside of the burger and was mostly spread around inside the packaging. Until the ice cream incident, our experience had been okay other than the quality of the hamburgers.

Very disappointed in the cheap frozen patties that appears to be new this year, do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.

Edit- seriously it was that bad. Fast food is better quality

Edit - tried a frosty (?) Very good! Glad that didn’t change. Moving from 1 to 3 stars.
Generous with the toppings too.
Quick tip, avoid the burgers.

Major drop off after the fire. Burger pattys are clearly store-bought rather than handmade, as are the fries. Not what it used to be. Avoid.

You want cardboard patties? Go here. Used to have good food. Won't support cheap food like this any more

I went there the building looks pre black all the foods burnt same with the building so idk man.ik but saltys is no longer it did get burned down Winnipeg beach

Amazing burgers and fries not stingy with the bacon either. Would highly recommend. The burgers are so tasty and the fries are amazing as well. The gravy is so yummy

Was a bit turned off when they refused to take debit after I stood in line for 20 minutes to order. The food was apparently good though

Told me I had to wait 45 minutes for chicken And the chicken burger was dry and poutine was gross. Disappointed

I know that people rave about this place but I wasn't thrilled with it. I went to take the kids for supper & as I'm standing in front of the window looking at the menu, they closed the window! So I walk over to the other window & ask if I can order burgers & fries for the kids, she says "that side is closed now"! So I ask "what CAN I order" & she points to the ice cream menu above! So I ordered 3 vanilla soft ice cream cones for my boys & I. I wasn't impressed at all with the soft ice cream. It tasted more like ice milk than soft ice cream. The staff were not very friendly at all either. It was my 1st time there & I can honestly say that I won't be going back. The ONE thing that I really liked about it is I asked if I could get a baby sized cone for my Jersey & she said that they sell cones for dogs! I got a nice vanilla cone for her & they even put a doggie biscuit on it! So after I paid she gave me 2 cones plus the doggie cone for Jersey & I said "I ordered 3 regular cones & the doggie cone". She proceeds to tell me that I only ordered 2 cones & the doggie cone ‍️‍️ WRONG! I KNOW what I ordered! So she finally stops arguing with me & rings up another cone. I was a bit surprised that after all that, she charged me for the cone but whatever. I guess $3 is still $3 right lol

Service is strange not being able to pay for food and ice cream at one window however screwed up that was with frustrated people leaving without ordering.

Was looking forward to trying the food here however they don't take credit cards. In this day and age that is not acceptable. You have the option of having customer pay fee.
