Very tasty dishes. No dim sum steam carts, but table service. Generous portions. Lots of light through the large windows.

Really fast service, good prices and good dim sum. Also quite accommodating for allergies which is appreciated.

Always a great dinner experience and would always come back here whenever we are craving for dim sum. Food tastes great and my son really likes their wonton soup.

Very tasty dimsums! And service was also good. It was a bit dirty on the table and on the floor. But food is delicious.

R. I. P. Noodle Express, long live Sam Po Dim Sum. I miss the old staff at Noodle Express, but all the same familiar food is here, menu and all. I feel like too many people are sleeping on this place. I personally don't care that much about customer service at a restaurant - as long as the food is good and it gets to my table in a timely manner, that is what matters the most to me. That said, I see other reviewers complaining about the service, but I haven't had poor or rude service here. Their most unique items I haven't found anywhere else: deep fried sticky rice, seafood dumplings, curry beef perogies, beef balls, pan-fried pork dumplings, beef rice rolls, golden dumpling buns, and their in-house hot sauce.

Horrible customer service. People who work there dont know how to smile. Had an issue with the machine we were charged twice. We told the cashier and showed the online banking but still insisted she's right and she cant give us the refund. Communication is difficult to understand.

Extremely unpleasant customer service. Given a wrong order and charged twice. MAY the cashier need a better training how to serve well. I asked for the owner and she said the owner cant speak English. I dont know if she is lying. But the food we ordered was Undercook pork dumplings. The parking very limited, stinky washroom no paper towel provided, dirty dishes especially the glass. The debit/credit machine need to be updated. If you want cheap food but terrible customer service that is what you will get from them. We are Not going back or order to this restaurant again.

Its what youd want out of a dim sum restaurant. Its by no means Michelin Star but its cost effective and lots of flavor.

Not impressed by dimsum experience at all… Im giving it a 3.5 stars, but in trying to be nice here.

Service was extremely slow and seemed very disorganized. One dish every 10 minutes arrived, so we couldn't get a decent picture of our food if we wanted to enjoy them still warm.

The shrimp ricerolls need improvement. The rolls were mushy and rough, when they should be slippery to slurp. Also, I could barely taste the tiny shrimps in there.

Serving oyster sauce to dip with kailan instead of hoisin is a mistake…

Other items were alright for the price I guess.

Went to sampo dim sum this morning and it was not really good. The shrimp rolls were very bad, the fried calamari were just a lot of fried batter…the only thing that was good was the beef balls and the pea tips in garlic. Turnip cake was mushy and the eggplant was also not so good… I wouldn’t go again I prefer by far Kumkoon…
It was also so silent with zero ambiance and the service was also bad and you have to order with a menu for dim sum.

Delicious. Service is 50-50, when you ask for something, this specific server will cut you off and leave lol

Best dim sum in the city. Some issues with ordering occasionally, due to language, but they respond well to mistakes and rectify them!

Impromptu first time visit. 8: 10 pm Saturday night, and the place was quite busy. Impression of the restaurant space was that it looked clean and spacious. Ordered Singapore noodles. Went back in at 8: 25 and my order was ready. $20. Tasty, but not spicy enough for my liking (they didn't ask spice level.don't know if that's an option). Shrimp and pork and veg isn't overly abundant but satisfactory. Everything tastes fresh. The flavour is good. I will try other dishes in future. 3.5 stars for VALUE (a bit pricey/mostly noodles.

I went here last night for Valentines Dinner.they have daily specials but the cashier atill charged me the regular price! They also charged me $3 for the hot tea lol!

just a reminder, always check your bill before you pay.the cashier he just gave the total of yout bill and he doesn’t give the the paper showing what you ordered! They put extra tab on the total
bill!

Food here is good. But its the service is what really brings down the quality of dining. They don’t check up on you, and when they come around, while you speak to them, they don’t even stop walking as you’re speaking to them. They can get pretty rude and we end up sitting here forever because it takes so long to get their attention. It makes coming here not as enjoyable. I also did not get my mango pudding lol.

Placed an order with Noodle Express from Sam Po's website which stated their address was on Rupert for pick up at 8pm. They said it'd be ready in 20 mins and I arrived at 8: 15pm.
I was 'helped' pretty fast as I was asked what I needed and I told them I had a pick up order and I provided my number. She went off to the kitchen and never returned and continued with serving other customers which I assumed they were getting my food ready.
I waited for 35MINUTES from 8: 15 to 8: 50 when it was originally suppose to be done at 8: 20! No one else came up to me to give me an update on my food so I went up to a lady to ask when it'll be done.she walked away and came back saying they stopped taking take out orders at 6PM and that it was probably at their other restaurant (Noodle Express) across the street!
WHY was I not told any of this info while I was waiting for 35 minutes? Or
Wasted my time and they were unapologetic!

Just OK. Food quality was passable but nothing special. Service was quite slow, took 50 minutes before I got my first piece of food and the restaurant wasn't even that busy. If you're looking for food, this is food. But I'm sure there is better out there.

Going out for dinner here tonight with a friend and I've been numerous times already. The food is amazing. Tried tripe, i recommend that one. Was there again tonight with friends and still amazing food and an amazing price.

The pan fried pork dumplings with the red vinegar is the bomb. Actually everything is. Spring rolls, steamed pork buns, golden dumplings. Tasty.

Most items and hot sauce taste like rusty water pipes. I was impressed with the genius electrical wire on the tea pots.

There were full but no one tell us, No one care and no one wanna serve us. I guess we are Asian. We waited 10 minutes and we got told no seats. GG

This restaurant looks cleaner compared to other restaurants nearby. It's just hard to find a parking spot especially because it's on downtown. This place also gets jam-packed most of the time so make sure to make reservations.

Not my favourite place to go to for dim sum by any means. Service was okay - took a while to get refill on water. But the missing 2 stars mainly comes from the food. Some of the food tastes strange and pungent compared to similar types of dishes at other dim sum restaurants. The quality of the food is sometimes also wanting - for example, rubbery squid.

Tried this for the first time and it was delicious. Food quality and taste was exceptional. I would definitely recommend this place.

Food could of been better BUT! Our server was rude and she thought we couldn't understand what she was saying, when we mentioned that our pork dumplings were a little under cooked she got all defensive said that you ate already but the one we ate was still very pink when checking another piece it was more red than pink, I know how dumplings look when cooked properly as I cook dumplings all the time and I have never come across this problem at any other restaurant, but being told I shouldn't of ordered that item and that I shouldn't come back among other words I can't post, I don't know if the lady was having a bad day or brought her problems to work! Still made me pay for the under cooked dumplings I wouldn't recommend going here people

Great dim sum. Lots of choices in their menu. Can be a wait for seating but service is quick and always delicious. Parking can be a challenge.

The food was very good with the exception of the squid. They forgot to serve two of our dishes and a long time between receiving dishes. Quite disappointed.

It was delicious! Hot and fresh when they brought it to the table! So tasty! The prices were amazing! Less than $30 for 2 for dinner! We will definitely be going again!

Sam Po Dim Sum serves up really good dim sum. Service is usually quick and friendly. Very good price for what you get.

Food was delicious and cheap. Went with a large group and split the bill. Ended up only being $20/person. The servers don’t come to your table that often so sometimes you have to flag them down, but it seems as though that’s what they were expecting. Just be aware that if you want to order more or get something else just flag any server down and they will assist!

Nasty and very rude short hair lady in the front. Not coming back here. Disgusting restaurant. She wont offer a chopstick after i asked her. Then I called after to find out if there is any. The lady who answered said yes they have it. Not recommend this restaurant.

Pretty good, sticky rice was the highlight, but the Vietnamese rolls are not the fresh rolls pictured on the menu- they are fried and only filled with meat

This is the only place for dim sum in Winnipeg the food if amazing and the service is Friendly.

Located in the heart of Winnipeg China Town. This dim sum joint is rather popular for many locals. Happy hour starts at 2pm. But, don't limit yourself to just the dim sum items. The full menu has alot to offer. I've posted pictures of a few items off the menu that I enjoyed

Good food but they are not following covid protocols. 0 covid/vaccination screening for guests you just write your name down and that’s it.

The best dim sum in Winnipeg! Their happy hour menu is fantastic. Lots of seating. Highly recommend the Chinese perogies, pork dumplings, seafood dumplings, baked BBQ pork buns, sticky rice, BBQ pork rice roll, deep fried shrimp dumplings.

Enjoyed the Sesame Ball, Shark Fin Pork Dumplings, Shrimp and Coriander Dumplings, Sticky Rice, Baked BBQ Pork Buns and Pork Dumplings. Would recommend this restaurant and plan on ordering from here again.

Best dim sum in the city. I literally drove from the other end of the city to pick it up took an hour there and back and each bite was well worth it.

Ordered Shrimp congee and was delighted with the flavor of the dish. Treat yourself to something delicious by trying this dish!

Food is normally great here.
The bathrooms need to be cleaned. They do not have hot/warm water to wash your hands with (only ice cold)
Staff is very friendly.

Food orders can be missed (dinning in & takeout orders)
We advise the staff and they bring it out or add it to our next order.

Food is really good! It's just so hard to park because they have a small parking lot and knowing that the location is downtown.

I went here with my family last weekend, and we can be verrrry indecisive. Very patient staff, I'm so appreciative of that. Pineapple buns are my favourite

After seeing so many recommendation from people on the review and hotel staff, I decided to try it out. So far the best Dim Sum restaurant I've ever visited. Went there with my mother. Not so quick service, but friendly staff. Although, I think they need to hire more front of house staff and be more attentive.
Will be back in the future if visiting Winnipeg for Dim Sum.

Great local Dimsum place. Highly recommend the deep fried shrimp rolls. Also like their soups. Their seafood soup is very chunky nice for a comfy stay at home type day. I also like their crab meat Fishmaw soup. Its like corn soup but with seafood in it.

Your food is so good. Every week I'm eating there. I invite my friends to go there to taste your food.

We were in Winnipeg for three days and ate there twice. The siu mai were some of the tastiest I've ever had. They had a great chewy/meaty texture. We also liked a green pepper dish with shrimp on it. Had some very good pea shoots which were on special. Prices were good. Service was fine. Not crazy about the layers of plastic throw-away table cloths they used-have you ever seen these in any place other than a Chinese restaurant? The second time we were there it was filled with Chinese families which is always a good sign.

Try their delicious seafood dumplings with egg noodles in soup. Very satisfying. Slurp and burp to your heart's content.

Always have great experiences. And if there is a dish that’s not served but they can make it, they will. Always good to know their always opened 365 days a year and open fairly late for business. Parking a bust on weekdays but during summer is a short walk in downtown area.

The restaurant seemed to be understaffed, but it was very busy and the staff was friendly but not very engaging. Food was served hot but had to wait over 30 minutes for one dish, but really wasn't a big deal. Price was very fair considering the quality and quantity of food; would definitely recommend.

It has been some time since I had visited Sampo for a meal so what better way is through dimsum. Because the have 2 levels in the restaurant, they do not come around with the dimsum carts. You need to order via their menu form. Their baked BBQ pork buns are tasty and the dough has a nice chewy texture. Their pork dumplings are also good but no different from other dimsum locations. The har how was a bit on the bland side but worked well with the hot chili sauce. The decor of the place was very bright and seemed to be well maintained. The strange thing we did notice was that it was unusually quiet especially in a Chinese Dimsum restaurant. We were so use to such loud conversations at most dimsum places it felt like being in a library here. Nonetheless, we found the food good, the service was quick, our food came out in a nice timely manner and it came out hot. I would recommend going.

I love dimsum in general. I frequently visit this place withing their 'Happy Hour'. You can get a variety of dimsum for as low as $3.99. The place is pretty decent but the service is slow.

Took my family here for dinner. Dim sum dishes were brought out one at a time and strechted out to 2 hours. They forgot 4 dishes out of the 12 we ordered, and when I asked the manager about the remaining dishes, he said that if I wanted to cancel them? So I did. Who knows, it would of been another hour just for the 4 dishes. I will also cancel from coming back to this place. Service is absolutely horrible. Never going here again.

Very good food great service and awesomely priced. Three big eaters left full for 50 bucks all in.

I went on a Thursday afternoon. Place was busy. Service was fast and courteous. Food was delicious and the price was more than fair.
