It's a very beautiful place with very few visitors. So if you love peace and quiet, this is the place.

Very beautiful. Quickest way to get there is to take a sea plane from Vancouver to Montreal. Rent a car in Montreal and drive to Thompson Manitoba. Only a quick 2-3hr snowshoe from Thompson. Good for day trips. When you get there try the cinnamon buns at the local gluten free bakery.

Sand Lakes Provincial Park was designated a provincial park by the Government of Manitoba in 1995.  The park is 8,310 square kilometres (3,210 sq mi) in size. The park is considered to be a Class Ib protected area under the IUCN protected area management categories.

I like this place a lot. What I like most of all are the endless thumbs ups that all the reviews get!
