Sargent Sundae

Went by this place often on my way to work, decided to drop on to give it a try.

Enjoyed the double scoop of chocolate chip cookie dough in a waffle cone. Pre-made ice cream treats are also avaliable.

Excellent customer service! This is a busy place but the staff is fast! Best place for your favourite frozen treats on a hot summer day!

Update (Recent visit) - I tripped and broke my waffle cone. Went back to see if they would provide a cup and spoon but they gave a new waffle cone! I was beyond stoked!

The best ice cream there is hands down. Good creamy ice cream and good chocolate dip for dipped cones. None of that marshmellowy stuff that don't seem to melt. THIS IS THE REAL DEAL, REAL PLACE FOR GREAT ICE CREAM.

The Espresso Flakes flavour is heavenly. Prices are reasonable. Handy to be able to walk across the bridge from Assiniboine Park. Thankfully the line moves pretty quick.

I've been to Sargent Sundae countless times. It's one of the main ice cream staples in Winnipeg in the summer and super close to a main entrance to Assiniboine Park. The are sensitive and accommodating to those with tree nut and peanut allegies. They have pre-packaged ice cream products that are completely nut-free, as well as soft ice cream and dipping options (e.g, chocolate). And ice cream cakes that are nut-free safe options as well. In the fall, Sargent Sundae has pumpkin flavoured soft serve ice cream (made with actual pumpkin puree) which you can eat in-store or buy containers of it to take home. It's super good. There is free parking behind the store and ample outside seating. Occasionally, there has been live music outside during the summer months.

All WINNIPEG people, know this Ice's Creame place. Nice place ever. You can buy an Ice Cream and go have fun at Assiniboine Park, it's so sweet and Romantic, and the Ica Cream is sooo yummy.

My favourite ice cream in Winnipeg. Skip the chaos at BDI and come here instead. They also make a great chocolate malt.

You NEED to go in late summer and fall fof their pumpkin pie soft serve! Cash only! Line can get long but worth waiting for

Always delicious. Wish they either took debit or got a machine on site for those who don't realize it's cash only (the people in line in front of us didn't have cash). Great service, fast, friendly. Worth going!

Lieu incontournable du parc Assiniboine même s’il ne se trouve pas dedans. Il faut traverser la passerelle et l’avenue Portage pour y accéder mais ça vaut le coup. Des tables permanentes sont construites à l’extérieur et on peut y écouter des concerts parfois.
Les glaces sont correctes, le choix est varié, la personnalisation infinie et le prix est abordable. Il faut venir avec des espèces car le magasin n’accepte pas la carte de paiement.

The only con is that they just deal in cash and no cards. I’d recommend their French vanilla and Strawberry & Cream. The combination is out of this world
Tried the pistachio flavour too but it had a lot of pistachios that didn’t let me enjoy the ice cream so I wouldn’t recommend that
