Scout: Coffee + Community

Booked a birthday party here with a bounce house - excellent prices, plenty of space, literally the best staff an employer could ask for - friendly, knowledgable, and enthusiastic. Thank you for offering your space to us - I don't have enough room to host at home, so this was the next best thing! Also, had a turtles mocha and it was delicious.

I had my twins first birthday party here, it was a nice place but one of the staff was incredibly rude. We had some balloons with foil confetti inside that popped and the staff gave me a lecture on the choking hazard and how hard it is to clean, she didn’t even want to let me use their broom because “there’s no point they don’t sweep” with my friends and family picking it up we cleaned it all in under a minute, dramatic and rude for no reason. Turned me off from wanting to go here again.

EDIT TO REPLY: I get it was a safety thing, I am an infant teacher and a mother of 4 but it was the tone of voice and choice of words. Could of been A LOT nicer. The fact that you knew I'd leave a review speaks volume on your approach. Nobody was purposely popping them, they were thin cheap balloons from Amazon that I will never buy again.

The London Fog here is consistently great, the space was perfect for our private booking. We had a Moms/Aunties and Kids painting class in the space. The Snacks were obviously delicious and the kids could play independently while the adults got more into painting details. All in all such a well thought out space and business for families

Our daughter had a great time with her friends, celebrating her b-day at SCOUT. Friendly and helpful staff. The venue is great for small gathering. We are very pleased with the experience.

Never been here, but our city should be safe for everyone to express themselves as they so choose, thank you for contributing to that fight.

Always a great time, whether it's just a quick stop on the way home after daycare pickup or to meet up with friends for coffee or lunch and actually get to chat while the kiddos play. Glad to see the exciting events they've held and have planned. A valuable addition to the community, for sure!

Thank you! I ordered a birthday lunch for my sister on door dash and requested they could write a little message for her as well. She said the avocado dill bagel was to die for, as well as the pink smoothie and maple cinnamon bun. I’d absolutely recommend this place. Thanks again!

Went there the other day and found the staff very nice, ordered a latte plus a slice of apple pie and both were very good. The staff even gave my dog that was waiting outside a small pup cup which was greatly appreciated.

Would highly recommend this place to others! Already told some people I know.

We showed up with the kids and there were no cookies left, as a result we left disappointed. Also my wife did not like the coffee as it lacked body, I don’t think we’re gonna be returning

I love Scout Cafe! Where else can you let your kids run free, play, and make a mess all while you enjoy coffee with friends? Great environment, great food and drinks, and a great place to host your child's birthday party. Can't wait to celebrate my son's birthday there next month. Highly recommend checking out this location!

We have been here quite a few times now. Nice local place within walking distance. Everything I’ve ordered has been good. I’m thinking the coffee is not fair trade or rainforest alliance sadly (it’s not advertised anyways) which is important to me. Prices are as expected and I think reasonable for being a small local place. (Not a giant chain restaurant).

I love Scout, I recommend their blended latte's, banana chocolate chip muffins, and "NotBLT Bagel". Really hoping they add the vegan mini donuts to the menu like the portage location, which are probably my favourite donuts in the city.

Fantastic Location. Great selection of drinks and the cinnamon buns are superb! Great spot for the kids to play as well.
