Went in to likely buy a Buick, it did not have all the maintenance for it or what maintenance is suggested at that odometer reading. I was initially dealing with Robin, they were great, ended up talking to Justin and he was actually super rude when we were asking usual, normal questions about maintenance, he said he couldn't tell us any history on it other than what was done at HIS shop (why when all the other dealerships we went to pulled up the history no problem, scam artist) the vehicle had some damage not mentioned on website or shown in photos so we were discussing it and he just got VERY uppity and said "Then this car isn't for you! " And pretty much ended a very civil conversation about purchasing the car.
We went across the street and bought a much more expensive car on the spot, chrysler crew were not only helpful, more knowledgeable but so kind not only to us but to our 1.5 year old.

We won't ever support a business with "management" who act like that, management requires people skills, that person has none and was extremely rude. We were shocked at how he spoke to us.

Be Careful! My wife recently took her vehicle in for a routine oil change. When they called to say it was done, they told her the rear differential was leaking from the vent/breather and would need to be replaced. We were handed an estimate on pickup for the complete replacement of the rear diff due to a leak totalling nearly $4k. Differentials can be rebuilt from the ground up and a leak should never be a reason for a complete replacement, this was my first red flag. There had been no oil spots or stains on the driveway or her parking space at work since the rear axle seals were replaced several months ago at a different garage that we have used in the past and have full confidence in. Had there been a leak I am sure they would have let us know. When we picked up the vehicle I took a peek underneath and sure enough there was already a small puddle of gear oil forming and at the rate it was forming we would have surely noticed it on our driveway. The leak did not appear to be coming from the breather but from the seal on the access cover, looked very new, clean no grime. We took it to another mechanic, and he immediately told us it was absurd replace an entire differential due to a leak which I already knew as was why we went for a second opinion in the first place.he told us he saw the cover seal was leaking and was preparing to replace it, and when he went to start removing the bolts he found that ALL OF THE BOLTS securing the cover were loose, and that for that to have happened it would have had to be deliberate. He torqued down the bolts and monitored it for leaks, surprise, no more leak. I find it very suspicious that we were informed of a non existent leak that spontaneously just started happening after we left after being handed a $4K quote for a new rear diff, only to find out that all of the bolts had been loosened. The mechanic we used was in utter disbelief of this whole situation. He charged us $40 to re torque all of the bolts. We will not be back, I was considering buying my next vehicle here, but definitely will not.

I purchased a new GMC Canyon (my 1st new vehicle) back in 2018 and have always taken it back to Selkirk GM for service. Only service ever needed has been a oil change and filters. Today September 18/2023 I pulled into the oil change bay to ask Craig Stefanyshyn about getting my next service and mentioned i was trying to replace my wiper blades with a set that was given as a promotion a while back. He took a look and said We will fix you up right now. In the end I was fixed up on the spot with the proper wiper blades and was on my way. Ever since I have been coming to Selk. GM Craig has always been my 1st contact and ALWAYS get top notch processional treatment from him. Always a pleasure to see Craig

I had a few minor issues, however it made me feel like i didn't trust the service i received this time. I wasnt completely satisfied to be honest.
I had a person named Jen call me, but nobody followed up with me on my discussion that i had with her.
I sent an email of my minor issues just to let them know and to request a summary of items checked on my vehicle and i didnt receive anything. I called Laurie at the Dealership and she helped me. She was very nice.
Overall i just didnt feel great after this appt. I also felt like maybe some items that were checked off on the oil change checklist werent done and it was ticked off that they had done it. For example my air pressure and car wash was ticked but my car wasnt washed. And my air was still the same pressure it was when i came in.some was low and some were too high.
Anyway that was my experience.

We were passing through Winnipeg with a 10 Hr drive ahead of us when my truck threw an emissions code. I pulled into Selkirk and was greeted by Michael Flannigan the Service Writer. He was prompt, professional and knew we were in a bind. He made time for us and got us in for the repair. Rarely do you see this type of Customer Service! I’d recommend anyone to Selkirk Chevrolet and GMC. Thank you Michael and the Selkirk Team!

Took my truck here it was leaving me stranded turn key and nothing then start a day later with doing nothing then scanned it and charged me and changed the rear lamps for the licence plate then said the truck won't act up for them so they can't fix it so I am to go pick it up and hope that it doesn't leave me stranded they did nothing to fix the problem and I still have a bill

I bought my truck here and took it back to the garage cause sometimes you turn the key forward and nothing happens they scanned it and changed the licence plate lamps and say they can't get it to act up so I have to pay bill and they just can't fix it but yet I am being chargé for them scanning it and changing out licence plate bulbs sad when the place you buy à truck let's you drive away and chrages you for a truck that is going to leave you stranded

Waste of time they knew we were coming from out of town we drove almost 3 hour and they went and sold it to someone els shortly before are set (“ appointment “) time 1: 45pm picked by the sale rep, see time stamp on emails it was sold around 12: 54pm, when we did show up to the dealership they didn’t even care that they wasted our time and gas didn’t even seem to want to understand us at all so we left wouldn’t purchase from them.

I came here for an oil change not long ago, they made me feel like a clueless woman, they didn’t even ask which type of oil change I would like, they automatically charged me for the most expensive one. The guy came to show me my clogged air filter and Told me I need at new one in an almost aggressive tone and tossed it into the trash before I could even say it was ok. I would never support a business that treats customers or women in that way. I won’t be coming back there EVER!

We only had one issue was Ally's knowledge of the informat system and the trailer brake assist operation, we ended up going to another dealership to help us pair our phones to the truck only because of convenience, there by learning of a problem with the smart system. Worst buying experience of my life. The "brand new" vehicle they sold me had been vandalized. They did a touch up fix to keep the repair costs under $1000 so it would not show up on the carfax report. The vehicle was also improperly ceramic coated, staining all of the black plastic trim with white residue. When I brought it back to them to fix, they scratched the side of the vehicle with a clay bar. I am now dealing with customer service with still no resolve after over 1 year. I would recommend going to any other dealership.

I had been going dealership to dealership in Winnipeg looking for the right SUV. Over 2 months I must have driven everything from Dodge, Ford, Audi, Benz, etc.

On a whim, I stopped into Selkirk GM while visiting a friend in town. There it sat.a 2019 Chevy Traverse Redline Edition. It’s a menacing black SUV with all the bells and whistles.

I didn’t actually see it at first, but Sean Hourie asked me what I was looking for and found it on the lot. We went for a test drive around Selkirk and I knew I had to have it.

I hate high pressure sales environments. In fact, if I enter one I guarantee that I will not buy. Sean walked me through everything, showed me all the coolest features, and it doesn’t hurt that he has good taste in music so the drive felt like taking a spin with a homie.

Once I knew I wanted the truck, Sean, Chris, and Anthony made the entire process painless from approval and trade-in, to getting the vehicle for me the very next available day and following up.

I live about 45 mins from this dealership (with several in walking distance of my home) and I will definitely go back here when I need something.

Highly recommended. Go see Sean and your entire buying process will be easy peasy. Now, time to put my phone away, open my sunroof, crank my music, and hit the road in my dream vehicle.

Travelling thru Selkirk, and my truck needed an oil change. Stopped to book an appointment, and found oil changes don't need appointments. Brought truck in for service next day. They were done in 45 minutes. We didn't even finish our Walmart shopping. Yes they are next to a mall, so if you don't want to wait around, you can shop. Service Consultant was Kerry Adams. This is the second time my wife and I purchased a vehicle from Selkirk GM and both times we were very happy with the service and the vehicles. This last one was a 2016 Ford Edge and so far we are very pleased. Lawrence, the Sales Consultant was very patient and genuine. And Dale, the Finance Manager was efficient and helpful. I would highly recommend Selkirk GM!

Everything prior to us taking delivery of our new vehicle was great. The finance dept.was able to reasonably meet us at our budget, staff were polite and friendly.

-The detailing of the vehicle was sub-par. It looked like it was just rinsed and wiped down. There was still dirt in the panel creases. Minor, so I didn't say anything. If it was a Denali it might've been different? Lol

-Had my wife drive the truck back to the city (30mins away). I jumped in to help back up into the driveway just to discover the gas tank was 10km to empty.

-They also forgot to give us the 2nd set of keys. Took a Month to arrive at my door. (I went away to ON for holidays, shopped and shipped a car part to myself to WPG and that arrived before my 2nd set of keys that are 30mins away

-This might not be related to the dealership but adds to the awful experience. OnStar was useless. Spoke to 3 ppl +1week/person of waiting just to have key commands turned on for my App. That's 3weeks folks. Onstar canceled.

-Purchased vehicle in Nov. Still have not received gas cards promised. But I'm not going to hold my breath.

I hope every customer after me gets nothing but great experiences from this dealership. In my envy; I certainly did not.
