This one has one of the best pricing a huge selection of everything and very friendly staff.

10/09/2022 The store was very clean and bright. Lots of friendly staff on hand.
I had placed an online order. When I placed the order it indicated that there was only one available so I was Leary that it would be available. The order was full within an hour. I arrived at the store and the item was ready for pickup. I am a big home hardware fan! Great job again.

Clean and well organized store. Much prefer this store over Home Depot. The staff is also super friendly and helpful.

Usually get great service from the order desk and lumber yard. Today there was a store associate standing at the till with the cashier talking about their hair color and if they should be dying their hair today. All the while I'm standing there with a heavy shelving unit! They can both see me waiting but continue their conversation about hair dye. I have to awkwardly move my cart to the other till to pay for my goods. The older associate should know better as this was a very poor customer experience example.

This place has all the 'I wants' of a hardware/Lumber store. I always find little things in all departments that I need, that no one else has. I drive the extra 23 miles to get those things, and it's well worth it.

Great place to shop, lots and lots of friendly and knowledgeable staff, (not like the other understaffed big box retailers).

Always pay more at the village store. With Canadian tire round the corner and Home Depot just 15minute away in Winnipeg this store needs to realize that charging 10-15% more for a similar item will not keep them in repeat business. Ideal for that must have at short notice.

I needed unusual type plumbing parts for out of date plumbing. Young man in plumbing department found correct parts and job was completed easily.

Staff are always knowledgeable and helpful. My go to for all things construction, gardening and home decor.

Sometimes it's good. Sometimes they are short staffed. But helpful when there are staff around.

Excellent range of merchandise at fair prices.
HOWEVER my last visit on Nov 26 2021 in the afternoon was a disaster as the customer service at the checkout was careless and rude. Especially the so called Supervisor who decided to insult the customers instead of ensuring good service at the checkout desk.
NOTE TO OWNER.get rid of this older woman now as she will ruin your business. She thinks that it is OK for cashiers to ignore customers at the checkout and allow them to actively train other staff at another register without considering the people waiting to complete their purchases. Following this behaviour of incompetence and discourtesy she even followed us out of the store into the parking lot and yelled profane language at us. Our only interaction with the cashier was to the back of her head as her attention was solely on talking to her colleague (for the training I guess) and my only comment to her was to call out " Excuse me " over the 2 metres to the other register, that we weren't finished paying for our purchases yet. Our cashier returned almost immediately after me calling out and without addressing us still she activated the credit card terminal.and then and only then did the useless supervisor decide to rudely accost us with " What is the problem here? ". She should have done the training of the other employee herself. But I realise she may not be capable of other duties. No names tags were worn so we do not know whom we had this unfortunate experience with.
Please fix these problems as we used to enjoy your store.

Staff was exceptional in service. The store was very clean. I will definitely make the trip back to reward this refreshing business approach. The owner has an amazing team!

I wanted to give Cathy from the flooing department 5 stars for top notch customer service. She was extremely helpful when my girlfriend came down with a flooring issue. We purchased this beautiful flooring and couldn't be happier!

I highly recommend this store. Great selection of stuff. Will surely be going back. Young lady Lisa at the customers service desk was extremely helpful answered all my questions and even went out of her way to help me find exactly what I needed.

Met a young William in plumbing very informative and he been employed for about a year.he assisted us with getting a shower stall and very courteous.

If you want to experience real customer service with people who have knowledge then this is the place to shop

This is such a beautiful store. Loved the gift shop as you walk in. First time here, it was worth the trip for all the unique items that are made just for home hardware.

Got a great amount of wood, always fast quick in and out when ever i am building my latest project. Sadly they don't have all the wood i needed as of late with the wood shortage and supply with screws, but they are fast to try and help out with what every they have to fill the job.

Great store, so much variety of merchandise including lumber and hardscape items. Always leave with abit more than what I went in for. Clean and well organized.helpful staff.

Selkirk home hardware is great. Always clean, well organized. Staff are friendly and very knowledgeable. Home hardware has great lumber and their lumber yard staff are great. If you have questions about lumber ask for Klay. Klay is always ready to give good advice.

I really appreciate Andy in the lumber yard. This has been the first summer we started to make planters for retail purposes so my husband and I have made many trips to this lumberyard. Both of us are always glad when he's around. He's a very pleasant gentleman to interact with. He knows his stuff. He's great at cutting the wood. Even on scorching days where it's + 38 with the humidex he's always a great guy. 10/10 moustache.

Such a friendly and helpful team working in a local store. Priced out door locks and they were the same price as a big blue mega hardware store. Shopping local and costing no more. Sweet!

Excellant customer service! I bought a Worx Weed Wacker/Edger. The 20V battery only worked for 30 minutes which was not sufficient. I spoke to Shawna and asked if I would be able to return it since I had used it. She acknowledged the issue with the battery and allowed me to return it. I really appreciate that I was not stranded with an unsatisfactory tool! Thanks!

Nice store with decent stock, and employess are, for the most part helpful. Was shopping for a dishwasher and inquired about if they would price match the same model in Winnipeg with a price difference of $70. They would not. Would like to see a local business be more competitive.

You know, the Home Hardware stores are not as big as the big box stores and yet they always seem to stock a must needed item that isn't available anywhere else. I really enjoy shopping at the Selkirk store.

We went here looking for parts for our BBQ. We had two very helpful staff members giving us the assistance we needed. Brad took the time to explain the changes in our bbq since we have had it for 15 years and this was the first burner we needed replacing. However as in most cases there has been changes in the product and our item was no longer available. Brad then looked on line for us and gave us some information on new bbqs to chose from to replace ours. The staff were all friendly. The store was very clean and nicely set up. This is very good store and we will be shopping here more in the future.
