Seoul Dak

Tried once, and I got the Korean spicy sauce and cheese flavour. From my opinion, I don’t really like the sauce in the cheese chicken that taste like yogurt. And the spicy sauce to me is a little saucy. But in general, it’s ok. However, those two chicken cost me over 60 bucks after tax. To me, over priced. And no place to seat inside. Have to take out.

Personally myself as a Korean living in Winnipeg for the past 2 decades I haven’t seen a Korean style chicken restaurant survive that long and i can tell this one going out of business real fast as well.

1. Chicken is over price for the portion you get, especially as a take out restaurant. By the time you go home your sauce chicken is most likely going to get soggy and lose the crispness.

2. $4 for pickle radish? With the expensive chicken? Literally spending over $40 for one serving. (Picked radish is supposed to be complementary, always has been and always will at least in Korea, its like going to Korean restaurant. Side dishes are always complementary, they don’t charge you for kimchi on the side.

This location actually used to be a take out Korean chicken restaurant as well, previously called (the red foot) and obviously it went out of business because it wasn’t that great and kind of expensive but seoul dak is beyond expensive, hopefully the owner gets some sense into the reality and lower there standards unless you want to go out of business like the previous one.

Judging by all these fantastic 5 star reviews are written by Koreans its mostly like is fake reviews to boost up the ratings by friends and family. Seoul dak is not even close being authentic. To that Sunny girls review getting defensive (who is probably a family or friend) nonsense? Korean people are cheap they dont have $40 to eat 1 serving portion of chicken. Obviously you’re a fake just to boost up the reviews. Traditionally picked radish is free, why you selling and labeling as “Korean friend chicken” then? Like I stated all the Korean restaurants in Winnipeg or Canada should start charging for side dishes. You wanna label things as Korean? Then start following the traditional way instead of scamming people. We’ll see how long you guys last. Hahahaha like i said 20 years in Winnipeg. Haven’t seen one survive that long.

Tasty but Overpriced (창렬하다)
1. Very unsatisfying portion
This amount would only cost about 15 bucks in other restaurants

2.tasty korean styled chicken
- Fried chicken was similar to those I've tried in Korea. Not too salty like KFC/Popeyes, no strong spice scent like Jollibee.
- FYI Sauced Fried Chicken tasted slightly different compared to the general Korean-style sauced fried chicken. It had a bit more spiciness and a stronger gochujang flavor.

3. Great for dark meat lovers like myself
Bone-in menu consisted mainly of chicken leg or wing

∴ Decent taste but not worth it

It was delicious. But it was way too overpriced. Portion was way too small for a full chicken.

I was excited to try this place as I had never had Cheese Seasoning Chicken before. It surpassed all my expectations. To this day, it's some of the best fried chicken i've ever had. Can't wait to have it again.

Best Korea fry chicken in Winnipeg. One day order two times. The guy CJ said sunny the girl she is fake account. But I guess”CJ” you’re fake Korean. Oh maybe you are from North Korea never try South Korea chicken. It is also possible that you are a competitor in other businesses. Hahaha, forget one thing, you can't even afford radish side and you probably don't have your own business, hahaha! CJ CJ CJ

Just visited today and I loved it! Great service, great quality. As a Korean I have tried the original Korean chicken countless times back in Korea, and I can say this is really good so far.

A bit pricey but I'm totally fine with that since I'm happy to have Korean chicken in Winnipeg that is a real good one.

I saw that there are few extreme low stars because of the price.

Well, I think it's worth it if you get good quality food and are satisfied. If it didn't taste good, I would have left a critical review either, but their customer service was very good and the quality of the food was excellent.

And since this is Canada, not Korea, there is absolutely no reason for a restaurant to offer a side dish for free (I just saw the review complaining there's no free side dishes which is nonsense even to me as a Korean)

Anyways I am happy and satisfied with the quality of the price I paid, and will definitely visit again!

I never understand why someone would get a problem of my personal review as a customer, even making me as a fake reviewer
I have no reason to do that and I do not waste my time and energy for fake reviews.

I spent my time to write this good review, only because I really liked their customer services and food quality was excellent. I have no idea why somebody would judge this kind of review things even.

And for CJ, in this review who is mentioning my name as a fake reviewer, I will no longer tolerate mentioning and shaming my name in public space.

My fiance is korean. So when she heard this restaurant was opening we had to try it. She tell my this is as authentic as your gonna get. That being said its officially my favorite fried chicken. Sorry popeyes.

Hopefully i want to get 1 whole chicken like Queen’s chicken! The cooking oil they used was fresh and clean.

Bit over priced for how much is given. Don't think it's full chicken. Food tasted decent tho.

Really great food great price. Picked up and brought it home and the sauced chicken was still hot and crispy even with sauce on it. Fried rice cakes were also very good.
