Shoppers Drug Mart

What happened to shoppers? It use to be open until 12 always the reliable place to go. Last night I went there at 9 20 and it was closed already. Sign still says open till midnight. Very disappointed how that store has been ran into the ground I moved pharmacies as well months ago.

Should have kept hours open till midnight in a town like this it was place to go when everything else was closed was key word was reliable place to go when you were sick and needed something for that as well.

This shoppers drug mart in Portage La Prairie is the worst I have ever seen. Love their products but find the owners and workers are just terrible with customer service. Granted a lot of them are from another country culture and they have manners that are very different. They block the way when restocking and seem to do it when it’s very busy. The men working there seem to dislike working there and it’s just a terrible experience going there. They talk rudely to people and there is no one to do checkout. They just want us to use the self checkout. I go there for my pc points but that’s the only reason I go there, certainly not for the customer service.

Got my doctor to send a refill to them 2-3 days prior to showing up and they said they didn't have it, this has happened WAY to frequently there

Canada Post needs to seriously reconsider their partnership with Shoppers Drug Mart in Portage. There is zero customer service in this store and they have no organizational abilities.

I called this store 7 times to inquire about a package that might be there. I was unable to get through to anyone. I then attended the store at 4: 15 pm to ask about my package. I was told she received them but hadn’t processed them yet and to come back shortly. I drove 15 mins home (out of town) and drove back at 5: 40 pm (20 mins before they close). When I arrived there were 15+ Western Union customers in line. I acknowledge the importance of them being able to send money home but despite even having the manager involved, they were unwilling to grab my package for me and said I had to wait in line. This would have taken all of 30 seconds. I wouldn’t be so annoyed about this all if I hadn’t called 7 times that afternoon and even came in person but directed to come back. Avoid this place at all costs, every department other than cosmetics is a complete disaster.

Worst pharmacy I’ve ever dealt with! They never answer the phone never have any of my prescriptions ready. I called two hours ahead and when I got there they still haven’t had anything ready, they never have the right prescriptions ready this place is horrible!

The staff at this portage la prairie branch are very rude she left while we are explaining says” i dont need your explanation”! First time ever we met a kind of staff like her she should not be in this kind of work she doesnt know how to talk with client with courtesy.

Was told that Shoppers Drug Mart does not accept PC Gift cards. Checked online and it says that it would and should.

Such a chaotic mess. Twice, I given someone else’s prescription and I was given the wrong amount several times. When I brought this up to the pharmacist,
I was told “it happens”. There is no standard of care at this location. Being busy is not an excuse when it comes to health. Someone could die because wrong medication was given.

Waited over an hour and a half for a prescription, was told when I dropped it off it would take twenty mins, I came back an over an hour later, it was not ready, was told it just needed to be bagged up, but then waited another 30 mins for the prescription. I dont appreciate being lied too, if it's going to take 2 hours tell me it's going to take 2 hours. Telling my sister to switch to Coop pharmacy.
