Shoppers Drug Mart

Why there is no improvement after so many one star reviews, there are 4 staff and close to no customers still need to wait for 40 minutes even longer, slowly working, their is no standard in their operation.

I reach on there with my wife and she was try to buy her nail paint and i normaly see the product on there for mans she said i can't touch any product and don't open if i can't open then how can i buy

I have read the majority of these reviews and I don't understand why action has not been taken. The standard response is always the same.we value customer service, we value your health concerns, we value your safety. If this Shoppers Drug Mart values its customers so much, why hasn't anything been done to change the bad attitudes of its employees. How sad that this store doesn't realize how invaluable good customer service is.

I have been a customer of this Shoppers for decades even when it was located in the Fort Richmond Shopping Centre. I am so fed up with the rudeness of pharmacy staff, both in person and on the telephone, that I have changed my presciptions to the Red River Co-op in St Norbert.

IF SHOPPERS HEAD OFFICE SINCERELY CARED ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS THEY WOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS STORE.

If there is - i will give it carless ppl, im in pain and the missed my medicine until i came back to them for it lol, poor service poor communication

Staff keep talking in their home country language when I visited and keep ignoring me. Take my prescriptions paper then told me come back in 1 hr. Because “they are busy” on chatting. I think something need to be changed and it’s obviously not SHOPPERS standards.

I visited to by a jug of milk. Upon paying for it I realized it was “best before March 22/2023. This was at about 10 pm March 22/2023. Past the expiry date by 22 hours. The cashier said they were still selling it at full price cause they don’t sell very much of it. After my confrontation and expressing my concern she retuned it to the shelf with 6 other expired jugs and went to the back and got me a fresher one with an April 2/2023 date. I’m sure those expired jugs will still be for sale tomorrow AM. PEOPLE BEWARE!

K SO I GOT A RESPONSE WITH NO EXPLANATION FOR SELLING DATE EXPIRES PRODUCE. I TRIED CALLING THE 800 NUMBER ONLY TO GET A RECORDING THAT THE WAIT TIME WAS EXTREMELY LONG AND SUGGESTED A WEB PAGE. THE CHASE AROUND GAME ANS PASS IT ONTO ANOTHER PRRSON BECAUSE THE STORE MANAGER DOES NOT HAVE THE CAPABILITY TO SOLVE AN ISSUE NOR CARE TOO.

Had our APPT for vaccine boost shot at 13: 15. Showed up at 13: 00 filled the form. Then we wait till 14: 00 and we go ask is there any updates for when we can start to take the shot.

The pharmacist with yellow hair Asian lady told me if you can’t wait you can just leave. By the way today is Remember’s day. 13: 15 is the earliest APPT and there are 6 people after me to take the vaccine shot. We are stand there like stones with no updates and no explanation.

At last I hope please don’t fire this lady cause she represents shoppers and represents friendly Manitoba and please remove need an APPT on your website. Cause APPT doesn’t work at this location.

PS: We did left at 14: 05 without taking the shot cause she told us to lol

For the million time, we had to provide our coverage information. Said we never gave it. Had to pay for prescription as they didn’t have coverage information and couldn't charge it to treaty. Moving all of my prescriptions to another pharmacy. The pharmacist raised his voice and along with his assistant. Told to take our prescriptions some place else. Ok we paid and left.as we have provided our coverage information plenty of times over and over again. See ya will not go into this shoppers again.

0 stars. Absolutely horrible pharmacy team. Very disrespectful and unwilling to fill life dependant prescriptions on time.

Under-staffed. Takes more than a day to fill a prescription in some cases. They don’t answer phones but if you want to listen to free lousy music for hours, press 3. Time to switch to a different drugstore.

Not sure why there are appointments here, they ignore the clock and get to it when they get to it. Be prepared to wait for up to an hour past your appointment.

Worst experience at the pharmacy! I have been waiting to get my prescription for over a week now. I even called another pharmacy to get my prescription transferred but they don’t even pick up Rexxal’s call or respond to their fax! Unbelievable. They put you on hold for 10 mins+, don’t response to your request, staffs are rude! Disgusted with the service.

I love to go to this shoppers location. The staff is the best. My favorite person there is beauty expert GAGAN, she is always very helpful to customers. You can ask for any suggestion she will always willing to help. She recommended me the best products. Thank you so much.

They lie about faxing your meds to the doctor
They are rude arrogant and do not answer the phone
I called my meds in on Tuesday and finally after probably eight calls received them today and the pharmacist had the audacity to say that I should order my meds early and be responsible for them! I almost blew a head gasket

Go somewhere else I’ve been dealing with this pharmacy since the 80s and the last year year and a half since these different people have taken over it’s pathetic they have lost so many customers
Try somebody else not them

Worst pharmacy staff. Every experience has been terrible, rude staff, leave you on hold for an hour then hang up on you. They act like you are an inconvenience to them every time you call or pick up a prescription. I call to fill my prescription before hand and I get there and it hadn’t been filled yet.

The pharmacist called Nata*** had no patient! She is rude and not willing to help.
We asked 3 questions and didn’t get any answer, then she asked us to talk to the staff at the beauty section even when we are looking for advice for drugs. She said she is very busy meanwhile there is only one person in the line, this is a bad experience.

(When she heard us speak in English which is not our first language, her attitude changed to worse, even we already try our best.)

Take your prescriptions somewhere else! Picked up my wife after surgery from Victoria hospital at 9pm. She was given some prescriptions when they discharged her. Since this Shoppers is so close by we stopped here. I was told it would be at least an hour wait so I took my wife and 6 year old home and would go back after an hour.

When I got home they phoned me and said the prescription my wife has for Tramacet couldn't be filled because it is illegal. I said that's crazy she was given some at the hospital and the doctor gave her that prescription on her way out the door. The said her doctor is wrong due to some changes in the law a few months ago. By this point it's almost midnight and every pharmacy is closed and there are no options left.

I took the prescription first thing in the morning to a nearby Co-op pharmacy who filled it without issue in 15 minutes. Due to the absolute incompetence of the Shoppers pharmacy my wife spent the entire night in agonizing pain.

Out of curiosity I called a different Shoppers pharmacy and asked if they could fill a prescription for Tramacet. They said they had stock and as long as my prescription is valid it wouldn't be an issue.

TLDR stay away from this Shoppers Drugmart location. They don't even deserve the 1 star rating I wish I could have selected 0.

I have been going to this shoppers for several years now. I have noticed that customer service has continued to go down hill. There is always only one cash opened and the line up can be 6 plus people and still no one is called to open another. I like to pay cash when I can so don’t use the self checkouts. I have been trying to avoid this location but it is close to my home and sometimes it is more convenient.but I can always say. I’m sorry for my choice. Today was no different than several other visits, the line was long, the poor teller was very over worked, people’s tempers were getting short and several of the registers were not working. I think something has to give at this store. I have been to others and have never seen these problems. I will continue to avoid this store.

The pharmacy staff at this location are a joke. If I could give 0 stars I would. I've heard so many bad things from this neighborhood about people switching pharmacies. Now I know why. Don't bother coming here. You will waste your time.

I submit my prescription on Sunday 15 may afternoon pharmacist say its take 24-48 hrs to make this medicine and we text you.
Today Wednesday 18 may after 72 hrs when i m not getting any response from shoppers pharmacy
go for pick my medicine.pharmacist told me no one order this medicine. I m shocked coz it’s medicine not any other item like grocery or cosmetics item.
Pharmacist very irresponsible not not doing her duty properly also pharmacist showing attitude When i said to her its not my fault and you are responsible.

Hate the post office staff. Instead of working with me…made me repackage, damaged my packaging, would give me tape. Had to go home and drive back. Then returned and threatened that he was doing me a favour by shipping out this time. Ridiculous!

The pharmacy is the worst

The pharmacy messed up my prescription. I called and to get a refill, called 2 days late and they said it came back not available. I told them was it dr. S and they said it was sent to St. B. I told them no it’s supposed to my Dr. S gave them the phone number and Office name. And she said she found the fax. Called on the next day and they said it never came back. Asked again if it was Dr. S and they said no it’s was Dr. B (which is the same dr at st. B) I had horrible with drawls. Got my meds 5 days later, I talked to some guy about faxing 4 other meds to my Dr. And I said my drs name 4 times in that conversation. And even at the end I said make sure it’s Dr. S (full name). And he said yes. I called the next day and she said it hasn’t come back yet. And I asked if it was my drS and she said no. It was dr. B who’s at st B. T
In the last 2 weeks they’ve messed up my meds 3 times. This is extremely dangerous and unprofessional.

The efficiency was so inefficient that the staff didn't know what they were doing. They told me that I could get the prescription medicine in an hour. As a result, I waited for three hours and told me that it would take another two hours. The experience is very poor.

The pharmacists are too rude, wrong and have a bad attitude. I went 3-4 times in a month for cough syrup (over the counter medicine) and there was none. So, I wanted to check with the Pharmacist if they have inside. After waiting in line for about 15 min, talked to a Pharmacist.she was showing so much attitude that If the medicine is not there on the counter thats it. I told her I have been few times and they are not restocking them. But she says that they are in huge demand so they wont be available. Its just cough medicine and all other pharmacies have them.
I also was given false information on a medicine. I asked if I can use a Cold /medicine for 4 yr old since the label did not mention the ages properly. The pharmacist said we can use but then the inside label showed that only >6 yr can use the medicine. Will not be using this Shopper drugmart anymore.

I would like to commend the pharmacy staff for an exceptional service! Especially Arshdeep the pharmaceutical aid and Don the pharmacist. My husband and I came in to have an injection administered by the pharmacist, I did not have an appointment scheduled. Don and his assistant kindly fit us in as they were short staffed and acted very professional and understanding considering how busy they were. Arshdeep stayed a few minutes past the end of her shift in order to input our information. Thank you!
