Called Shorties to fix a gas leak in my home gas line and repair a poorly installed furnace exhaust (poor grade condensation water building up in line) they did a awesome job, ran into a million problems left by the other installer, never lost their cool and were profesional until the end! Would recommend them to anyone!

Ryan showed up to fix our furnace. His service was excellent. Professional, courteous, promt, communicative, trustworthy, and pleasant. There wasn't a moment where I had to guess what was going on. I left the lock box outside, and he let me know when he was arriving and leaving, and what work had been done. Very grateful for his service. Thank you very much.

I called Shorty's to have them repair a leaky faucet and showerhead for my elderly parents and scheduled an appointment - was told they would charge a $120 service fee since they don't charge by the hour - and just any additional costs for "parts and fees" after that. Sounded reasonable.

I get a receipt in my email and was charged over $500 after the repair with no breakdown. I have to call them again and request an invoice to see what kinds of charges these are.

$120 for work performed (plumber was in there for less than 15 minutes, now I see why they don't charge by the hour)
$80 "diagnostic/service" fee
$50 vehicle surcharge (whatever that means)
OVER $200 for parts (for a faucet and shower cartridge - obviously marked up egregiously)

I now believe they will mislead you on purpose with their "$120 service fee" before throwing on expensive fees and marked up parts after the fact without any form of authorization. They were always going to charge me at least $250 before "parts".

Stay away from Shorty's Plumbing unless you want to get ripped off.

Hade them in for a small water valve job. Very quick and pleased with the quality of work. Highly recommended

I have used Shorty's twice and had great experiences both times! The replaced our hot water tank in the spring.

Most recently Cody and Colton checked a thermostat and serviced our furnace. They were on time, pleasant, explained things so I knew what they had done and made recommendations. They were helpful, knowledgeable and didn't try to upsell me which I really appreciated!

Set up a meeting for a quote, had the technician come down named thomas and he was fantastic super friendly, professional and knowledgeable, he was easy to reach and followed up promptly, thomas was awesome, will recommend to others

We had Shorty's install a new sump pump and hot water tank for us this morning. We can't say enough good things about their work and service. Dane showed up exactly on time. He was friendly, professional, and genuine. His work looks great and they left the furnace room looking better than they found it. I like that he took a few minutes to quickly discuss the game plan with me before he got to work so we knew what to expect. We will definitely be using Shorty's services again when needed in the future. Thank you to the Great Dane and his apprentice.

Shortys was more than accommodating when we needed them to replace shut off valves. Because we live in a Condo, special conditions apply. They were well aware of Condo requirements and responded quickly to our and our Condo Boards needs. Dane was the plumber sent to do our job and he was awesome. Professional, informative, tidy and did the job right. The company and Dane are both worth 5 stars.

Our hot water tank went and they got us a new tank in no time when other plumbing companies (Roto Rooter for example) wanted us to wait 3 days, Shortys did it in 1 and would have been even quicker than that if we were willing to pay after hour charges (which is understandable considering the time it went). The initial staff (Marquese) was super nice, was up front and straight with us, he helped with the paperwork, lent me heaters to keep warm over Christmas vacation, scheduled a new install on Tues (27th) and the installers were super friendly and fast. They gave me a tour of everything, and explained what I was to do when Hydro came to inspect.
Hydro came to inspect and the guy said that whichever company I used did an amazing job with installing the furnace!
Will be recommending your company to anyone that needs to get repaired!

Ryan K came out to perform a furnace inspection and cleaning -
which came to a lot less money than we were expecting! Quite affordable. He was very courteous and efficient, will definitely call Shorty's again if we need furnace maintenance in the future. While he was here he answered all of our questions and explained things easily for us - we had a specific question about our condensate pump/hose and he showed us how it worked, took it apart for us and cleaned it.

Dane was super friendly and showed me how to do this fix myself next time the faucet cartridge needs replacing.

Dane installed my electric hot water tank (converted from gas). Friendly, great service, and he even cleaned up some poor work from the previous install. I'd happily work with Shorty's again.

After quickly coming out to repair my furnace on one of the coldest days, I chose Shorty's to replace my furnace and air conditioner. Rick and Josh arrived on time, completed the job and left my house in the same condition (except the new equipment:) ). Job well done and I will not hesitate to refer others to Shorty's.

These contractors are always respectful and responsive to your requests. They provide accurate quotes and are available to support (answering simple questions and sharing some technical knowledge) without extra charges.

The person they sent was courteous and extremely knowledgeable about my boiler and heating setup. Shorty's may cost a tiny bit more but it was worth every penny because missing some minor detail could cost much more and they were very thorough. I have complete confidence that the problem was taken care of 100 % and then some because of all the extra advice. And them making sure to prevent future problems. I would definitely recommend them to someone, and in fact already have.

On Good Friday our furnace was not working so we called Shorty’s after trying a couple other places and only getting voicemail. We spoke with Shawn who took in all our details and was honest in the phone about the fact given what had happened that we were likely looking at a new furnace. He came out in the holiday and inspected the furnace giving us a detailed inspection. Given the holiday weekend he provided us with space heaters and ensured us he would return on Monday morning for a new install. He and his coworker Colton worked all day today (Monday) to perform the install. They we both polite, professional and upbeat and personable. Shawn explained everything as they made progress on the install, our floors were protected with carpets and mats. We now have a working furnace and will definitely use Shorty’s again for any future issues with our heating as well as recommend them to others in need of service. These gentlemen were truly amazing and so helpful.

A-mazing service! Had an overnight emergency with my sump pump and it was Steve to the rescue! I called at midnight and got through right away. I was an emotional wreck and he talked me through it all… even did a tutorial for me explaining as he worked. The positives:
1. Called early evening and spoke to Rick who was the technician that ended up coming out the next morning. This is a positive as I was not talking to someone in a call center somewhere taking after hours calls.
2. I told Rick what the issue was and he was willing to come with the part the next morning - saving me time and money. My experience with other firms in the past is they need to come and do their check first and won't listen to the homeowner.
The negatives - none! Call Shorty's!

I was impressed with Shorty's Plumbing & Heating! I was in dire straights as I found out my septic pump crapped out and my basement bathroom was filling up with sewer back up. I called 6 locations and Shorty's was the only location that was willing to come after hours, and they also had the best quote and product for my issue! When I called, someone actually picked and greeted me warmly, connected me with someone who could provide me detailed information on the septic pump they use and a quote for the job. The installer called me and said he could be at my house within an hour, Mitch was prompt, had absolutely all his supplies and tools for the job, and he was able to complete the job easily! Thank you Mitch for getting our septic pump installed and preventing my basement from being destroyed. I appreciated the professionalism you displayed to my family and wish you well in your career. I will be happy to refer my friends and family to you in the future.

Rick from Shorty’s Plumbing helped us out when we had problems with our HRV unit-it was New Years Day and he was the only business who answered the phone and took the time to help us! I recommend him and Shorty’s 100%!

Impressed with everything and everyone right from the start.to the gal who answered my call, you were impressive in how you handled our request, to the gal (Sam?) who returned my call in less than 10 minutes to make a booking (even though I called at 4: 45pm) and to Brandon, who showed up to complete the leak, arrived exactly on time, and explained to me exactly what the issue was, we were very impressed with your service and would highly recommend your company to anyone!

Excellent and professional service. I needed to get my hot water tank replaced. They had their tech come on the day before new years just to see what was wrong and then the service was booked 2 days later. They were on time and cleaned up after themselves. I asked if the tank could be moved and they did exactly what I asked. Somehow the furnace wasn't working after they left but I called and they were back in less then 20 minutes to fix it. I would definitely call them again if I have any issues.

We ended up undergoing a significant mechanical system upgrade, including a new furnace, new electric hot water tank, re-routing some plumbing lines and installing an HRV. The process from start to finish was very professional both from the actual work being performed and the administrative standpoint. The work was done on budget and within the timeframes advised of. Very happy with the overall experience!

Adam was very friendly, made sure I understood what he was going to do to repair/replace my outdoor faucet, and answered my questions. He also found a way to make the indoor shutoff more accessible and safer for me to operate. I won't hesitate to call Shorty's again.

Thanks to HVAC installers Colin & Ryan for a very professional install and to Jamie for making all the arrangements. Installers used drop cloths on our stairs and cleaned up like they were never there. We look forward to seeing energy savings with the new 2 stage furnace.

The installation team was professional and very responsive. They arrived precisely on time. We had an electrical complication during the installation but the team arranged for an electrician to come in and resolve the issue without missing a single step there were no delays and when the job was done the team tidied up and left the house in the same condition they found it in. The salesperson was super friendly and prompt and really listened to my needs. The price was completely fair. The work was done on time without any incident. Great Job! Furnace installation after old unit failed in last cold snap. They got me a price, and booked a date. Backup heaters were delivered and kept the place warm for a couple of days, then they installed the furnace, and took the old one away. Super professional crew.

I called Shorty's to my home for a furnace inspection after the motor began making loud and unusual noises. They had a technician attend promptly who inspected the furnace and diagnosed some other very serious issues that had the potential to affect the health and wellbeing of my family. The technician offered valuable insights and provided me with a quotation to repair my existing furnace or replace it. I was provided with a formal electronic quote on the spot!

I ultimately decided to replace my furnace with a new one. Shorty's made me a priority and had me scheduled in for the very next day! The two installation technicians were extremely professional, courteous and respectful of my home. They laid out floor protection, wore masks, asked before using the washroom and explained things that were potentially disruptive to our presence in the home (such as noise or the fumes from the glue). Upon completion they took the time to show us their work and our new furnace!

While I wasn't planning on purchasing a new furnace Shorty's certainly made the process pleasant and easy. Everyone I dealt with, from the receptionist through to the final installation was genuinely professional and exceeded my expectations.

We have been dealing with Shorty's for over 10 years. We have annual contract with inspections done on our heating and cooling system. Their annual contract is great. We just had new counter top's installed and we had Shorty's come out and set up the plumbing to our sink and dishwasher. Turned out great! Sam put everything together and actually gave us more room under the sink cabinet.

Recently had my central air conditioner replaced by Shorty‘s. Have nothing but good to say about them. Living in a condo it was a challenge to find a company willing to replace the condenser on the roof. Shorty’s was willing to do it and better yet offered the best price for the service. Dealing with all the staff was extremely pleasant. From arranging the replacement to the crew who did the job. Always on time, very professional, very thorough. I was very impressed by Shorty's. We had some bathroom plumbing replaced and a bathtub installed over a year ago. We just recently returned to this bathroom project to finish. We needed an adapter and a pipe installed in order to install our bath/shower fixtures. Shorty's sent out a plumber within a few days and he quickly finished the project at no additional charge (despite the very long period of time since they did the initial work). After the plumber finished, we discussed our old corroded drain pipe. I was worried that we would run into leaks after installing the sink drain and was not sure of the best solution. He ran out to his van quickly, found a fitting to solve the issue, installed it and only charged me for the part itself and not his time. Over the past few weeks, we have been dealing with significant issues with another tradesman who installed our tile and it made this renovation more costly and stressful than it needed to be. Shorty's has changed that and solved our plumbing issues quickly and with superior customer service. For that, I'm grateful and would definitely recommend them to others. Thanks!

Awesome and professional! They were very quick with coming out when my furnace was acting up and needed to be replaced. The people sent out were incredibly helpful and professional. Drop cloths were put down. There was not a mess left behind, And I am confident that they put in the best furnace for my house. Keep in mind this all occurred during the worst time possible! All social distancing rules were followed. I have and will continue to recommend Shorty’s.
