Smitty's Restaurant & Lounge - Winnipeg Garden City

When in Canada: Go to Smittys! I like to have a hearty breakfast here, it helps with jetlag. The staff is always friendly and accomodates every desired change of your dish.

We ordered quite a few dishes. The food varied from mediocre to downright terrible. The price compared to quality and portion size was not there.
I love the variety in their menu and so many different options, but when you order it, you are always disappointed.
The server tried but was lacking personality. We would have been better off being served by a robot. At least it wouldn't have forgotten everything we asked for.
Overall, it was a terrible experience and our bill came to over $200 for all of us which I personally paid for and now I feel like I was robbed.
You live, you learn, I guess.

Wasn't to satisfied with the breakfast, no flavour at all, straight plain. Even the French toast didn't taste the greatest. The only thing I liked was the back bacon &. Bread was cold, butter didn't even melt on the bread, hashbrowns tasted plain. Not to satisfied after spending $60 on three breakfasts. Way better places then smitty's in Winnipeg.

Went for wings & nachos tonight.
Wings tasted different with a weird aftertaste (we weren’t sure if the chicken was bad), uncooked (reddish meat). And the flavours (we got honey garlic, dill and pickle, maple bacon and garlic parm) weren’t tasting right either. We told the server, and he talked to the manager and said that the wings they used for wing night and normal nights are different. But in my opinion that shouldn’t matter. Different chicken or not, it should not have tasted that way. We didn’t finish our meal, and ended up going somewhere else cause we were completely dissatisfied. They didn’t do anything for us. We still had to pay for the meal.

One of the best locations in the city. Staff and manager are super friendly. The food tasted great!

Mandy was a wonderful server. I haven't seen my friend in awhile & she went above and beyond for us. It really made my day. Shout out to BOH! Thanks for going above and beyond for us as well. Cheers!

My favorite wing place in Winnipeg. A lot of options that I like. Gojuchang is my favorite.

What really appealed the most to me was the fact that they keep the place clean. Most places you go to cleanness is a big issue specially when it comes to bathrooms.

Always a great wing night. Service is always fantastic considering how busy staff are! Eric at the garden city location is a Gem!

Went for a quick snack and a drink spent 20 bucks on chicken fingers and was given the smallest portion pretty much a kids meal but less. For 20 dollars. Fries were stone cold and soft. Fingers were incredibly hot (a good thing) but over cooked and was definitely old oil. Bitter as heck. Ordered a whisky sour (my fault ordering that at a smittys) and was nasty was just whisky mixed with some kind of green juice. Pretty sure they had to Google what it was. Waiter was okay. Never again

Great food, friendly prompt service, can’t wait to see the new dining area once it’s renovated!

Had horrible experience few weeks back with having a drunk woman fall all over me while sityong in my booth.not to mention they secretly changed the steak sandwhich dynamic and it now is trash portions and quality. Smittys Has gone so down hill since 2018.sad

I'm actually a regular here at the Smitty's @GardenCity, so this is a one-sided review. The staff is respectful and professional, the food is pretty good and arrives promptly, and the atmosphere is the reason I come back every week.

My server Mya went above and beyond to make sure our table was satisfied with our food and made fabulous cocktails, probably one of the best ones I’ve ever had. Definitely returning to this location and requesting Mya again.

Mya was really nice and sweet. She spoke loud and clear. And she told me I looked gorgeous, that's so nice.

Went to Smittys Garden City for the first time, it was a great experience, food was delicious and my server Mya was the sweetest, went above and beyond! Although the atmosphere felt cold and boring. Regardless, I will definitely be back!

Food was good service was great, prices were ok and amount of food was good, although better than other places o have been

This restaurant is good for having a breakfast on weekends.
Me and my family went to Smitty’s this weekend and the staff were very polite! The restuarant overall looks nice with a couple of TV’s and a special area for watching UFC fights.
I ordered a Big Country breakfast and it was really good! The bacon was cripsy and cooked well and the sausage was well cooked and the egg was runny which I like. The drinks came on time as well and the staff checked on us once in a while. My family really liked the food here.
The only thing is that the hash brown wasn’t cripsy enough for me. I’m not sure if that’s how it’s made but the hash brown wasn’t enough for me. Also it took about 20 - 30 minutes time for the food come even when there wasn’t that much people in the restuarant. It might be because we ordered a lot of food but

Overall I think that this restaurant is good for watching live sports with friends at the bar. And having a cozy breakfast to eat on a weekend! Definetely recommend people to eat here!
