Smitty's Restaurant Regent

My first time visiting this location, I loved the wings from the franchise.the customer service is very friendly and polite. The only observation that I have is concerning my food issue (dairies) and not many options to choose from. Definitely, I will be back.

I ordered nachos.basically no cheese. They tried charging full price and I said that's unacceptable. My chips were dry! I then got 5$ off.

Tried their new all you can eat fish for the first time with about 5 family members. First of all they don't warn you of the rules, everyone at the table must first eat everything off of their plate meaning the fries and the first 2 peices of fish they give you before anyone can order again. Wish they would let these rules be known before hand as it is not written on anything. The first 2 fish they give you are covered in a heavy batter almost like a donut batter only thing missing was the brown sugar and cinnamon. It was so thick that anyone would be full after eating the first two pieces and the fish inside was so thin. Disappointing part was after you order and eat the first 2 fish and fries they give you than can you only order after everyone at the table has finished eating everything off of their plate. Stupid rule to make without letting us know before hand especially when i eat quicker than my 16 year old daughter and my 65 year old mother. Not only that but they only bring 1 piece per person at a time, again with the thickest batter I have ever seen. We ate in total between 5 people maybe 15 peices of fish which wasn't very filling for all you can eat, on top of that we waited maybe 30 mins between each order of 1 fish after we ate. We spent over 2 hrs in the establishment and were not satisfied. Will definitely not be going back again for this promotion and would much rather stick with Joeys only for all you can eat fish. The waitress was nice and explained that she was not prone to the all you can eat fish and our table was her first experience for the promotion. Felt rather embarrassed and alienated for an all you can eat fish dinner.

I had ordered the fish it was very soggy and my poutine was cold. The server was hard to find when needed.

Took my kids for breakfast and it was quite a nice time. Our waitress was great and made sure my coffee was always full. Food was good and came out fairly fast for how busy it was. Will visit this location again as this has been one of the best experiences we have had at Smitty's

Our waiter was awesome. He was very friendly good humour and loved chatting with us. We got wings and were very satisfied the seating is really nice. Large area, would go again.

My granddaughter ordered chicken quesidas and the bottom was so soggy it fell apart. Otherwise the food was good.

Great place to go if you’re having a craving of chicken wings while watching the Jets play! Every night has a deal for food! Most popular are the wing nights on Tuesday and Thursday! But I believe Monday and Wednesday have discounts on wings as well! Service is usually great! Sometimes when the bar and lounge area is packed, the wait for food could be a while but as long as you’re enjoying with great company, it seems to come by quickly!

We came on wings night, so th wait on food was a hit longer than usually. However, everything tasted great:)

Smitty's has been around a long time, and some of them are good and some not so, this one is the nicest one I'm been to in Canada in many years, good food, fast friendly service, and clean.

One of the few restaurants I go to because they check vax cards diligently! Great breakfast and service. Jessey always takes great care of us!

Not sure how you screw up the children's Happy Cakes but they sure did today. Served the cinnamon swirls pancakes, our side of bacon, my breakfast and my boyfriends omlette but his son had to wait on his pancakes. All 3 of us were complete our breakfast by the time the child received his breakfast. (Yes we shared ours obviously) They said they added extra chocolate chips and apologized but was still not impressed. And then they charged full price for the pancakes. IDK A child's order should always come out FIRST or with the adults meals, never after the adults have their order. Definitely was not impressed with the service today

Our server was Jessey and he was the bomb. Com. 10/10 recommend going to this location. His quesadilla recommendation was *chefs kiss*

Jessey was awesome tonight, he made sure to keep our drinks topped up, and would check on us to make sure we were taken care of even though the kitchen got way behind. My suggestion to the management would be to make sure that the kitchen is staffed appropriately so that your team can deliver the experience they're fully capable of.

The food is good, staff is nice but we were there @ 11 am and they ran out of crepes. This was the 2nd time this happened. It's not something that should happen when you serve breakfast all day!

Service was excellent. Food was above average. Always make a point of eating at Smittys when on the road. Especially Breakfast.

Sat In the lounge and people were play the vlt's and never bought anything and they should have to eat there too you are not getting any business that way

Awesome service the waitress was perfect just like in the old days what a treat the omelet was not fully cooked but it was buzy there all else was grand.

I have come here for years. It's a staple for anyone who lives in Transcona. Staff is friendly, food is what you expect, decent.

Came here for wings with my family and was told I couldn’t feed my 7 month old his food. Are you kidding me? Who runs this place? You should be ashamed!

Good service the last few times I've been here for dine in here. But with restrictions lifted and patio being open I've seen the line ups have been pretty crazy in the nicer days so just be prepared to wait for your going here for the patio after 5pm.

Whenever you go to Smitty's you can count on great food and great service. Coffee is always on. Whenever we go to Smitty's on Henderson or Smitty's on Regent or even Smitty's on Pembina, we are never disappointed.

Great place for a fast, quality meal, especially breakfast or lunch. Comfortable seating and decor inside and out on the patio. Perfect place to make memories with friends and family.

Just if you're a bit squamish around undercooked eggs, ask to have them cooked a bit longer.

We had the Cobb salad and wings tonight and neither one was great. The salad had avocados on it that were dark brown and old and the tomatoes was over ripe. For $16.99 this was very disappointing. I did tell the waitress.
The wings we have had here for years but tonight they weren’t hot and tasted like leftovers.
The beer was good but not cold.
I don’t thk we’ll be going back. Disappointed because this used to be our go-to lounge.

Some covid protocol confusion by hostess at the door. Ie who is vaccinated and who allowed to sit together but figured out. Food great, good speed and friendly staff.

Always great service and friendly staff, they have accommodated nicely to account for the pandemic and dining outdoors. Good lounge atmosphere and a great family dining side to boot! Highly recommend this Smitty's!

Had the beef dip with a Cesar salad. Was really good and it was nice to finally meet a friend for lunch. We are both fully vaccinated. Did show our QR codes to get in.

My server last week was extremely friendly constantly checking in and starting conversation. Great to talk to. She was constantly running in the heat to keep up with the fact they were obviously understaffed. Not sure if it was management or the owner that was treating our server poorly right in front of us making our server visibly upset. Very unprofessional and made my wife and I feel bad for the young girl. Again WONDERFUL SERVICE BY SARA and WONDERFUL FOOD. Refuse to support this place again based on how my wife and I witnessed them treating their staff that were doing a great job. I don’t usually take the time to leave reviews but think this place needs to remember everyone is only human and my guess is a minimum wage job. Do better.

Ordered on Doordash, staff member I talked to was extremely friendly and nice, even wrote note on the bag. Highly recommend

The sweet chili chicken salad was horrid. The dressing was too vinegary and tasteless. The greens were dripping in the dressing to add insult to injury. The sweet chili sauce was drizzled on the chicken and not part of the dressing as implied. Unedible.

Great food and friendly service but the waitress didn't split the bills correctly and when I tried to correct the mistake she said it was the only possible way to split it. I ended up paying for other people's food and drinks so that was a bumber

Has pretty good service there! Watch out for those fire cylinders out on the patio they tend to crack. But good food and lovely service! Just took a while to get our wings but they were tasty!

Ordered take out wings and a couple cold ones. Perfect friendly fast service and wings good too! Food was ready in 15 mins.

Great atmosphere and Covid-19 precautions in place. Plus the food was so good, I forgot to be worried about Covid-19 for a bit.

I'm very happy with the service here. Waitress was very pleasant and accommodating. This restaurant's response to the new covid-19 regulations was very good. Food was delicious but not too expensive. A great experience overall!

Service was fine and the food was fine but the prices are out of this world. To much money for a breakfast. Won't be going back anytime soon.

Chicken breast in salad was so hard could barely get a fork in it. Waited for close to 10 minutes before being offered coffee. It wasn't till another waitress told our waitress that we were waiting a long time before she came over to take our orders and ask what we would like to drink. Prices are high for the quality. Won't be coming back.

The staff is mostly pretty good But Joann (not sure on spelling, sorry) always seems to go out of her way to give extraordinary service. Tara and Trevor appreciate the consistent amazing service and attention to detail
