Smokey Hollow

Quaint lodging just outside Riding Mountain National Park. The owners were so friendly and accommodating to last minute itinerary changes. Rooms have nice recent upgrades and are clean and cozy. Was snowing when I was there, but space in the back (fire pit and pool) looked quite nice. I would certainly recommend.

Nice place to stay as an out of the way base of operations for enjoying Clear Lake / Riding Mountain National Park — golfing, hiking, e-biking, x-c skiing, snowshoeing, etc. Clean, quiet, super pleasant and accommodating. I’ll be back!

Rooms are very clean. Had an upgrade which was very nice, can do your own meals which was great. Comes with a BBQ, complete kitchen. Switch over to our original room.
Again, the room was very clean. It's very basic for a couple of nights.

We hosted a family reunion at Smokey Hollow on Sept 28 &29/23 and we absolutely enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean and modern, the grounds were well looked after, the firepit was stocked with wood and the heated pool was still open for the kids to enjoy. The pavilion was well stocked and was perfect area to host a large group. And the owners were very accommodating and wonderful people to deal with. I would definitely recommend this facility to others and sure hope to return once again.

Smokey Hollow is our new favourite retreat! Our room was clean and bright. The outdoor fires pit is amazing and we spent the day tubing on the property. The pavilion is amazing. A large open communal space with a fire place and the comfiest of couches. The owners are lovely- can’t wait to come back!

Smokey hollow is my go to place in any season, not only is it very affordable to leave room for shopping, touring and food! Smokey hollow is in a great walking distance for all activities! Like the park and beach, if you go in the opposite direction you’ll find yourself at poplar ridge which is perfect if you take advantage of their stay and play during the summer!

We just completed our stay at Smokey Hollow and couldn't be happier! The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff addressed any and all of our concerns right away. As contractors, our options for accommodations are most times limited to only a few options and are often not very nice quality. We'll that was certainly not the case here! We are so delighted to have chosen Smokey Hollow and will certainly be staying again, as we continue our work in the area. Thank you soo much for a very accommodating stay! Great job!

Such a beautiful, private and quiet spot! Its perfect for large groups. Our rooms were squeaky clean and very comfortable. We were lucky enough to stay in the garden suite attached the Pavilion and wow what a suite! The grounds are beautifully maintained. Top notch customer service was provided! We will definitely be back.

Friendly and helpful staff, excellent location close to the park. The heated pool was definitely a bonus. Will definitely stay again in the future.

Stayed 1 night in the garden suite, room was clean & space was perfect for what we needed. We prefer flatter pillows and room was a bit hot, we did open windows which helped cool room off. Owners are amazing, very helpful and let us check out a little later.

Erica was a lifesaver when we called her at midnight looking for a place to stay after a long day of travel and an incorrect code at our booked motel! She met us at the room and didn’t even get a credit card, just trusted that we would settle up in the morning. The room was clean and quiet, a lovely property with excellent customer service!

We had such a great stay at Smokey Hollow. We loved room 10 which is renovated with A/C and a kitchenette. Our room was spotless and so comfortable for 4 people. The pool is fabulous and so great on a hot day. Wasagaming and Clear Lake are just minutes away and very convenient. Whenever we are in the area again we will absolutely stay here. Thank you to the staff for making our trip so memorable.

This is a great place to stay with reasonably priced rooms and above all excellent service. The owners go above and beyond to make sure your stay is the best it can be. I would definitely recommend Smokey Hollow to all my friends for a great location to all the fun offered Riding Mountain and Clear Lake.

We loved our stay here! The owners were so great to deal with and very responsive to emails before our arrival. It is less than 5 minutes from the Poplar Ridge golf course, and short 8 minute drive in to Clear Lake, and the resort itself is beautiful! Our cute room had a fridge and microwave, there are bbq’s outside to use, and our room had a small deck where we enjoyed morning coffee. The grounds are beautiful, the fire pit is such a great feature, and the heated pool was an amazing bonus!

The resort was such a lovely quiet and serene spot just five minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Clear Lake. The owners were so friendly and accommodating! We stayed in the Cottage Suite and it was so great for a family! We will be back to enjoy this piece of paradise!

Smokey Hollow is the place you need to stay at. Amazing experience from the cottage looking cabin, well maintained, very clean, The grounds very nice and clean and the Staff very nice and friendly. Very affordable and minutes away from the park. We will be staying there the next time we go back. 200%.

My daughter and i stayed here to go hiking in Riding mountain and explore Clear Lake. It was excellent! The owners were incredibly thoughtful and caring ensuring we had everything we needed. The room was spotless and everything was provided for. The rooms are large and tho a bit older very clean and inviting. The pool is so nice and warm after a busy day. Had a great time!

Wonderful accommodations very close to RMNP. Staff was very helpful and friendly and made sure that we had everything that we needed. Beautiful property with large well maintained pool area. The suite was roomy and clean and had everything that we needed. Very quiet and peaceful area. Would definitely stay here again!

We had an excellent stay at Smokey Hollow. The Pavilion was a perfect location for our family gathering. The pool was very clean and warm.

I just hosted a Family Reunion for 50+ people at Smokey Hollow which is in it's first year under new owners. It was the perfect venue for our needs. We rented The Pavilion and it was an awesome place to gather as a large group to visit, display memorabilia, reminisce, play games, etc. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to prep and serve our group meals. Motel rooms accommodated the majority of our group and it was great that most people could stay on-site. It was a very hot weekend so we spent a lot of time both in the pool and in The Pavilion which is air conditioned. A few unique local businesses and a school playground were within walking distance. One day, a contingent of golfers headed out to one of the local courses while other family members made the short trip into Wasagaming to shop and explore.
I highly recommend this locale for gatherings. Thank you Annik and Erica for your hospitality!

Erika the general manager is incredibly helpful. Although we could not stay at the hotel due to a conflict in our own planning she did find us something and did so by coming out of our way to meet us. We are grateful to her kindness. Great location with clean, perfect sized rooms. Went there for a bachelor party. We were having a fire and used up quite a bit of wood and the owner saw and immediately ran out to grab more and said, "Don't worry boys, unlimited amount of wood is on the house! "
Great guy, lucky to meet him, he was very inclusive of everyone. Guy just has the personality to be in the retail biz! Highly recommend.

Great staff and new management, special thanks for Anik and Erika for taking care of our needs. Rooms are fully renovated, beds and blankets are brand new, fridge, microwaves and kitchenette are squeaky clean! They also have bonfire place where you can make your smores, a pool to cool you off, a jacuzzi to relax and poarche to have your morning breakfast. It's also 2min drive to riding mountain park so it's pretty close to the great parts of wassagaming.

We will definitely go back here for sure! Highly recommended for our friends and families.
