Sobeys - Steinbach

My sister and I were having special family over for supper. We bought the same day made cinnamon buns they looked gooey and moist. Just wonder how many other people did you disappoint that day. That went to indulge in a treat from your so call excellent bakery. As serving dessert we notice that they were packaged upside down. The tops were so burnt and black they could not be salvaged. Waste of money and an embarrassing moment for the family. I will never return to this bakery. Where is the management to not have noticed this.

The greeter, Evan, and Amber the cashier are always so pleasant and happy, always make the experience great. Even when I come early in the morning! Excellent staff.

The prices at this store are just too high! Even some of their on sale items are still too high in price!

I am surprised Walmart and Superstore has not put this place out of business yet.

If you're looking for a quick grab and go lunch, the deli there has lots to choose from. Sandwiches, soup, hot foods, cold foods, etc.

Came from Minnesota and store was amazing! Got everything we needed for our weekend stay in Steinbach, and most things were a great price (I’m surprised other reviews say it’s spendy here).

The gift basket/floral department at this Sobey's location is EXCELLENT! Carol and her staff are precise in getting all the pertinent information to make up the most amazing - and appreciated, gift baskets. They are friendly, knowledgeable and willing to assist you in all aspects of putting together the best items for your gift basket!

Purchased deli cream cheese cinnamon buns only to get home and realize whoever made them iced them upside down? On top of that they are very hard and the icing tastes nowhere close to cream cheese. Disappointing

A new floor plan at Sobeys since I last visited. Nice Floral Department with ready- to-go gift baskets at $40-$50 or order a custom made one. Fresh flowers and potted plants sets a real Spring Season atmosphere. Friendly staff always willing to help.

Was extremely busy and poorly organized when I went. No pandemic protocols in place and not enforcing mask policies.

Had an experience with a customer treating us like we had the plague as we had no masks and he was blaming us for what is going on with covid.you need to announce to customers to be mindful that some may have exemptions and ask them to be kind. Also stand up to our government like monstrosity burger in winnipeg is doing and unmask your employees.

UPDATE: Spoke to management and they were very friendly and professional, and even though it was too late to get a cake from them, they tried their best to make it right. Management gets 5 stars…

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in the bakery. Tried to get a birthday cake made for our son, and they refused to print a pattern we wanted. Said she didn't have what we wanted, so we created a photo of the pattern we wanted using Lego bricks. Because the photo had Lego pieces in it, she said she can't print it (trademarked products or something), even though I took the photo. So, we asked if we could do a drawing instead. She said yes, So, I created a new graphic, from scratch (I'm a graphic artist, so it was pretty easy) - And she still said no. She accused us of lying, and said we just took it off the internet. And refused to work with us. I even sent a letter of permission to reproduce the graphic with my wife, and the bakery employee wouldn't budge. The graphic did not contain any trade marks, or copyrighted materials.a complete original creation, and she said we were lying. After 3 trips back to the bakery we are now stuck scrambling to get a cake made in time for my sons birthday. So, I would NOT recommend you go to this bakery.ever. Clearly there is no reason to ever go get anything made at this bakery again. Will find a "real" bakery next time - one that doesn't accuse their clients of being liars.

Came in to the bakery for a variety of items and I was pleasantly surprised at the service and quality the bakery offers. The management was friendly and helpful. The bread is the best in town and made fresh that day. My first choice hands down for anything baked.

Pretty clean facility, pretty good selection of food. My only complaint is how crammed it feels in there. I always feel like I'm about to bump into someone or a display

This store has a good selection of items you cant find else where, prices are decent and a nice layout.

During this time of social distancing and covid-19 no services have been changed to assist single parents with young children and no vehicle. Wanted to order groceries even if it's for pickup for a family in steinbach and this is unavailable. Right now during this time for protection of families with young children and single parents with no vehicle better options should be available and Sobeys has always pulled through in the past hope this changes

I just love the excellent customer service at the Steinbach store. Even with all the crazy stuff going on at the moment, the staff are friendly and helpful, lovely to see all your smiling faces. Thank you all so much for all you do.

This is my favorite place to shop. The stores is always clean and well organized. I always fine what I need and also land up leaving with more than I went for lol. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. Love my Sobeys

Ordered a birthday cake from Sobeys for my son's birthday, it was the BEST cake we have ever ordered from anywhere. It was light, moist and the icing was the perfect (not overly sweet) I find the staff at Sobeys to always be friendly and helpful whenever I'm there.

Not the cheapest place to shop, so we prefer doing the majority of our grocery shopping at Superstore in Steinbach. The upside to Sobey's is that they have a fairly decent sized Allergy Free Section (Gluten/Diary)! Mind you, the ones in Winnipeg have way more selection, they definitely have more than Superstore, so we get most of our Gluten/Diary Free Specialty items here!

I've shopped at Sobeys all my life and have always loved it. However in the last 4 months they moved their organic section away from one central location to all over in the produce section. I don't enjoy this new system. I find it more difficult to identify what is organic.

Always love Sobers. Love the fresh doughnuts and if you can't find it anywhere else they will have it. Yes they are probably the most expensive in town but it is DEFINITELY worth it.

Always a pleasure to shop there. Very friendly ready to help where they can.but just like everywhere price is high. They do have pretty good sales.

I shop every week at Sobeys. It has great staff, helpful, great fresh products and we love the pharmacy and how helpful they are. I like the meat department and their advice for preparing meat. The bakery is great and the people care and are helpful. Keep up the great job.

The staff are quite friendly and easy going. Some clerks reserve coupon prices like they're gold, however. Had a particularly bad experience with a girl who was refusing to scan the coupon from an in-store flier she had in front of her, which were readily available.

Not even a Sobeys compared to the Brandon one. We want an upgrade! But none the less a great grocery store with the normal groceries and even some local ingredients.

Have shopped at the Steinbach location for years. Prefer it to Superstore for service, but prices are higher. Walmart prices are better too for a lot of things.
They seem to always be moving things around though. Couldn't find much selection of a particular product, asked for assistance, she showed me where to find it, and said soon there will be even less of this product because they're changing it again.
Very frustrating.
What I love about Sobeys is that they carry products based on the Steinbach crowd. Farmer sausage, New Bothwell cheese, etc.makes me keep coming back.
Service is usually fantastic too.

Love going to sobeys I just wish it was more affordable so I could go more often. Once in a while they will have a good sale on something so I will go there to buy it or if I feel like a good bear paw donut as they make the very best ones and they are always fresh.

I love Sobey's. I used to be a baker there, in Saskatoon.

Nobody beats their high quality products. I mainly shop here for deli and bakery products.

The Steinbach location has very friendly customer service.

The best place to shop for groceries in Steinbach. Excellent variety in all departments. The staff is always available for assistance. The meat department is extremely helpful and will cut meat in any thickness. The deli department is always well stocked and they carry an extensive selection of lunches to go.

Sobeys store in Steinbach Clearspring center is by far my favorite grocery store. I find it a clean, organized, peaceful, and friendly shopping experience every time.
They have a good product selection and also a full service in-store pharmacy.
