Sobeys - Northdale

Prices are almost robbery compared to Walmart or superstore everything is marked up by 1$ or more for the same products

Too pricey, they make you wait in one big line up like babies and filter you threw like cattle and if you ask for carry out they look at you like as if you need it

This Sobeys is amazing in every way, ample parking, easy to get to, wheelchair accessible, the staff are excellent, they can help you find any item you may need. They also help you get in and get out fast so you don't feel like it takes for ever! Great job Sobeys, two thumbs up!

Wow beautiful facilities, excellent customer service, very clean, great parking, prices high but worth it. Fantastic section of grocery/meat/fish and specialty items.

Absolutely the worst Sobeys in the city of Winnipeg. Displays and shelves in all departments are almost always empty or picked over by 4 or 5pm. Only thing they are always stocked up on is chips. Very tired of always making a second stop at another store to get the items I need. Will never stop in this store again. If I could rate it a zero, I would.

Bought a pack of cherry tomato today, it was MOD at the bottom! Can’t believe how the Sobeys control their product quality and how can they even didn’t check their product before they put it out on the shelf? Unbelievable bad quality. A fancy supermarket sell mod fruit? Who would image this happened? I was there this afternoon and wanted to buy a box of strawberry, can’t even pick up a nice fresh strawberry so I chose the cherry tomato, and I feel very disappointed, I would never come back to this store ever again!

I Got harrassed by 2 employees to put my mask over my nose, thats discrimination i have the right to breathe freely

About as good as a sobeys gets.so its decent.good deals to be found if you look.mostly good quality stuff.

Overall, a positive experience, although I did have my fair share of not so good experiences. I do like how the produce department was put together after renovations whenever back. Either way well run store

Nice atmosphere. Feel like up in an upscale trendy food market compared to an average grocery store.

I always find shopping at Sobey's to be an enjoyable experience. I tend to spend more money when I do shop, but they offer a nice atmosphere and signature products you won't find in other grocery stores. The staff is always friendly and helpful too.

I was they once I was box in the aisles not very much room.touch something and had blue dry like all over my hands so watch out don't know where it comes from I notice to late customers service wasn't any help got more help from the guy wiping down the carts at least he help me get my hands clean good guy thanks

Very clean and staff is very professional and helpful. Friendly and nice place to go for groceries.

A lot over zealous on the mask of the beast rule.but they are just following a corrupt government scam. Otherwise mostly nice people, a very well stocked store. Hard to understand what they are saying to you behind that big plastic shield while eearing a mask.

When I first moved to Henderson and adapted to my surroundings. My first visit to this sobeys was traumatic. It seemed dark and dingy. The clientele were ignorant and rude. The staff were too busy personal shopping to want to help me. If its your break, disguise your uniform, I'm only human.
The quality of the food prep was kind of unsettling. I did not buy and fresh cut fruit. The vibe from the staff made me think they didn't care. Therefore is would reflect in the food. The rest of that trip was a disaster.from not having everything I needed in stock to the uncomfortable checkout.

Going forward a little over a year, things have changed. I really like the manager (don't know her name).
And the staff have gotten a lot happier!
Its kept fairly clean. I have not used their washroom. The stock has been good. Sometimes their sale/airmiles tags are unclear or missing.
I feel maybe they are going through some growing pains, but they are on their way!

This is the first time I have been here since the renovations. I don't live in this neighborhood but I was visiting my mom and stopped in to get groceries, on my way home. I HATE HATE HATE the new layout. It is very hard to get around and find what you are looking for. It does not make any sense. I only had 6 items on my shopping list and only left with 3! Your lactose free selection is a joke. Milk and one yogurt and one brand of ice cream!? Seriously? The selections of brands of other items was very slim. The prices are way too high. The staff was rude when I needed help finding the simplest things and my cashier was rude. I won't be back. Thankfully I dont live around here anymore and don't need to rely on this store.

Very good except the lines were fairly long. I may have just come at a busy time though.about 10 minutes in line to purchase 4 items

I love my SobeysNorthdale has been my location for many years. And i find most of the staff to be friendly, professional and quite attentive. If you have any issues. Management here are great.

Sobeys has been very friendly since covid as they were before. They never treated their customers as a disease I noticed. So many are struggling to keep their jobs etc. There are so many stores I will never shop at when this is over because they are so rude and act like gustapo since covid. I tell friends and family if you want to be treated well as you spend 100s of dollars, go to sobeys

Customer service is hit or miss - either it's amazing and perfect or terrible.there is no in between at this Sobey's.

Never crowded. Likely cause prices are slightly higher than competitors. Nice store. Good/Quality food.

They really need to get rid of the stupid divider they put in the store to force you to go around the store to get what you need. This isnt ikea guys I shouldnt have to walk around the store perimeter to get to the cash register.

Purchased cut Glads. A customer service rep asked me if I knew the 'trick' to ensure that the Glad blooms would open. Since I didn't, she shared the trick and boy was she correct! The blooms have opened and the Glads are gorgeous! Thank you!
Trick: snip off the top few unopened blooms. This will force the 'energy' of the Glad to be funneled into opening the blooms rather than into 'growing' the Glad stock taller.

Very friendly staff. Great produce and incredible bakery. And it's nice they are open until 11: 00. That really helps.

Disappointed in lack of social distancing in the store lately. It's as if the virus is gone. Sobeys I thought were leaders in industry.

My one issue with the layout of the newer Sobeys is they're not covid friendly with the directions. If I miss one thing on my list I have to cart around the store for another mile till I get back to it. Two frustrating experiences I will now be avoiding any newer Sobeys layout.

You need to find a better way for people to choose what kind of bag they want. I waited behind a family for ten minutes in line buying 7 things because the cashier and the folks had to make a life decisions on buying bags. So I tried moving to another till, nope, gotta unfold the paper bag and reach deep down because those things are deep and must be packed just so, I had to leave my purchases because I could not wait any longer.

I shop here purely out of convenience. The cashiers deserve a 5 star rating as they are always great. The lay out of the store entrance is a ridiculous maze with narrow choke points crowded by the deli counter customers. There is never any help to be found in any of the aisles. If you are able to flag someone down, good luck trying to get any helpful information out of them.

As a past employee for 19 years. They put on fake faces for customers and treat staff like garbage. If it wasn't for employees they wouldn't have a successful store

Great selection of produce. Store was really clean. Not my go to location but overall good experience.

Overpriced. Not especially clean. Never buy frozen veggies from here as it's obvious they've frozen and thawed many times. Crowded aisles with merchandise blocking some aisles exit. Go to Superstore and take 1/4 off your bill.

Great sobeys lots of product, helpful staff. Great selection of everything you need. Highly recommend going here

Store is poorly laid out prices on most items are ridiculous they will not meet competitors pricing

Always a reliable stop for replenishing the diminshed supplies in fridge and pantry. I have found the staff here very helpful and accommodating. With reasonable prices - do remember to comparison shop, though - they are worth the trip for special weekly and/or monthly bargains. Shopping here is always less stress than a trip to Superstore, but, as already said, mind the prices to optimise your budget.
